I booked and paid £216 for a simple job: collect one palletised writing desk in Swanley and deliver it to a gallery in St James's, 22 miles. Their own booking confirmation describes this as one service for one price, "payment received".

When the desk arrived at the collection point a day early — something their own Czech booking agent had been warned about in advance — they demanded a further £300 for overnight storage, then "reduced" it to £158, which I paid under protest to prevent the goods being refused. Their invoice describes this £158 as "extra hours", contradicting their own explanation that it was a "separate transport". They then contacted my customer, the receiving gallery, directly and took another £100 from them for storage — storage their representative had earlier promised in writing would be free. Total: £474 for one desk across London. For comparison, the entire 1,400 km transport from Prague to the UK cost less.

The desk was handed to them undamaged and professionally packed — their driver signed the CMR consignment note without any reservation. It arrived with a drawer front torn from its fixings. Their response: first "we received it in this condition", then, when shown their driver's signature, "we couldn't see inside the packaging". They refused to cover the repair and never provided the Goods in Transit insurance details they advertise with every booking. A formal Letter Before Action is pending, so far without any response.

Their website says "no hidden charges — the price you see is the price you pay". My documented experience says otherwise. Court proceedings are now being prepared. Avoid, or get every single scenario priced in writing before you hand them your goods.
