I've had good success with Luna. I was able to get my appointments started right after my knee replacement and really appreciate being able to do in home PT. My therapist is very knowledgeable and has taught me what to lookout for and do to be able to have a good outcome to my knee replacement.

This isn't a review of the physical therapist who worked with me (he was excellent), but rather a complaint about Luna's billing practices. Last July, I suffered lateral ankle fractures in both ankles. Once I was able, my doctor wrote a prescription for physical therapy. Shortly after, I received a call from Luna to schedule at-home visits. The representative I spoke with said they had confirmed with my insurance company that each visit would cost between $0 and $50. Based on that information, I agreed to proceed, and everything went smoothly until two weeks ago, when my credit card was charged over $400. Then, today, I received a bill for an additional $700. I strongly advise anyone considering this service to double- and triple-check both with Luna and their insurance provider about the actual costs before agreeing to schedule any appointments. It's hard to focus on healing when I'm overwhelmed by unexpected financial stress.

My therapist is extremely successful with motivating me to strengthen the muscles surrounding my injury because afterwards rehabilitation and recuperation is quite soothing. Thank you, Luna Physical Therapy, for my wonderful and therapeutic journey to recovery.

Perhaps Luna is okay for minor injuries or surgical procedures however, they are totally unprepared and unequipped for major surgery physical therapy.
I had a total knee replacement, and the therapist was not equipped with even the basic PT equipment such as step platforms, non-slip pads, folding chairs, foam rollers, etc.
The therapy provided for joint replacement was both ineffective and rather dangerous without proper equipment.
Case in point, the therapist used a resistance band that was sized wrong and with no padding and I still have an indentation near my ankle from the resistance band digging into my skin after two weeks. That is downright incompetence and malpractice.
My response to Luna’s reply…. It wasn’t a multitude of sessions at all, and I stopped immediately with my surgeon’s permission after your therapist injured my ankle. Also, be careful with what you reveal about my sessions as you are venturing into a public HIPAA violation.

Never got around to finding my a physical therapist. Very disappointed. They said they would help me. By the way, i waited for 3 months. These people dont understand, when you need physical therapy, you need it now!

I have very recently started therapy with Luna l have been assigned Ms Emily a professional therapist. I feel hopeful that I will regain my mobility and improve my posture under her care. She's compassionate patient and very knowledgeable and I'm grateful.

Recently, I wrote a review about this company and about the person who treated my injured shoulder. I posted the review, but it disappeared. I assume that I pressed the wrong computer key which caused my review not to post. As I recall everything I wrote in my initial review, I will summarize it below.
The therapist assigned to me is excellent and is quite knowledgeable about his field. He is pleasant and does not try to push me to do exercises that would be too painful for my injured shoulder.
My shoulder was diagnosed with a tendon tear after an MRI. The tendon tear is a result of my overworking my shoulder while using an exercise machine.
The therapist's knowledge, skills, and patience make him highly recommended.

When a customer is not interested stop calling them! You keep calling me everyday. I am not interested in your service and I don't want to deal with you. You're giving yourself the worst reputation possible by harassing people. You make the used car salesman sound like Red Cross volunteers!

Luna has been worse than a nightmare. With a nightmare, you wake up and it's over. With Luna, you wake up and their incompetence is still there.
I had knee replacement surgery August 12. Because physical therapy is an essential part of recovery, I contacted Luna 3 weeks in advance to get scheduled for PT on August 14.
The therapist did not show up. She claimed she arrived and couldn't get in, so I was charged $90 for a late cancellation and was closed as a client.
After a dozen or so phone calls, Iwas re-opened as a client, although they never found another therapist to work with me. It turned out that the therapist lied and never showed up at all. I was assured that the charge for a late cancellation would be removed.
Then I got an email today billing me $90 for the late cancellation.
I was able to get this resolved, but Luna clearly lacks integrity. It has been the worst experience I have ever had with a healthcare provider.
Fortunately, I am connected with another PT provider.

If I could, I would give them 0 stars. I called to set up both of my 92 year old parents on July 28th, 2024 with Luna, and to this date, Sept 10, 2024, I have heard absolutely nothing back from any therapist to schedule appointments for them. I called today to cancel any services with them, and have gone a different route. Terrible company!!!!!

I am 78 years old and have PT through Luna now, about one year after a hip replacement. Upon starting, I was still unable to walk or move about freely, and felt quite defeated. While there is much I still need to accomplish, after twice a week, for 1.5+ month, I am able to exercise, move in new ways, and walk outside in the beautiful sun without close attendance. This is entirely because my Luna PT, Megan Lee, PhD, has worked with me so competently. With a direct and analytical manner, she has inspired me to gain more and more strength. She is a godsend to me and a perfect match for my personality. I feel very blessed to have her, and am thankful to Luna for sending her to me.

My wife needed to change from outpatient PT to home PT. Luna was recommended. We contacted them and filled out the necessary paperwork. An appointment was scheduled for the following Tuesday. It was cancelled by them and rescheduled for Monday. It was cancelled by them and scheduled for Wednesday. I received a text on Tuesday confirming the Wednesday 5 PM visit from an experienced therapist. The therapist never showed, never messaged, never called. I called Luna , yesterday, Wednesday August 7, they had no idea why the therapist never showed or messaged. This morning I get a call from LUNA apologizing. I told them if they could guarantee a therapist today fine. They couldn't , I told them to remove my wife as a patient. Totally unreliable and dysfunctional company. Thomas Blanck, MD, PhD
Luna responded to my review and promised reliable service in the future. Thank you, Luna.

My therapist comes to my home twice a week and is working on problems others don't.
I had in-home visits by a very knowledgeable physical therapist. For knee replacement therapy, he would start out with leg bends and end with exercises to strengthen the muscles. Very kind and pleasant personality.

I have nothing but good things to say about Andy, my therapist. I had a broken right shoulder and needed therapy after surgery & rehab. All appointments were kept on time. Andy was always polite but firm on what I needed to do to get my range of motion back. So far my progress has been very good and I am very happy about that. Since I can’t drive yet and I live alone, I greatly appreciate having the therapy come to me!!!!

I am scheduled for a knee replacement and my surgeon wanted me to use Luna. They have PT appointments at 5 or 7PM. And worse, the surgery on a Monday and there aren’t any openings until We’d, Thurs or Fri. I thought PT was supposed to start sooner than that!
I think I’ll forego Luna and have my wife drive me one mile to a local Physical Therapy.
