Abusive charge and poor customer sevice
I received a charge of $90 for a flat battery 10 days after my trip. When I called the customer service, the lady informed me that this was due to me leaving the key in the ignition. I have over 10 years of drive license and NEVER in my life left the keys in the ignition. The lady then asked me if I had proof that I didn't. Honestly, do you think I would record me doing such a basic thing?
I'm honestly disappointed and feel this was abusive. I checked the car twice before locking it back.
NEVER USING IT AGAIN

My original reservation was for 8.30 AM–11.30 AM, but when I arrived for my start time, I discovered that the battery was dead and the car would not start.Calling customer service and then requesting an alternative resulted in additional time waste and financial outlays for me.Additionally, the discount I had previously received on my original reservation was mysteriously not applied to the updated reservation.Overall, I had a fairly horrible experience; GoGet made a mistake, and instead of offering an apology, the customer had to pay more, and I had to prolong my modified booking because I lost nearly thirty minutes in the morning, which cost the customer more money.

Avoid GoGet – Poor Service & Broken Refund Process
GoGet used to be a helpful service, but after this experience, I can’t recommend it. There are cheaper and far more reliable alternatives like Flexicar.
I booked a van on moving day, only to find it nearly empty on fuel. Already behind schedule, I had to detour to refuel, only to discover that GoGet’s policy clearly states a $25 refund applies if the tank is below ¼ on pickup. I followed their process exactly—twice—only to be given the wrong forms both times and have my refund request denied.
This led to yet another 30-minute call with an offshore call center, where a rude representative refused to provide her name, claimed no supervisor was available, and insisted I fill out yet another form. By this point, I had already escalated the issue via their website with no response—until my call, when I was simply told to start the process all over again.
This isn’t just an isolated frustration; it’s a broken system that wastes customers’ time and money. If GoGet won’t stand by their own policies, why should anyone trust them? There are plenty of better options—do yourself a favor and choose one.

GoGet has a monopoly so it’s hard. They are the only vendor near me and yet so many times they charge me for things. Today is the last straw. Today they charge me for access in the car without a booking. Even though I have a screen capture of the booking. This happened to me before so now whenever I make a booking, I take a screen capture and they’re still not refunding me the fine. If you have to use them then use them. But just know they are such a rip-off.

I am beyond frustrated with this service!
I was wrongly charged $90 for a flat battery, despite informing them in advance about the issue and asking them to block the car’s timeout so it wouldn't inconvenience the next user. They told me they would run a diagnostic, but it was never done. To make matters worse, I was accused of leaving the key in the ignition, which caused the battery to die. I've been using this service since 2020 without any problems, and I always make sure to remove the key before parking. I was also promised a refund within 3-5 business days, but after multiple calls, I was told I wasn’t getting one. Don’t tell a customer they’ll be refunded if they aren’t going to follow through!
I’m extremely upset with how I was treated. It’s a shame because this service used to be great back in 2020, but not anymore. I wouldn’t recommend it, look elsewhere.

I rented a car from GoGet in Sydney, and it was absolutely filthy! It looked like it hadn’t been washed even once – covered in dirt from all sides, and the windows were so dirty that my friends, who had just arrived from another country, had to look at Sydney through a layer of grime. I felt embarrassed driving them around in such a neglected vehicle.
To make matters worse, when we got into the car, we found empty bottles on the back seats! Clearly, no one even bothered to check or clean the car before renting it out again. It was extremely uncomfortable to welcome guests in such conditions.
This was beyond disappointing. Never using this service again!

Tried to sign up for a new membership. There was a problem with their online Idetification system. I then spoke on the phone to two members of their staff (who I am sure was the same person under two names). Both times was met with no outcome and short.
All of this just to sign up an use their service. Was pretty keen to use these regularly but that alone has turned me off.

I was very disappointed and frustrated for being overly and incorrectly charged.

A complete waste of time signing up over the course of a week.
First, the app glitched out and I couldn’t complete the identity verification process. I reached out to customer service who told me they’ll revoke the application and I should start again.
Only this time, my email address wouldn’t work because it was ‘already associated with an account’ and I couldn’t log into the app using that email because ‘the account was on hold’.
Unshaken, I used a different email to sign up and was able to complete the application process only to stumble at the next hurdle which was BOOKING A VEHICLE.
25+ tries later, and I was greeted with the same message every time - ‘pre-authorisation failed…’. I tried using credit cards and debit cards from multiple banks with no success.
After numerous emails and calls to support with no progress, I received an email telling me my account was now on hold and to verify it with the amount that GoGet charged to my nominated credit card.
Two rounds of this continued (again with no success), until I gave up and visited my local Bunnings to hire a van (I was on the road within 30 minutes of entering the store).
Do yourself a favour, save your time and patience, and go to Bunnings instead (book ahead though as I got lucky with availability). And their vehicles are inspected before and after the trip.
What a utterly shambolic waste of my time.
Picked up car it stank of vomit. The car had blood stains on the passenger seat and food scattered throughout. Looked like someone had partied in it and dropped it back off. GoGet clearly was aware as they had thrown two air fresheners into the back-seat to try and cover it up. The windscreen had been wiped with a dirty towel and was streaky and dangerous.
I needed to catch a ferry so didn't have time to rebook.
I complained to goget and they offered me $20 credit for a future ride. I said this was unacceptable and I wanted to lodge a formal complaint.
They kept me on the phone for an hour before giving me a complaint number.
Gentleman on the phone asked me to take a picture of the problem. I've sent these to their admin email with zero response. At one point he asked me to spell "Vomit" and didn't seem to understand the problem. Kept asking me to photograph when I had explained "ad naseum" that the problem was a smell.
Would have refused the car from a traditional rental. Not worth it a day will likely never use this service again. No point in the convenience if vehicles aren't maintained to a minimum standard.
This was truly revolting having to drive kids around on holidays with the scent of someone else's bodily fluids throughout the vehicle.
It's been nearly 2 weeks since the initial complaint and nobody has followed up with me.

I had a terrible experience with GoGet and ended up canceling my membership. I spent over $200 just to get stranded because the car broke down, and even though NRMA confirmed it wasn’t my fault, I was still fined. They also switched the car I booked without my consent, and the replacement was old, dirty, and covered in bird poop. To top it off, their customer service was unhelpful and just blamed me for everything. The cars are poorly maintained, and the whole process felt like a waste of time and money. Wouldn’t recommend.

Seem very scammy, took my drivers license and debited my credit card. Then denied my application and locked me out of the app? I will report to scam watch.

FAKE FINES STRAIGHT OUT OF YOUR BANK ACCOUNT.
I had a terrible experience with GoGet. They charged me a $130 “parking” fine without providing any proof, explanation, or the real fine. I’ve always parked correctly and returned the cars in the designated bays. Despite this, they deducted the fine directly from my bank account without prior notice or evidence.
This is unacceptable, and I’ve since discovered many others have faced similar issues, losing money over what appear to be fake fines and fees. Their payment system is unsafe, and I strongly advise against giving them your payment details. Look for other car-sharing options if you want to avoid unnecessary stress and financial losses.

Have charged me a fee for saying I took a wrong car of $51 and I only need the car and returned it within that hour.
The problem is with GoGet any previous car that you have hired with them you can open with your swipe card without even having a booking This means that if you’re using your car and you’ve got stuff in it anyone that has Previously hired that Car can’t open it and access that car 24/7 and could steal your stuff or take the car nothing is Secure and then they overcharge you charges Like $51 saying you’re taking the wrong car. This company is a fraud company and they’re ripping off everyone but also when you use your car that your car is not secure just to you but anyone who has previously use it can access your car.

I want to express my dissatisfaction and frustration with the experience I encountered while attempting to rent a GoGet van. Despite my partner and I taking the day off and making all necessary arrangements for our move, we were unable to access the van we booked, which led to significant inconvenience and disruption.
Here are the issues we faced:
1. Booking Allowed Despite Application Pending: After creating my account, I was able to book a van for 10am for a four-hour period. However, upon arriving to pick up the van, we discovered that our application was still under review. We don’t understand why it was possible to make a booking if our application was incomplete.
2. Repeated Documentation Requests: Despite submitting the required documentation multiple times, I was repeatedly asked by customer service to resend it. This process took 1-2 hours of back-and-forth communication, during which we received inconsistent information. Initially, we were told that a verification code could be provided to access the van, then that we would be issued a credit, and finally, that we would need to create an entirely new account as our application had been rejected.
3. Requirement for a New Email and Account: In addition to having our initial application rejected after the booking was made, we were informed that we would need to create a new email address to submit a new application. This not only wasted our time but also compounded the inconvenience, given that we had already taken steps to complete the booking under the initial account.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The lack of clear communication, the repeated documentation requests, and the inability to access a service that we believed was already confirmed are unacceptable.

DO NOT USE GOGET, they give you fine even it is not your fault, i
I used Goget to film and upload the usage method. Even though I recorded the locking method and everything, they said there was a problem with the car and were charging me a fine. When I first called, they said the parking location was the problem, but when I presented evidence, they claimed that I didn't turn off the light, and when I presented a photo of the light turned off, they claimed that there were various reasons for the battery to be dead. The car I first rented was also damaged. I immediately called and changed the car, but please don't charge users for cars that they don't maintain. If I didn't record, it would all be my fault. If you use Goget, you should record everything otherwise, It would be your fault.
Ridiculous non-working AI identification app. Tried to verify with 2 different id documents, on multiple laptops. The app is unable to match. Tried calling and chatting, and they have no other option. Waste of my time.

Someone has used my details to fraudulently hire cars through goget.
Mind you the licence used was expired at the time this has happened.
Now I'm receiving fines for cars I have never driven, I've never even had a goget account.
I tried to contact goget, first I tried calling and the call kept dropping out and I couldn't hear what she was saying and she obviously couldn't hear me, plus it sounded like she was standing outside in the wind so I ended up hanging up bcoz it was getting no where.
So I emailed and was told they wouldnt help me telling me I needed a police report number before they could help me.
I provided a police report number, now I'm getting no response at all.
Just want the account deleted.

Terrible app wasn’t able to even sign up after submitting all documents then being told by a different operator something complete opposite. First because didn’t have hard copy license only digital and the hard copy I did have was expired then got told my acc was approved then when I went to pick up vechile my acc wasn’t activated got there at midnight to pick car up and got stuck… just to be told in the morning be a different operator that they don’t accept digital after the other operator telling me to upload

Goget is so irreponsible with its own process.
I hired a car but found out a stranger car is parked at the Goget parking spot. the process is to call the Goget team to notify and get advice. The advice I got - please park in the nearest and safest parking spot that has permit excepted sign as this car has the necessary car permit to park in the area. I did exactly that.
Few weeks later, I receive a fine from the council for parking over time. Goget is now saying I should deal with the council myself as they are not the ones who fined me. Not taking responsibility whether the car actually has a parking permit or not.
