1-Star Review

1-Star Review: Terrible communication, broken promises, and zero professionalism
Do not use this company—avoid them at all costs!
We contacted them on a Friday to repair a large cracked window. They optimistically promised a 3-day turnaround, but from that point on, it was an absolute nightmare of poor communication and broken commitments.
* Misleading timelines: We heard nothing on Monday. When my husband chased them, they demanded 100% upfront payment, completely ignoring the standard 50% deposit norm.
* Ghosted on installation day: After resetting the timeframe to 4 days, the installation day arrived—no one called, no one showed up, and the job was never done.
* Endless excuses: When my husband chased them again days later, we got generic excuses about material delays. Later, the contact went on annual leave, promised to call at 10:00 AM the next day, and completely ghosted us again.
* Abysmal customer service: Three weeks later, they suddenly messaged saying the window was ready and aggressively pushed for installation. By then, we had zero trust in their ability to complete the job professionally.
When I called to express my frustration, all they offered was a insultingly low £50 discount on the remaining balance. I refused to let them touch my property, cut my losses, and hired a proper professional instead. Absolute scammers.
I give zero if I could but 1 star is the lowest

Cowboys calling themselves window fixers

Two guys (fixer and assistant) came to fix a big and a small window. Both were stuck and didn´t open or close.
They came the day after I called, no problem with time. While they were working I had a gut feeling that he was not doing things right by the way he was hammering the window. I asked a couple of questions about the way he was working, but all I got was "I have been doing this for 30 years". So, I had to trust that he knew what he was doing.
When they fixed the windows, I opened and closed the big one to check it, and although it did open and close, the way the big window tilted was not right. I told them and the man said it was they way it was because it was an old window. I even found a screw on the window sill and asked about it saying they had missed a screw from the hinge. They said the screw was not from the window and it was there before, which of course was not true. They decided to take the screw with them.
As I saw that the big window was opening and closing, even if not totally right, I let it be as I did not want to argue. Two days later the window broke again.
This man (he said his name was Darren) had quoted us £185GBP per window, but when they left he requested another £74 claiming they had used part of a second hour. He had never mentioned the possibility of an overcharge beforehand. Again, I made a comment about it but the guy insisted I had to pay that amount. I did.
Two days later the big window stopped working. I called him to ask him to come back and check it, I left him several messages and he has never called back or bothered to answer to any of my messages. All I got at one point was "I will book you in". I finally got a few messages exchanged on which he said he has to book me in, he is not in the area, he is on annual leave... But when i first called them they gave me a slot the very next day, so of course he is now stalling us.
This was three weeks ago and he has never bothered to call back and of course he never had any intention of doing it. My small window broke 10 days after he "fixed" it. Both my windows are broken now. We are in the same situation as before, but now without money.

He knew from the very first moment that his "repairs" would not endure. This is a man boasting that he has been 30 years repairing windows. Well... if all he fixes is like this, then he has been a fraud for 30 years. Someone who takes credit and money for his job should do the job properly in the first place. Or otherwise, be humble enough to say this fixing is out of reach.

One more thing is that I asked this man to send me a receipt with a breakdowm of costs of the money paid, but again, he has never done it and he is not going to.
The name of the company is glazier-london.co.uk, but the money was paid to UK Glaziers, so slightly different name to that on the webpage. Neither of them appear with such names in companies house.

Terrible - Avoid at all costs!!!

Terrible! He was very pushy to pay a 50% deposit up front. After payment took ages to confirm he will come. Took 7 days working days from home in total for him to cancel for various reasons including ‘too cold’, ‘raining’, ‘illness’, ‘family emergency’, ‘van broke down’ etc. terrible service, often not even a message to say they won’t be coming until the next day. Took over 3 months and lots of threats until they eventually did turn up and did a very average job in a few hours. Also then had the cheek to refuse to leave until payment was sent! Avoid at all costs!!

AVOID

The guy didn't turn up three times. Failed to fix the door in one visit and our door is yet to be fixed. Asked for a proof of payment several times. He said he would issue but he went back on his word every time. He is proposing to deduct an amount for a material used which he is refusing to show proof for. AVOID!
