Been running a little VPS between 2012 and 2021 to host websites and be an always on presence.
Reliability can't be faulted. Current uptime is over 400 days interrupted by myself. Support emails are answered quickly.
Finally decommissioned and moved to my own hardware and VMware cluster.
We have had a virtual server with Gigatux for 4 years and have had great reliability as well as always being kept fully informed of any upgrades or other issues concerning our server. Prompt and friendly service - ideal if you're not 100% techie.

GigaTux provided me with more powerful hosting (and thereby higher rankings in Google).
I did have a lot of issues since I started using GigaTux. I had people in Malaysia try to hack my website and I've had a lot of crashes.
But you know what? These things would have happened with ANY host.
The difference here is that GigaTux gave me phenomenal service when I had these issues.
Everytime my website crashes I email them, and get a PERSONAL response within a few hours from the CEO Marc Warne (not just some robot service worker copy-pasting a standard response).
For me, getting personal service is key when you're dealing with tech stuff such as hosting since I'm very bad at dealing with these things, and GigaTux have never failed on this account, so I highly recommend other big website owners to work with them.
The support team have always been very quick in their response to technical queries and issues in general and for this reason I would reccomend them.
Out of the linux distributions they provide I have had the least issues with debian as the update process is smooth from the current supported image (squeeze). For those wishing to run arch linux I would suggest issuing a request for an updated base image (upgrading to the current arch version is difficult from the provided image which is somewhat outdated).
There are lots of other distro options apart from these as well, although I haven't experienced installing them on my GT vps.
