Great selection and friendly people

Great selection and friendly people - Also the Giant brand of Ginger Beer is the best in the world - My only beef would be that our local Giants seems to always be out of Diet Ginger Beer

Worst app ever

Worst app ever! Please make it user friendly. Grocery shopping shouldn’t be this stressful. I’ve complained so many times still no change. I value my mental health so decided to delete my account forever!!!!

CART LOCKS

I was just at Giant in Allentown and was walking along to my car, pushing my cart, and all of a sudden my cart abruptly stopped in front of me. It hurt my hands cause I was walking along at a good speed. I was right in the middle of the road and could not budge the cart. They put a device on the carts now that you can’t go beyond a certain point. I get that they don’t want to go a mile for their carts and they don’t want their carts stolen but that hurt and it was humiliating, not to mention dangerous. This store is going to get sued by someone.

I spent $258.00 at Giant in Crofton and…

I spent $258.00 at Giant in Crofton and among my purchases were 4 “Caulipower” pizzas, giving one to my 15 y/o grandson and took the other 3 home. Sent a text to him last night to just throw his pizza away as we had just made ours and it was THE WORST pizza I’d ever had in my 71 years. He responded that he’d had a buddy over the previous Saturday and threw his away as well as it was “horrible”. I called Wegmans customer service just now and after being transferred to two different departments, was informed they could not refund my money by using my credit card. I will never step foot in another Giant nor will my daughter’s family. Too bad Izzy Cohn isn’t still in charge.

New app not working; customer service rude, does not care

Giant foods custmer service non existent. They installed a new app that is not working but when I called customer service, the rep was very rude & did not care. I explained that their new system does not retain the password & it makes me change it each time I try to go into the app & then I have to fiddle with the system with the new password I have updated the password 8 times in the past hour. This is obviously a glitch in their newly updated system. Since the rep does not care & has no clue, the issue will never get addressed as she was clearly not going to try to address it.i belong to Giant for over 50 years. This is the first time I am really giving pause to ever shopping there again. I use the mobile app constantly as I have a large familv & shop a lot. So Giant joins the countless others that do not care about their customers Giant needs to address their customer service issue. With the new app not working & rude customer service reps, business will decline. Wake up Giant.

SUGAR???

Dear GIANT Foods, there is no need to ADD large sugar crystals to the top of an already really sweet blueberry muffin. It's impossible to remove them. How'd GIANT miss the obesity & diabetes memo?

Please, just STOP. Again, blueberry muffins are already sweet enough!

Deli phone order…

Just wanted to take a minute to recognize Deonte Savoy and Avarion Jones. They work in the deli department at the Giant Foods Bay Ridge Annapolis Maryland location. These two gentlemen were gracious enough to prepare lunch meat and a few deli items for me over the phone. I cannot tell you how much time this saved me to not have to wait in line with the busy appointment schedule I keep. They were courteous, helpful, welcoming and provided service with a smile! Thanks ever so much for the outstanding customer service. Please take a few minutes to recognize these two gentlemen, give them a raise and use my experience with them as an example on how to lead all of your teams. Not only will I be recommending them on a regular basis, shopping at your store on a regularly, but also sharing my experience with others… We have more than 3000 clients, a large family, many friends and colleagues. I shopped at your store on November 18

I shopped at your store on November 18, 2022 to purchase some groceries and add extra money on the total as I needed money to travel with the next day. My check was accepted and cleared through your register with no problem. Upon my return to Maryland my husband received a collection notice from TSW that your store does business with and said our check had not cleared for insufficient funds. I went to Giant to talk to a manager and was told to talk to an assistant manager who listened to my story and at the end of the story told me she did not know how to take care of the problem I should come back and talk to the bookkeeper the next day. I talked to your bookkeeper I believe her name was Karen who said I should contact our bank as it was my problem that my bank had not accepted the check. She told me it would have to be taken care of - - I tried to tell her there was more than enough money in the account and someone in your organization had made the mistake. She did not choose to believe me and made me feel like it my problem and when I paid you your money it would be all better.

Illinois at the moment taking care of an elderly relative received a collection notice from TSR that your store does business with. They advised us that our check had not cleared for insufficient funds and they had represented the check to our bank and it had gone through. I went back to Giant and was told to speak to one of your assistant managers who told me at the end of my story that she had no idea how to take care of the problem and I should come back the next day and talk to your bookkeeper. I called I believe her name was Karen the next day to be told I would have to take it up with my bank as they are the ones who denied the check and take care of the situation. I tried to tell your bookkeeper and assistant manager that the mistake was not our bank but SOMEONE in your organization as our checking account has more than $50,000.00 in it.

We received a notice telling us the check had been presented for payment and this time it went through. Now we only had to pay the $35.00 penalty for writing a bad check and this company TRS took the money from our checking account without any authorization from me or my husband. The check that came through our account t said it was $35.00 payable to Giant. So now you had $35.00 more our of our money plus the amount of the check.

I took the papers from your collection agency and talked to our bank multiple time at the end of January and our bank manager saw where when the check was presented for payment your bank, The US Bank keyed in the wrong account and the account that the US Bank keyed did not have enough money to pay the check. I then took all of our papers back to your Giant and talked to the manager who looked at everything and saw where your bank US Bank had made the mistake and not us. She did refund my $35.00 that had been snatched out of our account illegally by your company you do business with.

I doubt that you will choose to do anything about this mess, but US Bank should be made aware of the problem they caused by their careless practices and told they could buy my groceries for my family since I spent one whole morning trying to figure out why we had this happen to us. I certainly got NO help from your store - - collection agency - - or bank since we do not know where a US bank is here in Maryland. Your store and collection agency only made me feel bad about a check bouncing and I should take better care of my business. I do not have any nice thoughts about your new store and certainly not the people that work for you since their first thought they make you feel is we are dead beats and trying to get out of paying our bills.

The computers must be stuck in…

The computers must be stuck in reporting shoplifter mode or something. When you check out it charges your card 3 times. Won't notice it until after checkout and by then you'll be charged 3 times for your 1 frozen pizza.

Lazy cashier. Cashier’s name was Onardia, she didn’t want to help anyone put groceries in bag. All other cashiers were helping their customers pack their groceries when checking out.

A disaster

A disaster! Driver refused to deliver the order to the house. Driver left without delivering the order. A call to Customer Service where I was greeted with big time attitude. I demanded to speak with a manager, twice. On hold both times for 30 minutes. Manager refused to come to the phone. After this humiliating experience, I told the operator that if my order was not delivered by 10am Friday, 1/6/23, I was going to call my bank and have the entire charge reversed; to which she responded, "Go ahead and you have a great evening," in her sarcastic nasty attitude.
You know, after 10+ years of being a customer, you aren't the only food delivery in town. So, with that said, I've contacted my bank and all is squared away. Perhaps, you might want to revisit your customer experience personnel. They truly are horrible. Unfortunately, you lost me as a Giant customer.

I just moved here from Colorado and…

I just moved here from Colorado and wish I had my king Sooper chain back- the produce at giant is so bad I drive an extra 20 minutes to wegmans just for that. Then I figure I can still go to giant for things they can’t mess up , like Pepsi. Last week I get a bag of chips and they are stale! How can that be?!?

I had been a customer for almost a year…

I had been a customer for almost a year and had never had any problems with deliveries from Giant Direct online,and I hadn't used them for a few months until I placed a larger order than I had in the past.


Giant Direct never delivered my $700 order their site said delivered so I asked a woman at customer service why is your site saying it was delivered when nobody called me and it wasn't delivered she claimed the driver was on his way and that I'm # 13 and he's at # 10 now and he would be here at 10 PM.

At 10:30 PM I got a call from a woman who said in a not nice way, that the driver can't find my place and that he's at 9803. So I said this has never happened before, and she said it's a new driver, they have different drivers all the time. I told her to tell him that my building is the A side of the 98** building across from the car dealership, so she said what I said.

I thought that he must have delivered my large order to the wrong address, probably 9803 Many blocks away! But a customer service agent told me he didn't deliver my order at all and the site was saying this because of a technical issue.

I used my debit card for a few things too, I got some on sale with online coupons. I'm hungry I didn't eat anything tonight because I was going to eat some of the food delivered. I also gave the delivery driver an online tip of $20 as I always do with large orders and I payed about $5 for the delivery charge strangely so far I don't have any email from the billing department and they usually send me emails soon after my order with the billing charges.

I have written instructions on my account for the delivery driver to always call me 5 minutes before they arrive so I can put a bag between the outside building so they can come inside because the intercoms have been broken for years and my apartment manger and maintenance refuses to fix it.

I deserve and want my money back their Giant Direct site then somewhat later also claims in the section of their site that lets you know that your order has been prepared,packed,on it's way, that my order was delivered at 10:16 PM I even went Downstairs at 11:30 pm and Looked Outside The Front and back doors but there was nothing there!

They gave me a refund after I called and complained, I had sent emails the first night ( I did again after this just happened again) this happened on December 14,2022 to people in top positions to contact but so far they never replied. I told a customer service agent that I was afraid this would happen again,and unbelievably it did the very next night with a different delivery driver!


It was 10:30 PM I had Been waiting for my delivery but nobody called me but their site once again like the night before falsely claimed my order was delivered at 10:10 PM! Just like the night before, I checked off and on to see how close the driver was to delivering my order,and once again it said my items were packaged and prepared, then later that it was on it's way,and it said around 10 PM that the driver was 4 stops away from me and said it was going to be delivered at 10 PM.

I didn't order any lettuce because I expected them to deliver my order this next night even more so after I complained about what they did the first night. And I didn't eat anything or defrost anything to cook again either and I was hungry again.

I deserve and demand another refund, and after this I want to cancel my account and never do any business with them again.They also didn't substitute several items even though some were available and I had allow substitutions set to on,on my account and the order the second night that never arrived just like the first night last minute said online that they were out of stock of several items that they could have substituted like deli low salt chicken,and cherry tomatoes.


When I called and said to the customer service agent,they aren't giving me any tomatoes are they and she said no, and said she doesn't understand why they didn't substitute when there are a lot of other tomatoes and I said I can't afford to keep paying for new delivery charges,and she said she would give me credit for a free delivery for another order.

I had to order deli chicken and tomatoes from another online store and pay a $5 service fee and a $ 10 tip,but I didn't order any lettuce or bread for the deli chicken that night because I expected Giant to deliver my order and not do again what they did the night before!

Since then I have had several nice helpful delivery guys I really hope it stays this way and I gave them the $20 tip I always do.

Delivery man Jose what did you do with my food?

I placed an order on 11/22/22 at Giant for delivery and the driver Jose stated he delivered my food which is a lie. What Jose did not know was that my doorbell has a camera on it to record any motion activity and alert my son and my cell. So what did Jose really do with my food because he never brought my food or knocked on my door or called me? Again, if he came to my door he would have been recorded. So Jose what did you do with my food?

No cashiers for early morning shoppers

Terrible cashier service for early morning shoppers: 6 to 7 a.m. Frequently, the assigned cashier doesn't show up. And self-checkout isn't appropriate for everyone, or for all items, such as bottled water, or other large items, or many items.
