Exceptional service everytime.

The service from this company, these people, over the years has been exemplary. I cannot state well enough how personal, clear, helpful, accurate and responsive their service has been. It is my ideal energy provider made real - I cannot imagine any better.

Professional, Friendly and very Reliable.

This is our fourth year with GNERGY. The service has proven to be professional and friendly. Our monthly invoices are clear, concise, and detailed. Queries are always solved very quickly and It is usually very easy to contact a staff member by phone, email or 'log in' and even easier to forward our monthly meter readings.

Absolutely criminal

Absolutely criminal. By default, you are on their highest tariff, which is significantly higher than any other tariff in London. Unless you sign up to direct debit they cannot change this, and there is absolutely no flexibility or ability to backdate t this.

Due to complications with our account being in the former occupant of our flats name, we got stung with 4 months at this ridiculous tariff and they were absolutely not willing to provide us with the lower tariff (which all you have to do to be eligible for is have a direct debit in place - which as I mentioned was impossible due to circumstances out of our control). This cost us £217! the same amount of usage on our new provider (Octopus Energy) was only £87.

Avoid this absolute sham of a company.

EDIT: In response to GNERGY's false response:

Your response is false. You did not send me anything, you addressed it to my landlord, I am not going to open his mail, that would be against the law. Are you suggesting the only way for me to get a fair deal with you is for me to break the law?

This is where the breakdown and lack of understanding from your side is. WE were not notified of anything, WE were not told we were on your insane tariff - this is why I have requested you back date the bill to the fair tariff, the one we would have been on had we known from the start. The bills were addressed to the landlord, not to a generic name such as the current occupant (which most companies do) or just to our address - they were being addressed to a different individual whom I had no right to open their mail, so there was no way of knowing that you had done this. I am failing to understand why you can not understand this and why your company is refusing to do the right thing.

I really hope no other individual gets stung by your shady business practices.

In regards to octopus prices and your condescending efforts to discredit the facts just look in their website, its publicly available and will allow you to do the maths on your current usage, they have no dodgy business practices or shady tariffs to hide.

Hi Tommy,

We place you on our Standard Tariff only if,
(a) we do not know who has moved in to the property since we do not tie them on a contract with us against their wishes, and
(b) the customer has requested to be on that tariff.

In your case you only informed us that you had moved in after 5 months (150 days since your tenancy started). During this time we have sent bills every month and a welcome letter to reach out saying we are you supplier via post. We also offered to switch you over to our super saver tariff which has better rates when you spoke to us over the phone.

Your bill of £217 is for those 5 months which is £43 on average each month and if Octopus Energy are only charging you £87 for the same amount of usage during these winter months then you have got yourself a really good deal and wish you the best with Octopus.

We will ensure the switch goes as smoothly as possible from our end.

Regards,
Subodh

Credit refund

Last year I ended the year with a large credit on my account. I rang the company and a helpful young man discussed a refund . He pointed out that leaving a proportion of the amount on my account could help in the winter months. Having agreed the amount to remain in my account the balance was paid back to my bank within a few days

Good service

Good service, good price, and easy to contact - no wandering through a maze of phone extensions or online chat rooms! And the bills are clearly itemised so you can see exactly what you're paying.
