Everything about my GIVE trip greatly exceeded all of my expectations!! During my short, 10-day trip to Krabi, Thailand I was able to gather so much information and insight about the world around me while also learning how to leave a positive, lasting impact through responsible travel. The people that I met, including all of the wonderful guides, SCUBA instructors, locals, and my fellow volunteers all played the most important part in having made my experience with GIVE as life-changing as it was and I am so grateful to each and every one of them! The things that I experienced and saw during my SCUBA trip in Thailand, whether that be the beauty of the people in the community and how they love each other and their environment OR the not-so-beautiful trash floating in the ocean, piled up on the beaches, and buried in the sand nearly everywhere, completely altered my view of the world and my relationship with it. I can confidently say that I want nothing more than to be a better person and a better human after my trip and GIVE has given me the knowledge and the confidence to believe that I can accomplish that, and whatever else I set my mind to! I could write a novel full of my gratitude towards this organization!! Thank you GIVE 💚

I highly recommend traveling through give volunteers. It was an experience of a lifetime and I’m looking forward to another trip with them. This is a legit program and they are very knowledgeable. I had a lot of questions through the whole process and someone was there to answer them all in a timely manner. There is a great balance of fun, work, and learning. I met so many new friends that I can count on even after the trip ended. The Tanzania program specifically was wonderful the community there is inspiring. The guides are amazing people who are there for you, very supportive, and really made the trip one to remember. If you are reading this because you’re undecided and need a sign, take this as your sign to book the Tanzania trip!

Volunteering in Thailand was the best experience of a lifetime. I got to meet so many amazing individuals including local guides, fellow volunteers, and the overall community in Mueang Khong. Traveling with Give has been the best. I am able to travel in a safe and sustainable way. I get to be involved within the community. Give directly asks the community what they need help with. We get to directly interact and learn from those around us. In Thailand I learned to live in the moment and take in each experience!

I LOVE GIVE!!! I recently traveled to Tanzania/Zanzibar with GIVE, and it was the most incredible experience of my life. I met soooo many amazing people, including local guides and an entire group of new best friends. This trip was JAM PACKED with so many amazing and ethical activities such as swimming with wild dolphins, a two-day African safari, and Swahili classes!! Additionally, I was inspired by students who were genuinely eager to learn English, and I was able to see the impact I made firsthand. Just knowing that this organization does its part to support the right people (locals) is something that makes me SO proud to be a part of.

Life changing

This trip was so well organised with the perfect balance of work and play. The guides were such amazing and inspiring people and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Can’t wait to see what it’s like to go on more trips with give and work closely with them. I went on the trip to Zanzibar and it was amazing to see the different cultures and learn about them fully, and being fully welcomed by the locals. They were grateful for us but I was equally grateful to have met them and receive so much love from all of them.

Give Volunteers is an incredible organization that focuses on empowering local communities and creating global citizens. The trips are truly life-changing and fuel a passion in the volunteers who build deep connections. My trip to Costa Rica was amazing, I got to experience a beautiful country full of beautiful people who welcomed us into their community, and despite language barriers, got to experience connections that transcend the borders of countries. On my trip, we worked on farm work, planting trees at local schools, working with kids, supporting local businesses, workers, and organizations, and more. This trip has given me friendships that will last a lifetime and a fire to continue my journey as a global citizen and always give back! :)

After having traveled with GIVE to Tanzania, Thailand, and Laos, I can truthfully say that my life has been changed! I highly recommend these trips to anyone who is considering volunteering abroad. GIVE does an amazing job at planning so many activities that teach you along the way. It is great to see how the money you pay for these trips goes directly to the communities GIVE serves. I have never once had an issue on any trip whether it be with safety, food, or overall comfortability. The best part about GIVE to me is that they will push you outside of your comfort zone. Although it might seem scary, these trips teach you a lot about yourself and the world around you.

It's truly hard to put into words how incredible my experience with GIVE was. From day 1 we were all welcomed into the vibrant culture of Tanzania with open arms. I fell in love with teaching each and every student. Seeing their level of hard work and dedication was truly inspiring. Days working on construction were so rewarding and the guides did a fabulous job of keeping group energy up with so much dancing and fun! Of course aside from the volunteer projects there was so much adventure involved, swimming with dolphins and the safari felt so surreal. It can definitely be intimidating to take the leap but it is 100% worth it. This was my second trip with GIVE and I would do it all again in a heartbeat!

After going to Hawaii, Thailand, and Elephants, I highly recommend GIVE to anyone who wants to grow personally, open their minds, experience community, see the world, and fill their spirit <3. All of the trips have been extremely well-organized with wonderful, sweet, amazing guides that I have learned so much from. It’s so cool to actually be able to see how the money you pay for your trip genuinely impacts the local communities. It’s important that GIVE does establish longstanding relationship with communities so that the empowerment is sustainable. I will admit that maybe it’s scary or uncomfortable at first, but it’s so so worth it to open yourself up to new things, people and experiences. Every day is an adventure that is truly heartwarming.

I cannot say enough great things about this Nicaragua trip in Winter 2023-24. The way it was organized, the amount of insanely amazing things we did, our amazing guides that absolutely cared for us every step of the way, just everything was incredible. Just some of the top tier life experiences were climbing an active volcano to see a gorgeous sunset view, sand boarding down a volcano, surfing, mangrove planting, a baby sea turtle release, incredibly fun dance parties, and that's just scratching the surface of all the fun things we did. You will meet so many people that you will get extremely close with over your time on the trip. Additionally, I felt totally in good hands with my guides Mike, Kerri, Megan, and Moises that made sure we were supervised, fed 3 great meals a day, and always checked up on us. If you are on the fence about going on a GIVE trip, I 100% suggest you go because it WILL change your life and it WILL be one of the greatest memories of your entire life.

My GIVE trip to Hawai’i was unforgettable. I loved getting to meet new and like-minded people who have the same interests as me. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to volunteer with local nonprofit organizations while also getting to experience a new culture. I am thankful for the opportunity I got to learn about the unique Hawaiian agriculture while also being able to help out at local nonprofit farms. The GIVE guides made sure everyone had what they needed and let us all know what to do to make sure we acted in a respectful manner when introduced to different cultural experiences. 💚

I had the best experience with GIVE! I decided to go with GIVE volunteers for my first trip out of the country without my parents and I am so glad I did. Not only did I get to experience parts of Thailand I would not have been able to otherwise, but I got to do so without ever worrying about where I was staying, how I was going to get there or what I was going to eat. This trip truly changed my life. I got to experience Thai culture and make connections with kids who barely spoke english. The guides were incredible and I was continually surprised at how intentional each and every part of the trip was. I could not recommend this organization more - I am already saving for my next trip! Also, I have gotten to meet more give people as they come to recruit at my school and everyone is just as kind and fun as my guides in Thailand. Love love love Give!!!

This trip was so awesome, it had such an impact on me. I had so much fun and met so many lifelong friends. Everyone on the tip was so much fun and like-minded. When booking the trip I was concerned about safety during the trip and honestly I felt so safe the whole trip, you have rides everywhere and stay in safe accommodations. The people at give answered all of questions and were so helpful when I booked my trip and even before that. This trip was so amazing and everyone at give was so helpful and amazing!

I’ve been on 2 GIVE trips now. I did all of Southeast Asia and 6 months later was back on a plane going to Tanzania. GIVE is the best volunteer travel organization I’ve ever come across and I can’t recommend them enough. I feel 100% safe with them at all times and their staff are some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. The Tanzania trip that I just completed was such an amazing, life changing experience that I will never forget. I taught the Kairo locals English and helped with construction projects to build them a school. The people of Kairo are so inspiring and they ignited a sense of purpose in me. This trip opened my eyes, pushed me out of my comfort zone, and taught me a lot about myself and my capabilities. If you’re thinking about doing a trip with GIVE, don’t hesitate!! Book one now, it’s worth every penny. You will NEVER get an experience like the one you will get with GIVE.

This was by far the best way I’ve ever traveled. The experiences and interactions with locals and guides are something you just won’t experience traveling without GIVE. I truly cannot explain how life changing of a trip this was for me and everyone else in my group, you seriously just have to experience it to understand

It is to hard to put into words how amazing this trip was! The guides who truly cared about each and every one of us, and individually facilitated our own self-growth. The countless amazing activities that were organized for us to enjoy, and fit so perfectly into the trip. I felt that we were truly culturally immersed, and there was a lot of mutual respect between us and the communities we were involved in. It was so easy to know that everything was arranged for us, including the most delicious food! It allowed me to really engage myself in the work and fun that we were doing. Meeting like-minded people from all over the world was such a special and beautiful experience.

I loved how GIVE partnered with locals. This maximized the impact, uniqueness, and authenticity of our time spent. I also really enjoyed the perfect combination of excursions and volunteer work. It felt very balanced throughout the days. This experience has changed the way I go about life.

Thailand with GIVE was a life changing experience for me. I was able to get out of my comfort zone while also meeting like minded people and volunteering for important causes. The small hill tribes and local guides were the kindest people and it was very special getting immersed into their culture and learning their way of life. I made very special connections with the students that we taught and it was amazing to see their hard work and love for learning. Also learning how to be a global citizen and making a positive impact on our earth was special when doing things like working in the permaculture lot. Overall this trip was so special and eye opening and I plan to do more trips with GIVE in the future! I also recommend everyone to go on a trip with GIVE.

My GIVE trip to Tanzania was life-changing, challenging, and inspiring. The guides are knowledgeable and personable. The locals are kind, fun, and so eager to learn AND share. This program does an exceptional job of immersing you in the culture of your destination and teaching valuable lessons, while also incorporating some of the most thrilling adventures. I highly recommend this trip (or any GIVE trip) to anyone who is looking to travel responsibly, expand their horizons, and push themselves out of their comfort zone.
