We had a delivery. It tasted absolutely wonderful but presentation was appalling. They've crammed whole main courses into smallish boxes & of course, by the time it reached us, it had been thrown abo... See more

Was looking forward to eating there.
Not very impressed with the food all our dished were left standing I had mine sent back.
This was at the Portsmouth eatery,
Service was fast to start then was vv slow had to request our bill twice ,
It was a shame as the venue is great .
Delicious food and lovely staff
Had a really lovely meal here last night - the food was delicious and the staff were all really friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. Have already booked to go back soon!
Booked for our wedding anniversary - never again
Booked for our wedding anniversary, but never again. Shrewsbury sat us in the upstairs floor - I had to use my mobile phone torch to be able to read the menu it was so dark! We had - me pork dumplings - my wife veg spring rolls - then me Super-duper butterfly king prawns (3) fried to death in a coating that made it impossible to extract any prawn flesh - with a tiny portion of noodles soked on soy sauce (£22) - my wife, cashew nuts stir fry and a plastic bag full of boiling hot rice - One pint of Cobra (£8) and a tiny bottle of 7up (£4) - food was at best average - the bill was £75 with the no-choice imposed service fee of £7 added. Honestly, the whole experience felt like a really well calculated rip-off. I will never visit Giggling Squid again.
It’s a definite no from me
It’s a definite no from me.
This was the second attempt at Thai tapas. Take away.
If you could just spend more time on the quality and flavours of your food as you do your pretty take away bags it may improve?
Tried 4 small plates, a SHOWSTOPPER and a classic curry and crackers. Every.single.dish was a disappointment. Squid was bland and tasteless. Pork skewers were mixed. At mouthfuls, nice pork but sadly every other mouthful was fat/gristle. Money bags dry and over cooked. The lamb thod was actually flavoursome. Crackers are just odd. SHOWSTOPPER sticky chicken was cold, mushy, floury and again tasteless. At almost 17quid I would expect better quality control and a bigger box. I have no idea how to review the red thai curry? Did the recipe get mixed up with another? No spice, no heat, no lemongrass, no Thai basil flavour, no lime/ kefir plus a weird texture and it was bulked out with some watery potatoes. Was it part massaman, part red curry??? Awful. The sticky rice was lovely though, oh hang on, I’d made this at home. Two strikes for the giggling squid, you’re out. Never again.
My family was served by Chaya
My family was served by Chaya. We found her and the place very welcoming soon entry. We ordered Scrummy Set x 2, sleeping honey, melt in mouth and squid. Any questions asked to Chaya was explained so well. It was the best food and service. We felt very comfortable and ended up trying all dishes. It was so good. We will definitely be going back for more.
Interesting how they are constantly…
Interesting how they are constantly hiring since a year ago, but when someone qualified applies they rejecte him. Now seeing the reviews here and glassdoor I can see why

Nice cool restaurant on a hot day for lunch. Good service and tasty food, perfect for a small family get-together. Restaurant well situated in Horsham town centre.
Delightful thai restaurant
We always visit the restaurant in Beaconsfield. The staff are friendly and helpful. Quality food, can't fault them. They have delicious cocktails too!
I recently visited Giggling Squid and…
I recently visited Giggling Squid and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, with stylish décor and a welcoming feel from the moment you arrive.
The food was fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented. There was a great variety of dishes on the menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. The service was friendly, attentive and efficient throughout our visit.
Overall, Giggling Squid is a great place for a meal with family or friends, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for tasty Thai food in a relaxed setting.
Hugely disappointing experience
I cannot recommend this restaurant. We experienced incredibly poor service, marked by unacceptable delays and multiple order mistakes, with some drinks never even making it to the table. To make matters worse, we had notified the team in advance that we were celebrating a birthday, but it wasn't acknowledged in the slightest, and our table placement was very poor. A major disappointment.
Nice restaurant decor wise.
Nice restaurant decor wise. Whist not busy it was noisy. Probably 16 people in the restaurant Saturday lunchtime.
Staff were lovely and efficient but cost of a simple lunch outrageous. £170 for an unspectacular lunch for 5. Food was spicey as you would expect but not much of it.
My red curry chicken dish was chewy chicken and a few veg in a small tapas style dish. All other dishes were small. The rice was great but very disappointed in the ‘ special ‘ bento box style.
Sadly I will never return or recommend this west Bridgford restaurant to my friends. I do apologise for this review but really disappeared with the food.
Poor value for money
Poor value for money . Nearly £8 for a beer. Ordered a Penang curry... nice sauce but not much chicken.. made up with an excess of peppers.
Too many other better restaurants to want to come here again. I suspect this will close down before too long. Perhsos greedy owners not offering a fair deal to customers ?
Extremely small portion sizes
Delicious but the takeaway portions are so small. Beautiful packaging, lovely staff but the lack of chicken in the dishes was really not acceptable. To spend £75 on a takeaway for 3 and still be hungry is not on. It’s not the first time that this has happened. Won’t be ordering again.
Exception service (and food)
I booked a table at the brighton restaurant with a lady called Danni, coming from a customer service background myself, I was overwhelmed with the ease of booking, no pressure to pre book (for 14 people), no deposit required and a follow up call to confirm the table booking on the morning of the booking.
On arrival we were greeted by the team and nothing was too much, the food and service were exceptional.
This is my third visit to Giggling Squid (Salisbury and Windsor) and I wish your business the very best - definitely book!!!
A really good find in Leeds
On visiting Leeds, we stumbled on Gig/squid and although not familiar with Thai food decided to try.
Ambiance was very pleasant, staff very attentive, food was really good and overall we enjoyed the visit. Even found the toilets to be clean and tidy. Overall a really good find - which was not expected.
I absolutely LOVE this place
I absolutely LOVE this place! Sat outside in tne sunshine in Cambridge and had the most amazing food! The restaurant is beautiful inside and the staff are so lovely! I can't believe they have got bad reviews! Totally recommend! Really great experience
No chicken bar 2 x small slivers
No chicken bar 2 x small slivers, in the take away red thai curry . Lots of undercooked potatoes padding it out. Typical chain exploiting its delivery takeaway customers . Wont be using them again and would suggest no-one else does. There are far better Thai eateries that deserve your custom
Lovely staff and always very helpful at…
Lovely staff and always very helpful at Bury St Edmunds branch. Love the food, eat in the restaurant and regularly also order takeaway. Everyone very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you
Henley branch takeaway
Henley branch takeaway - this is the forth delivery we've had in 2 years that was missing items - not th edrivers fault but the restaurant sending deliveries out. It now costs almost £50 for 2 curries and we got only 1 rice despite having been charged for 2 by Deliveroo!! Also, you are still using the cheap bad tasting beef in your curries, it tastes truly awful. It's not the first complaint. The restaraunt we've always liked, but the delivery side is falling short - low quality for excessive pricing.
