Dymo Connect has got to be the worst software I've ever used. I don't know what they were thinking with this garbage but the V-8 software absolutely smacks, and this Connect junk is the worst. I can't... See more

Do your research, scalping customers has come to Dymo

Do your research
DO NOT BUY A DYMO PRINTER
making the old printers and consumables obsolete and then your are forced to use their massively overpriced labels.
any company that does this does not deserve to be in business, horrible business practice designed to scalp their customers.
I wish I could just return this printer as I would not want to pass it onto some other person,

DO NOT BUY A DYMO PRINTER!!

For your own sanity don't buy DYMO

For your own sanity don't buy DYMO. I lost days of my life trying to get their 550 to work over the last year. It won't recognise the labels that came in the box. I ended up smashing the thing out of frustration. Their product is not fit for purpose. I suspect they know it. Their customer service just acted ignorant.

EVIL COMPANY

EVIL COMPANY

You are resticted to use their labels, even if you buy the same exact model but white label they will block it, its a joke, and whichever evil marketing person thought it was a good idea should be fired, although I bought this I refuse to fall into such evil practices.

Kind regards,

Don’t waste your money!

I paid over $600 got the top of line XTL500 and it has never printed a quality label. I put it aside initially then got around to buying a new, fresh set of labels. Same problem. Called the Dymo Customer Service number because no one replied to any of my emails. Finally spoke to someone named Kamil. Worthless. Clearly I was talking to a group of incapable/nontechnical knuckleheads reading from a script in barely discernible English. Get this - he said oh that model has been discontinued due to a design flaw. But we can assist you by giving you 20% a new printer. So spend over $1,000 with us and we will try to provide a printer that actually works. These calls have been taking place for over a month. I wouldn’t spend $1 on another Dymo product. They have really lost their way. I thought I needed to upgrade my Brother label maker with the XTL. It works flawlessly and it’s over 11 years old. Dymo reminds me of Kodak - another example of corporate arrogance leading to its demise.

Icing on the cake is that Dymo rejected posting this review on their website. What does that tell you?

Absolutely USELESS

Want a shipping label printer? Use any other brand or company

These guys were great back when I was shipping 200 orders a day, but since the business is growing, we are trying to ship 4k orders a day, and the point of friction is ALWAYS DYMO

The labels that are branded, don't work
The printers they recommend we buy, don't work
With the errors and mistakes these printers make, it is more cost-efficient to print off printing paper, cut the labels out, and tape them.

They pretend like they have a customer service call center, but they are absolutely useless.
They make you wait on hold for 30+ minutes EVERY TIME I CALL, and then after they read the troubleshooting steps off of Google that my team has already tried, they just sigh and then hang up the call. They don't even have the decency to pretend to care about your issues.

Hands down the worst staff, support, and labels. They don't even sell their own labels, they tell you to buy them from private sellers off of Amazon.

This is terrible

Avoid at all costs.…

Avoid at all costs.…
We have had this wireless label writer for some time now and when it works it is fine. Unfortunately getting it to work is an absolute nightmare. It is virtually impossible to connect it to the WiFi. If you do manage to get it connected it takes forever to sort out the print size and the labels. It is far too complicated an affair for what it does. Definitely avoid like the plague

I agree with all of the other negative…

I agree with all of the other negative reviews of Dymo. The very obvious and the most annoying rip-off in my opinion is that when I shut down the software, it always checks off a label to print next time I open the program, that I don't want It just automatically sets to print a label I don't want, the next time I use the software. It's a total waste of expensive labels.

Worst Dymo printer to date

Purchased a Dymo Wireless LabelWriter printer and the WiFi kept dropping out so I decided to connect it via cable. Then when I tried to print something, it label fed in reverse for a split second, then stopped with an error message.
Using genuine Dymo labels, tried deleting printer and reinstalling it, tried wifi and cable, tried other sized labels, tried several variations several times with the same outcome each time. This thing is a piece of crap.

Avoid Dymo at all costs

I bought an old fashioned embossing label printer. It is so badly designed and fails to clearly print the labels. Takes forever as you constantly getting misprints and the finished article looks really poor due to the awful print quality. It seems unbelievable that a company should sell such a rubbish product.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. My DYMO 4XL just stopped working one day and won't turn on. I have contacted support multiple times and only have received advice to try to restart it by connecting it to a computer and pressing a button 20 times. I don't know who this has ever helped but it did not fix my issue. I need it returned and repaired as it is under warranty but no one responds after I share that the restart technique did not solve my issue or at best another rep just tells me to do that all over again as if they didn't in the previous response. At this point, I just want to throw away the printer and buy a new one but these bloody printers are so expensive, I don't have the heart to throw away the money I have invested into this stupid machine! NEVER will I buy a DYMO product again, and I will be warning anyone I know that is in the market and considering purchasing with this company. I cannot express how frustrating this has been..... $300+ CAD down the tube!!!!!!! If you're going to charge your customers that much, you better have good customer service when they randomly crap out not even after one year of use.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. They send a faulty product then they want me to spend hours troubleshooting it for them. After spending more time downloading all the updated software, it still doesn't work and they don't seem to have any willingness to take the product back.

Just like most of the other complaints…

Just like most of the other complaints I have seen online now. The machine does not recognize its own label cartridges. Plus it has ruined brand-new cartridges at a cost of say $50 to $85 per cartridge. I am now returning my 4th XL500 model. I honestly hope it is my fault for keeping the cartridges and printer in the back of my service truck. I am hoping the issue is it just seeing constant vibration all the time. I only use the machine 2 to 3 times per year and it stays broken. I can only assume it is partly my fault because no way anyone could make a machine that breaks down this much and stay in business if my experience is that of most other users.
