Still haven’t been paid after two months. Incredibly unprofessional, opaque, and shady practices when it comes to compensating people who work events.
Worked a Goodera event and they were supposed to pay me and reimburse me for transportation two weeks after the event. The day goes by and I do not receive payment. I message the people from Goodera I had been in contact with to cohost the event with no response. I emailed the person I had sent my checking account information to and another host operation associate. I was told I would actually be paid on the 24th of the next month with NO explanation.
The 24th of the next month rolls around and I still have not been paid. I once again message everyone I spoke to. No response. I message Goodera Ambassadors Help and finally get a response saying that the bank transfer failed on their end, that I would be paid the next cycle IN A MONTH, and asked if PayPal was an option.
Why was this not presented to me as an option in the first place? Why did they not notify me that my payment failed? A friend who worked this same event also has not been paid. Incredibly unprofessional, opaque, and shady practices when it comes to compensating people who work events. I would not recommend working with Goodera.
