Parcel gone and no refund, pay some attention for God's sake!

They send my parcel to my billing address instead of the shipping address! Now the parcel is gone obviously someone claimed it, and no refund in sight! This is your fault not mine, what is the point of asking for a shipping address if then you are sending the order to the billing one? Ridiculous!

Godfrey order

I don’t usually write reviews but I made an order with Godfrey for a personalised club kit splash jacket and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. The quality is excellent, as is the customer service. Specifically Sara from Godfrey, thank you so much for making my first order and experience so good. If you’re thinking of ordering then I would absolutely recommend it.

UNACCEPTABLE

I ordered a jacket. It was not clear that the jacket was non-returnable. The company refuses to give me my money back or to accept that they did not make this clear BEFORE purchase, only after. Avoid this company like the plague.

Custom kit is made specifically for that order, and cannot be re-sold like regular stocked items. For this reason, custom kit is non-refundable. Except in the rare case of a quality issue, in which case, please contact sales@godfrey.co.uk and we will rectify this as soon as possible
Stock (retail) Kit:
At Godfrey, we invest time in making our kit just right for you, and we have a stringent Quality Checking department. However, if in the rare circumstance you are unhappy with your stocked kit purchase, you can return the product using our downloadable Returns Form here

Any item returned to us must be received within 14 days of delivery, and in the original unworn condition

Costs of shipping any goods eligible for return or exchange are to be met by the customer. We advise customers to obtain a Certificate of Posting

Exceptional Service and Quality

I recently order from Godfreys in a last minute panic. They contacted me as I have selected all the incorrect colors etc. They could not have been more helpful. They knew I was in a panic to get the gear and they had everything done for me within the day and dispatched. So friendly so professional. I wear the gear a lot for coastal rowing and the quality is absolutely exceptional.

Amazing Service

The negative reviews are extremely misleading. From start to finish, Godfrey were amazing.

Ordered weightlifting singlets for a club, we were told 3-4 weeks as an estimated time for delivery and they arrived in under 3 weeks.

I dealt with a lady called Sara, extremely professional and always answered emails quickly.

Can’t fault the quality of the products received, would definitely use Godfrey again.

Great UK company making sports kit

Great UK company making sports kit. Always had good service and received high quality gear that lasts for ages. Have bought numerous things over the years both via phone and online. Most recently 3 AIOs for training camp. If you need something urgently then a quick phone call confirms what they have in stock. Of course there is a lead time for custom kit but nothing different from anywhere else. If you live local to the factory you can phone them to arrange pick up.

Weightlifting Singlet

We have order a number of weightlifting singlets from Godfrey and the service so far has been amazing!

The quality of the singlet against the price that was paid is exceptional!

Very accommodating, I couldn’t recommend Sara and her team enough!

Order November for Xmas gift 2023

Order November for Xmas gift 2023. Items turned up but embroidery on hoodie missing. I informed them gift and send another rather than send my hoodie back. Hoodie average quantity from there supplier cost trade £10 sell for £30 -35 pounds plus , cost of postage same as cost trade price? And might have gift before Xmas 🥲

Are they even trading?

they take the order and payment on an active website but no indication of delivery date and don't answer customer queries. I think they have been liquidated but still processing credit cards?

Really is a solid 1 star company

Really is a solid 1 star company. When you order on the site they give no indication of the huge lead times to actually getting your product. We ordered a number of items for our rowing club. After a few weeks we phoned and were then informed it was a 4 week lead time. 6 weeks later we phoned to be told they would be sent that week. The next week we called again to be told they had been dispatched to EVRI on the friday. 10 days later EVRI still have not delivered the products. It is absolutely torturous dealing with this company. I'm pretty sure if you have a large club it would be better to find a manufacturer to make them up and just cut Godfrey sports out as you will probably be retired from the sport by the time they deliver the goods.

Customer care? Never heard of it!

I can totally agree with Greig Harris’ review as my recent experience has mirrored his.
My two previous orders placed with the company some time ago were fulfilled without a hitch.
Godfrey people, you simply CANNOT continue like this on the customer care front. Take the time to read the comments - if they’re all saying the same thing, then there must be a common factor right? In this case, it’s your appalling CRM.
I myself had to ring you to confirm that you’d received an e mail that I sent about the long delivery time for my order. You ignored the e mail, and had I not contacted you, would you have even contacted me? I doubt it on this showing. And then, you say that you only had one of the item in question in stock, so not sure whether I’ll get it or not, and then the refund etc etc..
In the UK there are 4 or 5 other companies making rowing specific clothing whom I’ve also ordered kit from. Never that much of a hassle as with yourselves.
I would also say that the quality of the garment is average and the fit slightly questionable (I’m in between a size M and L depending on the garment so have tried both leggings and a uni suit).
I understand you’re under new management now?
If so, get a grip, otherwise your company will be consigned to the history books - a shame…

AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Placed an order on 22/02/2023.

As I hadn’t had an update or received the order, I contacted Godfrey on Thursday 30/03/2023, and spoke with Sara.

I provided my order number and and it was evident by Sara’s reaction that the order had not been dealt with, however, Sara did advise me that she would expedite the order and could expect it the following week.

I waited a further 3 weeks, to allow for the Easter break, and again contacted Godfrey on Monday 17/04/2023 as I hadn’t received the order, and spoke with Sara.

Sara remembered having previously spoken with me, and after checking, explained that the order was waiting for one of the order items to be embroidered, and that the order would be posted on 18/04/2023 or 19/04/2023.

I raised my concerns regarding the timescales, since placing the order, and the time it had taken to deal with it. Sara explained that Godfrey had gone through a change of server, which had caused delays to orders and that they are an international company, which deals with orders worldwide. She also stated that orders can usually take up to six weeks to deal with.

On Wednesday 19/04/2023, however, on inspecting the t-shirt with the embroidery, it was found to be of a poor standard, with letters in varying sizes and a loose thread on one of the letters (see attached photo).

I sent an email to complain on the following:

•The order not being dealt with until I contacted Godfreys
•The lack of communication from Godfreys
•The poor standard of the the product ordered
•No apology at any time during communication
•No offer of compensation

The poor service is not acceptable, and changes to a server are not the concern of the customer. If Godfreys were not in a position to deal with orders due to changes in their server, then they should have stopped taking orders until that was resolved.

The lack of communication from Godfreys is non-existent, and demonstrates that the orders received are not monitored from progress, to ensure customers are updated for any delays or issues with orders.

The quality of the product provided is of a poor standard, and again evident that no quality assurance is carried out before items are distributed.

Although Sara was polite at all times throughout telephone conversations, there was no offer of an apology or over concern that the order hadn’t been dealt with in the first instance or any urgency to expedite the order or offer of compensation for the delay in the order.

I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE!

Would like to award 0 star

Would like to award 0 star. Had difficulty placing order (they said there was a problem with their card system.)
They 'dont have a card machine' so couldn't do it over the phone, gave me the wrong bank account details. Paid money into their account on 14 th Dec 22, sent 2 further emails, no response, no goods, no refund. Appalling service

AVOID!!!!

I purchased a rowing kit in November and never received it, called and emailed customer services more than 10 times and every time they said we will issue your refund today and never happened. Avoid them.

Bad experience never again 2B2AD718-0101

Bad experience
09/10/22 forcing me to pay outside paypal circuit, after more then one month they did not send me anything.
10/11/22 They replied to me after a week of reminders saying that they had problems with the courier and as you can see from trk H0011C0001051231(Ermes) the 'item was shipped on 8/11 not on 25/10 as they had informed me.
17/11/22 We have arrived at day 17/11 and 'my order and' stopped who knows where, I received a comunication from the an post in order to pay 10.11 euro for brokerage fees, I paid immediately.
18/11/22 Godfrey responded to my complaint email informing me that if the shipment does not arrive by Monday 21/11 I will be refunded.
19/11/22 Item arrived, as per the attached internal documentation, the item was shipped on 8/11/22 and not on 25/10 as stated by them in the email.
Very bad service
Never again!
