Dear Justine,
I would like to add some facts and history to the situation.
We have always been extremely accommodating to your needs. You purchased a watch from us that you decided afterwards that you did not like, despite there being absolutely no fault with the watch, without question, we exchanged the watch for you for a different watch.
Later down the line, you changed your mind about the watch again, for no other reason than you didn’t like it and again, without any hesitation, we exchanged it - despite there being no faults with the product. We worked with you to make sure you found something you loved, and you decided on a ring and a bracelet.
Regarding the specific situation you mentioned, this was the bracelet you exchanged the watch for. This is a yellow and white gold bracelet. The mixed colours were something you requested, as you wanted it to match your current jewellery.
Last week you brought the bracelet back to us complaining that it had discoloured and that it had turned white. I tried to explain, as politely as possible, that this could not happen (yellow gold can’t turn white) but as the bracelet did have white gold in it, what you may be seeing is the natural wear of the rhodium plating (slight tarnishing). As much as I tried to explain to you what you were stating could not occur, you would not accept my explanation and would not accept that the bracelet you bought was a white and yellow gold bracelet. You repeatedly tried to say that the bracelet had always been yellow, even though you requested a mixed-tone bracelet, and it is marked on your receipt.
To try and help the situation I offered to clean and polish the bracelet for you, I did all this for you while you waited and all at no charge. The bracelet came up immaculately and looked like new - the yellow and white gold shone through. You were still not satisfied. Not only this, but you also still continually challenged me on everything I said. I felt that no matter what I did or how much I tried to help you still were not satisfied. I even asked you what you wanted me to do, something which you didn’t have an answer for, as you were looking for confrontation and would not accept anything I was saying. I was not willing to exchange the item yet again as there was no fault with the bracelet, and it was sold as a yellow and white gold bracelet.
The whole team has always gone above and beyond to work with you and make sure you are happy. We have always been extremely fair and have always given you excellent customer service, but we can’t continue exchanging or refunding items where we are clearly not at fault.
I feel very strongly that given the facts and the history to the situation, this review has been written unfairly and politely ask you if you would remove it.
Best Regards,
Robert Suckling
