As a 50 odd year old baldish fella I’d long got over the trauma I experienced when I first started going thin. I started shaving my head early on, rather than endure the hassle of any sort of strategic 'hair play' or using Regaine or some other such treatment. On the whole I was pretty alright about my head, it wasn’t a bad shape so I looked ok.
I’d never even heard of SMP until last year, when I was at a party of a mutual friend and I met Steve, one of the owners of ‘Get Head Strong’. He was telling me about the business he was in and told me about the process, he’d obviously had the treatment himself, and I thought it looked really good and obviously convincing.

Anyway, I got his number went away and had a think about it. I called Steve and spoke to him further on the phone for a good hour, I asked lots of questions and he answered them honestly, he told me if I wanted to go away and think about it that was fine, but his reassurances really helped me make my mind up, I never felt any pressure or hard sell. He offered to do mockups of how it would look if I sent in some pics but after doing my own research on SMP and watching several video reviews I had a good idea of how it would turn out, so didn’t bother.

My biggest concern really was the transition i.e. going from no hairline to having a hairline, and how the reaction would be when seeing family, friends & colleagues etc., but both Steve and Marcin who did the treatment, said that most people probably wouldn’t even notice. I was told that Marcin was one of the best ‘artists’ in the country having done in excess of 1000 heads, so I felt that I was in good hands.

The process is obviously done over three sessions, after the first session you get a really good idea of what the end result will be, my head was a bit red and tender for a few days but then settled down, after the 2nd session which was a week later it pretty much looked finished, the final session is really to blend in and make sure that there are no gaps/issues.

So after getting it done I met up with a couple of mates who I’ve known for over 30 years, and as predicted neither of them noticed, and I’ve seen them since and they’ve still not said anything. When I did tell another friend, their reaction was “oh I just thought you’d let it grow!”

Anyway to conclude, I can say that I’m very happy with the result, it’s knocked a fair few years off me, I just wish I’d have known about SMP sooner.

As for 'Get Head Strong' Steve is a nice guy who keeps in touch at every stage, and even after the treatment is finished. Marcin is a really engaging guy and a true professional who makes sure the end result is perfect!

I had never heard of SMP till I walked past Get Headstrong, but 'bald is now optional' had me intrigued. I went on the website and the relaxed and fun tone was my type of thing. After booking a consultation I became quite excited. Then Steve.. continuing in same vain as the website, Steve, who has SMP and understood the insecurities around baldness, was great. He was relaxed, talked me through what I could expect, over a coffee, and put absolutely no pressure on my decision. NO sign up today chat, more go home, have a think and get in touch if you decide to proceed. Just what I wanted. Then Marcin.. the 'artist' such a friendly guy, who talked me through every step. 1 issue, he was a bit of a perfectionist 😄 he treated my new hairline like a work of art, continually touching up until we were both happy. And that's where I am today, really happy with everything from Get Headstrong. Couldn't recommend more 👍

I had the best experience at get head strong, couldn’t recommend them enough. I was slightly sceptical about SMP at first and was unsure as to wether it would suit me and trying to find a reputable company when I came across them. They arranged a meeting in there shop after I showed interest and immediately I realised this was the based option for me they showed me how it would look on a photo and explained very clearly all the ins and outs of MSP. I went ahead and booked in for 3 sessions with there artist macin and i am made up with the results! My confidence has dramatically increased. I no longer feel the need to wear a hat everyday to cover my balding the results and extremely natural and give me a very visual hairline! If you are thinking of having any MSP treatment I could not recommend get head strong enough. 10/10

Initially I was considering a hair transplant but after a lot of research it became apparent that at my age, (58)realistically, I was never going to get that thick hair back again.

During this research I accidentally came across 'Get Headstrong' in Warrington who carry out Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), a form of tattooing. Keen to find out more about it and seeing that Steve (the co-owner) himself also had SMP, I contacted them so as I could see for myself how it actually looked in real life. However before attending Steve requested photographs of my current hair loss and with those pictures a computer artists impression was returned showing me a mock up of how I would actually look with SMP.

Attending at the establishment on Bridge Street I found Steve very professional, friendly, approachable and was keen to answer any questions or concerns I had.

Seeing first hand what SMP entails and seeing how good it actually looked in person, I did not hesitate to book my SMP.

I was advised that it would take around three sessions and would be carried out by one of his employees namely Marcin, who incidentally also had SMP and had carried over 1200, in the last ten years.

Marcin himself was also very professional, friendly, very knowledgeable and pedantic when carrying out the procedure.

I have now fully completed the procedure and to be honest it looks very natural and hard to believe the balding does not show at all and can last over seven years. In fact it is only when I point it out to people they thought my hair was just close cropped. This of course has now given a new found confidence and I have even been told it makes me look younger, which in my book is a Win Win.

I have no regrets doing this and wished I'd done it earlier. 'Get Headstrong' is an excellent company and I can only highly recommend them.

Well its the best decision I've made,I cannot recommend this company enough.From the moment I walked in for my consultation I felt a friendly vibe and relaxed atmosphere the place looks great,very stylish and cool not what i was expecting.Steve was there to meet me for my consultation he had a calm and relaxed approach it felt like talking to a mate.He had great knowledge of SMP and answered everything I needed to know,after that meeting I knew I wanted SMP.At the first session I got to meet Marcin the genius artist he is a great character really funny and his work is amazing his attention to detail is outstanding,I knew I was in safe hands and the results would be perfect.Ive had all three sessions now and can honestly say I never thought it would look this good im so happy with what Marcin has done.Anyboby thinking of getting SMP then please go and check out Get Headstrong you won't be disappointed.

I knew very little about SMP and had never really considered it until I spotted Get Headstrong whilst in town. Intrigue led me to check out their Instagram page and website, and I booked the consultation really just to find out more. Steve was brilliant. He explained everything in a very chilled environment, and told me that Marcin was one of the best in the business with years of experience. He wasn't wrong. Marcin's attention to detail is spot on and after 3 sessions I have a natural looking hairline that I'm proud of, and no shiny bald patches....
SMP is something I didn't know I wanted or needed, but I'm so glad I made the booking. The results are amazing and it's made a massive difference to my appearance and confidence. I can't recommend it enough.

I have shaved my head since I got the first inkling that my hair could be on the way out in my 20's. It's how alot of people know me and was a look I was happy with. In my 30's the hairline was getting patchy and I couldn't go more than a few days without shaving when the dreaded "horse shoe" would appear. I looked into transplants but like I say, I've lived with a shaved head for years and it's a look that I like so when I came across SMP and the looks that could be achieved it couldn't of been better timing when Get Headstrong popped up on my timeline. I reached out, they replied, answered all my questions and had a great consultation that by the end of it and seeing the work Marcin has been able to create, knew I was gonna go ahead. The time in the clinic was great, relaxed, informal and Marcin the SMP artist is a true character, the time flew. I can honestly say I love what Marcin and the guys at Get Headstrong have done to my head after just 2 sessions. I wouldn't say I was a shy individual or that my confidence was lacking but the look that I've got now really adds to what was already there. I would recommend Get Headstrogg to anyone interested in having the shaved head look, enhancing their confidence, feel a bit younger and using SMP to bring a hairline back to life. Great experience from start to finish.

Couldn’t be happier with my treatment. It’s done so much for my confidence even from my very first session. A really cool place and dead relaxed, unlike a lot of the other places I visited. Would highly recommend Get headstrong a friendly vibe from Steve and Grant and Marcin’s work is amazing.
