Avoid – misleading and unacceptable service
I had a very disappointing experience with GetItFixed Ltd.
I sent my laptop for repair, and from the beginning the service was misleading. I was quoted one price, but then charged significantly more just for inspection. Communication has been poor and inconsistent throughout.
The most concerning part is that I have still not received my laptop back. The company claimed that the device was dispatched via Royal Mail, however the tracking clearly shows that the parcel has not been handed over to the courier. This strongly suggests that the item has not actually been sent.
I have contacted them multiple times but have not received a clear or honest response. At this point, I feel like I am being ignored and misled.
I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their services.
If this is not resolved immediately, I will be escalating this matter further through Trading Standards and legal action.
Very disappointing experience.
Extremely concerning experience – avoid this company
My experience with GetItFixed Ltd has been extremely concerning and stressful.
I sent my laptop for repair and was initially quoted a price, only to be charged significantly more just for inspection. This already raised serious concerns about transparency and honesty.
The situation then escalated further. I was informed that my laptop had been dispatched via Royal Mail, however the tracking shows that the parcel has NOT been handed over to the courier. In other words, despite their claims, the item has not actually been sent.
I have contacted the company multiple times and have not received a clear explanation. Instead, I am being ignored or given vague responses.
At this stage, I have serious concerns about how this business operates. Holding a customer’s property while falsely claiming it has been shipped is completely unacceptable.
I am now in the process of escalating this matter to Trading Standards and will be pursuing legal action if necessary.
I strongly urge anyone considering using this company to think twice. Based on my experience, I would not trust them with any device.
Avoid at all costs.
Fantastic Service
GetItFixed were great when I sent them my Linn Classik amplifier, they made it super easy to send my equipment to them, kept me updated on the progress, and got it all done very quickly! Would highly recommend!
Still out there scamming
Still out there scamming. They sentmy Bose cd/radio player back un working. Promised to ‘fix it ‘under warranty.Sent it back and basically they tried to blackmail me into taking my 1 star trust pilot review down.I said I would when item returned in working order. No joy so I am resigned to never seeing my property again as these people realise they can’t squeeze anymore money out of me. We live and learn the hard way.
Great work done thank you
I give them 4 and a half stars!! The battery had swollen on my Fiio M11 plus after 3 years and I had real problems getting a battery replaced. By chance I came across Get It Fixed and decided to take a chance after 4 weeks they had replaced and returned my player and everything was done in a very professional manner. I was so please with it it was like my Birthday! Thank you get it fixed. Just one thing I took half a star off because communication by phone is non existent and being a new customer with so many mixed reviews online I was a bit worried but I'm glad I took the chance !! Thanks guys I could kiss you all!! 🤣
Possible scam company ?
Do not be misled by the reviews for this company. I sent the requested amount for repairs to be carried out, to then be told a repair was uneconomical and that I would receive a refund of about 40% of the amount. No refund has been received, there is no reply to emails, and no reply to telephone calls.
Is this a scam?
I was impressed by the initial info
I was impressed by the initial info, and the ease of booking a repair. Once Get it Fixed received my Bose units, they sent me a sequence of photos showing the unwrapping process, and shortly after a description and cost for the repair. The estimated completion date was 5 - 6 weeks. To my complete surprise, they returned the fixed unit 1 week later. The final result is a Bose Wave unit with CD changer, which behaves exactly as it did on the first day of ownership.
After sitting broken and silent for several years, I now have the famous Bose sound echoing around my room.
Thank You to Get it Fixed.
Mixed experience, overall fair to good.
Good repair of the issues that a 20 year old amplifier didn't work at all and now does. Minor issue with a faulty reassembly of the volume knob which doesn't affect function other than the remote control no longer works, and in my view likely misdiagnosed the volume issue on return (which they didn't charge me for, though they wanted to replace a motor which worked fine before the repair, which I declined) - so good if you want old electronics to work, but not perfect. A mixed experience.
DO NOT USE
I’m currently using it, and I wish I researched it better before. I wanted to use it to fix my Bose QC Ultra headphones, since they had trouble turning on. They told me it was most likely due to a battery problem. Ok, I sent it to them. They sent several emails explaining the process, so I thought they were very responsive and communicative with the customer. THEY’RE NOT. Any phone call or email you send is ignored. I once remember calling them around 14:00 or so, and they turned their phone off. “User busy” when trying to call them, which didn’t happen during the first 3 calls. It means they are aware that people are trying to contact them, and they deliberately choose to IGNORE YOUR CALL. Their policy too is that if you sent it to repair, and they have not received the payment by a certain period, they get to legally keep the item. Time passed, and I was waiting on a response for an email I sent asking and regarding the service. Time passed, and calls ignored. I was forced to pay out £86 or so so they wouldn’t scrap my item. Keep in mind that the original agreed price for the repair was £56, but there are HIDDEN FEES that u need to pay too. They didn’t mention that, and I was only told it would be £56. They paid for the delivery fees so you praise them for it, but you are essentially paying that and more on the HIDDEN FEES that they don’t tell u in their email. Furthermore, they offer express delivery which is optional, but they phrase the emails as if the express was a compulsory thing to pay. They know what they’re doing, but after I get my headphones back (if I am lucky to get it fixed), I recommend no one to use this service. There are better ones out there, and pls to research before using this sht.
Really wished I could leave minus stars…
Really wished I could leave minus stars as they are useless....
Last October I sent my Teac vrds 10se cd player as it wouldn't read cds, paying next day delivery they sent me an email saying they had received it and that it was now in a queue for diagnostics and repair,..ok I thought,2 weeks later I had another email from get it fixed stating that my cd player was now reading cds but the dac board was on its way out and really required a change of capacitors to lengthen the life of the cd player at a charge of £58.00. Ok i thought ..atleast it's a possibility, 3 weeks later I received an email saying that all work had been completed and my cd player was on its way back to me.
After receiving the cd player I excitedly plugged it in, and hey presto !!!! THE CD PLAYER WAS IN EXACTLY THE SAME STATE AS WHEN I FIRST SENT TO G.I.F !! ...reaching out to them via email they told me to send it back ..
I did this then 3 weeks later I received another email saying that my cd player cannot be fixed and that the DAC board needs replacing !! What ? The dac board you apparently recapped ??
So now my cd player is still not reading cds as it was before I first sent to Get it fixed and I'm £ 200 ish out of pocket.
I have since had another repair shop look at the cd player and he has said the capacitors in the dac board are original...so have never been changed.!!!!
DO NOT USE THIS SCAMMING COMPANY..REPORTED TO TRADING STANDARDS ! ( They said i wasn't the first to report this company)
They fixed my ancient but treasured CD player
If you heed some old fixed that everybody else tells you to consign to a skip these are your guys. Absolutely delighted with the service, easy and quick.
Really good job
They did a really good job fixing and rejuvenating my old NAD amplifier. It took a while but I wasn't in a hurry and they kept me updated when parts were on order. Very pleased with the result and all at a reasonable price
Do NOT deal with this Company
Should have researched this company properly. Sent an amp for repair at start of November 2025. Estimate cost £128. Postage paid by myself. Subsequent contact from them on 10th December stating amp beyond economic repair, and the cost has increased to £166. They have stated I am due a refund. I have contacted them by email several times and attempted to phone them on numerous occasions, all to no avail. They do not reply to the emails and no one picks up the phone. Nor is there a facility to leave a message. I am due £106. I have a horrible feeling I won’t be seeing this. Makes me wonder what has actually happened to my amp. Should have delved deeper and found the negative reviews. Would definitely have gone elsewhere. Dreadful way to run a business. Be warned.
Arcam Solo repair
The company was able to source and install a replacement DRB/FM tuner for my Arcam Solo, after Arcam said it could not be repaired. My reason for dropping one star is that the repair took longer than estimated and communication about the delay was inadequate and unreliable.
In spite of the delay, I am delighted to have my Solo back in perfect working order at a reasonable price.
They repaired my CD player well
They repaired my CD player well, but it took longer than I expected
Reliable repair outfit
Reliable repair outfit, delivering a quality job. They fixed a twelve year old discontinued amp which now works fine. A big advantage is the delivery system, courier picks it up and brings it back when ready.
Really excellent service
Really excellent service. They identified and repaired my Denon HiFi System which had been faulty for quite some time - and 3 years later it's working well.
Highly professional repair service
Highly professional repair provided for a much loved B&W speaker. Process from beginning to successful completion was marked by frequent communication updates, with clear explanation on work required and possible enhancements from additional components. Thank you.
Bose Wave Radio Repair
I sent my Bose Wave Radio in because I was not getting any sound while playing FM/AM or CD. Paid the advance fee. Product was returned and still no sound. I sent them a email, tried to call. Nothing. I need help. I may contact Money Claim for assistance.
I just want my 20 year old Bose repaired and in working condition, or they can tell me it is not repairable. HELP.
