Diabolical Customer Services Management

I have had a problem with 2 pairs of glasses, the same design but different colours, and the response from a"Customer Services Manager" was atrocious.
Bioth pairs came with the same problem, the arm "sleeve" was loose and 1 has gone missing,
These glasses where ordered 10 months ago but this has no bearing on the outcome of the interaction I have experienced.
Firstly, I was informed that as the glasses are more than 1 year old, although they are 10 months old, I have no recourse with Goggles4u as they only offer a 14 day warranty. When I pointed out that this means nothing, they have to abibe by the Distance Selling Act 2012 and Sales of Goods Act 1979 I was informed that tyhey don't work with these, they have their own rules.
I pointed out that, as they are based in the UK, they have no option but to follow these acts.
I have also offered to buy the parts I need but the man was so obstinate he said buy new glasses and then put the phone down.

Our glasses come with a clearly stated 14-day warranty policy due to the delicate and wearable nature of eyewear products. This policy is displayed at the time of purchase and applies to manufacturing issues reported within that period.

Despite the order being approximately 10 months old and well outside our warranty coverage, our customer service team still offered a replacement as a gesture of goodwill, going beyond our standard policy in an effort to assist.

We would also like to clarify that we do not stock or supply individual replacement parts such as arm sleeves separately. For this reason, the suggestion provided was to order a complete pair of glasses.

Regarding the legal points raised, the Distance Selling Regulations referenced were replaced by the Consumer Contracts Regulations in 2014, and neither these nor the Sale of Goods Act 1979 provide unlimited coverage for accidental wear, loss of parts, or damage occurring after extended use. Consumer legislation requires products to be of satisfactory quality and durable for a reasonable period, but it does not obligate retailers to provide indefinite free replacements for fragile items after many months of use, particularly where wear-and-tear or missing components are involved.

Finally, we would like to address the claim that the call was disconnected from our side. Our records do not indicate that the call was intentionally terminated by our representative.

We always aim to assist customers fairly and respectfully, and while we understand the frustration involved, we apologise for the any confusion caused from our side and appreciate your understanding.

Do not order from this company, buyer beware!

The worst!The frames we not the color represented nor were they at all what was described. Said spring hinges and no spring hinges. Paid quite a bit extra for photochromic coatings which barely turn at all in the sun. When contacting customer service I have literally never dealt with or had a more frustrating experience. I will never order from them again nor would I recommend them to anyone. There are far better companies to choose from.

Concerning the spring hinges, the available frame features are listed under the “More Information” section on each product page. For the frame you selected, the listed feature included a "keyhole" and did not include spring hinges. Nevertheless, we sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the details given on the website.

Regarding the photochromic lenses, we would also like to clarify that these lenses activate only under direct sunlight, and the level of tint can vary depending on sunlight intensity. Typically, the maximum darkness achieved is around 50–60%, which may appear lighter under less intense sunlight conditions.

We always strive to provide the best possible customer service, and we regret that your experience did not reflect our usual standards. We can see that our customer service team offered you a replacement option; however, as you preferred a refund instead, we proceeded with the refund according to your request without requiring the product to be returned, in an effort to ensure your satisfaction and convenience.

Shopping online for glasses is not good

The glasses are fine but choosing frames not so great.
First order the frames were well made this order the frames are crap I could get better at the pick a pair rack in the corner store. I will be needing replacement glasses these will not hold up long.

I ordered 3 pairs of glasses

I ordered 3 pairs of glasses. Mine were a little small so they let me order another pair and keep the small pair. It took about a month to get them all but we are extremely satisfied. Customer service was very polite and willing to help with any issues. I have recommended them to several people. I will order in from them in the future. You can’t beat the price.

Uncomfortable

Good prices and never have an issue

Good prices and never have an issue. Far better than my local discount eye place. Shipping feels a little long and I wish they did the whole tracking thing better. But third time ordering and will keep doing so as long as the prices don't change.
