My daughter attends night school for maths. Her teacher has really helped her understand and enjoy the subject, and I’m very happy with her progress. My daughter has made significant growth in maths.

My son has been doing 11+ Maths and English here, and we’ve been really impressed. The tutors are friendly, encouraging, and really help him feel confident while learning. Definitely worth it!

I cannot recommend GLA Tutors highly enough. The support and dedication they provide is exceptional, and Chris (Christopher Daniels) in particular is a truly outstanding private tutor.

Chris consistently goes above and beyond to make sure his pupils reach their full potential. He puts so much thought and care into every session and tailors his approach to suit each child’s needs and strengths. What really sets him apart is the effort he makes to create engaging activities and events that give children opportunities well beyond standard tutoring. These experiences support not only academic progress but also creativity, confidence, and wider personal development.

It is clear that Chris genuinely cares about his students and their success. We have seen such positive growth thanks to his commitment, encouragement, and inspiring teaching style. GLA Tutors are incredibly lucky to have him, and families considering tutoring would be in very safe hands here.

My son's creative writing and reading comprehension improved dramatically. He managed to get through Sutton 11 plus exams successfully even though he started preparing for the exams late.

I’d like to update my review to share that our daughter has now passed both stages of the 11+ Sutton Test successfully! We’re beyond proud of her hard work and dedication, but we know this incredible result wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support, guidance, and encouragement from GLA Tutors. They kept her motivated, confident, and well-prepared every step of the way. We’re forever grateful for everything they’ve done to help her reach this milestone!

GLA Tutors continue to play a formative role in our daughter's education and development. Chris and Alex are absolutely first rate educators and she loves attending both the one to one and group sessions. We've seen huge advances in her learning ever since her tutoring began and the level of care and attention they take in terms of ensuring the classes deliver what she requires is incredible. We're already booked for next year and feel very fortunate that GLA are there.

Chris is a wonderful and kind tutor that has heaps of patience, tricks tips and tools to help my child with his English. His lessons are engaging and my son always works incredibly hard with him (although it is a different story with me!) He explains what resources he is using and scaffolds the learning with interesting ideas that engages my son well. I highly recommend GLA tutors to anyone looking for additional support.

Great tutors, friendly service and excellent communication

Chris Daniels is a highly accomplished teacher who knows how to get the best learning response from each child. My daughter struggles to learn in class, so he has individualised his teaching method just for her. He knows the school curriculum inside out so can easily spot where students need extra help. He is kind and approachable and she looks forward to her lessons with him. Very highly recommended.

We've had a few different tutors and Chris is by far the best - very clear learning objectives, tracked progress, achievable homework and most of all my daughter looks forward to the lessons!

Feeling helpless and having no one to turn to when being so close to your reaching your desired career is something I’d never wish upon anyone. It was my last teaching placement and I started to see signs of my unsupportive mentors. Chris heard my cry for help and instantly took the time to get me on track and support me regardless of how many hours or days he scheduled to support me! His amazing mentoring approach not only helped me create engaging, inclusive lesson plans meeting all diverse needs for my pupils but shaped me to teach confidently when I was constantly being knocked down in placement by my teacher mentor who came across as overly negative. Chris fought for me to keep going into profession no matter what my teacher mentor had to throw at me. Pushing me from day to day to give me confidence which I didn’t know I had and his preparation helped me to smash my teacher observations enabling me to meet all the teacher standards, again because of Chris! He did the job that my teacher and uni mentor should of done to support me, I still think it would be amazing if he was a mentor for trainee teachers as there would be less teacher anxiety with his well structured guided approach! With his endless creative, engaging resources and tips on lesson planning/deliverance I guarantee you will stand out amongst any other teacher like I did on my placement! His work and dedication to educate me and having a emphatic mentoring approach guided me to the point of receiving so many positives and recognition in my teaching practice. He is a mentor which I think anybody on my teacher course or anyone needing career advice to make it in life as well as a successful teacher!! There are lots of trainee teachers who are voiceless and being forced to put up with unsupportive mentors who plan to give up on you or give false hope in my case, Chris is the blessing you need to make it through!!

I used GLA tutors to help me with my written English for my coursework. I took the English for academic purposes course. They were so good at explaining grammar rules that I needed to enhance my writing style.

I feel so much more confident expressing myself in writing. I highly recommend them!
