Two years ago, I spent nearly $1,300 ($1,289.88 including tax) after being told that their arch support system was highly personalized and specifically designed for my feet. During the appointment, the salesperson was very friendly and spent a considerable amount of time measuring my feet and explaining how these products would improve my condition.
Based on that presentation, I purchased:
Classic Arch Support – $449.99
Deluxe Leather Support – $489.99
Two Super Athletic Antimicrobial Inserts – $49.98
Two Arch Activators – $39.98
Lock Laces – $9.99
Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 shoes – $130.00
After wearing these products for two years, I can honestly say they did not provide the benefits I was led to expect.
Looking back, I feel the fitting process gave the impression that the supports were custom-made or uniquely tailored to my feet. However, I later realized these appear to be standard, mass-produced arch supports rather than truly customized medical devices. Similar over-the-counter arch supports are available online for a fraction of the price.
I want to be clear that my complaint is not about the salesperson. She was courteous, patient, and professional throughout the appointment. My disappointment is with the company's marketing and pricing. I feel I paid a premium for products that did not deliver results that justified the cost.
If you're considering purchasing from The Good Feet Store, I encourage you to research all of your options first, including much less expensive over-the-counter arch supports. I wish I had done more comparison shopping before spending nearly $1,300.
