George Martindale started G M Windows & Doors Ltd the Bolton-based double-glazing windows and door replacement business in March 2018. He brings a passion for delivering outstanding work and a wealth of knowledge to support it. George started in the industry while working for his father’s window fitting company Martindale’s, in Bolton. There, he gained immense insights into the best techniques and quality of materials and how he began establishing a solid network of contacts within the trade. His natural eye for detail and seeing first-hand how to run a successful business gave George the confidence to venture independently. What started as just George, a van, and word of mouth, is now a business with over 100 5 Star reviews. The first apprentice is now one of the top fitters in the region, and the fleet of vehicles is continuously expanding. You can find various services, from installing new doors and windows to repairing and replacing existing ones. G M Windows & Doors have an extensive range of products, such as the best composite doors, window replacement, casement windows, and double glazing, to find the perfect solution for your home.

Fom beginning to end went smothly
The whole process from beginning to end went really smoothly. The initial quote was detailed and clear. Fitters turned up on time on the day agreed and were very pleasant. Fitting was done without mess and I didn't need to redecorate afterwards. We are very pleased with the quality of the doors and windows and would recommend G M windows to others.
Many thanks

Fantastic service!
Lovely service, professional and efficient communication as well as a great clean-up after the installation. Bryony was wonderful at the logistics and aiding me throughout the design process of the door itself. Mick, our lovely fitter, did a fantastic job and the final door had a clean look that made the house feel almost new! Cannot recommend these guys enough.

We really appreciate your recommendation and choosing G M Windows & Doors👍
Service and quality very good
Surveyor came to inspect very quickly and advised what I could/couldn't have due to the existing type of window I had. Mick (who fitted the window) was very quick, friendly and cleaned up afterwards. He also asked me to phone for another window key as they had only sent one - I probably wouldn't have noticed! My only reservation was that I didn't hear anything for 2 weeks after I paid the deposit. However I can certainly recommend.

The service was very professional from start to finish. The quote was detailed and when I asked for a second option it was no problem. We had to postpone the installation at short notice and this was accommodated straight away with no fuss. The installation was carried out with minimum disruption and they tidied up well afterwards. I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.

Palladio door
Very helpful advice from George that made the decision making process easier . Bryony was very patient when pricing multiple different options .
We have waited a long time for this door as it has come from Ireland , but we are very happy with the result and the care taken during installation.

Great communication and amazing service
Great communication via Bryony throughout - really friendly approach. They had some stained glass custom made for me and I could not be happier with the result! The fitter on the day was really friendly too and kept me informed about what he was doing (the house is old so he had to do some workarounds!). Fantastic service.

This was the second time i have used GM Windows & Doors, and this time they came to install 4 windows upstairs. Lovely, friendly guys were so polite, arrived on time, worked really hard, and tidied up after themselves. The windows look great! It has rained since and i have noticed that the water remains on the OUTSIDE of the house where it BELONGS! ...so, bonus! No more towels on the window ledge for me :)
