Can't get hold of customer service as they're based in NZ

Can't get hold of customer service as they're based in NZ so they only operate when it's night time in Europe. This means any delivery issues can't get resolved efficiently and we've therefore not been able to receive an urgent parcel in time for installation. On their website it says they ship from Netherlands, would it not also make sense to have a customer service team based in this time zone?

We're really sorry to hear this delivery didn't arrive in time for your installation.

We have been in touch throughout this process and understand the difficulty was caused by the delivery location appearing closed due to the showroom renovations. As soon as we were made aware of the issue yesterday, we contacted our agent to arrange a redelivery and also refunded the shipping cost for the inconvenience.

While our team is based in New Zealand, we do actively support our European customers via email and do our best to respond as quickly as possible across time zones. We appreciate your patience and look forward to your order arriving soon.

I can't speak highly enough of the great products and customer service at George & Willy. The table number holders and wall signs we purchased have been amazing and some small issues with our order were dealt with so beautifully it was impressive. The shipping is so fast also. Thanks again team!

Love Love Love

We just got the bistro tables for outside of our ice cream shop! They are absolutely gorgeous and we have gotten so many compliments already thank you for making such an amazing product that is packaged so well and got to us safely…. we are so stoked to have them!

No parts replacement

Got a regular bakery display unit. Very hard to clean since u cant take the acrylic out of the plastic casing. Obviously this is made like that to make it more cheaper for production and maximise profit. Tried to order a spare panel and was told No its not available since there is not enough demand for it. I had to order the whole thing again that was the only option given to me and has since gone up by $200 since i bought it. So dissapointed with their response, no after sales service provided. Given the price paid for these products expected more. Also these things come from china, probably pay $50 landed and selling them more then $600 and all you can offer is order a new one.
So dissapointed!! Do better!

I'm sorry we couldn't help further here. Just to clarify, your original Bakery Display Case was purchased during our sitewide sale over 1.5 years ago. The current price hasn’t increased — the difference you’re referring to is the standard retail price compared to the discounted sale price you originally purchased at.

The acrylic panel mentioned was unfortunately cracked during cleaning. While we understand accidents can happen, damage of this kind after this length of time falls outside of our warranty, and we don’t have individual panels available for this model. That said, we did offer a discounted price on a replacement case to try and help.

We always do our best to support customers where we can, but in this case the product was well outside of warranty and the damage described wasn’t a manufacturing fault.

Great Customer Service

I had a really positive experience with George & Willy. I ordered the wrong colour menu boards and needed to exchange. I emailed customer service and dealt with Rosie who ensured the exchange was a smooth process and was lovely to deal with! 10/10 recommend for all your signage needs

Horrible surface finish

Their sign blanks are finished with a horrible matt black stippled finish and won't easily accept an adhesive graphic. All sign blanks should be finished in a smooth satin or gloss finish, to facilitate easy adhesion of a graphic. Why position yourself in a market and advertise a product to the trade and claim they are ready for branding, when they are not. Won't buy again.

As we have stated in our direct email correspondence, the lightly textured powder-coated finish was originally introduced to help reduce visible scuffs and handling marks on exterior signage. We understand this can affect certain vinyl applications, and based on feedback, we’ve since updated the finish on newer production runs.

We have also offered you a full refund or replacement in an alternative finish, as our priority is always resolving any situations like these quickly. Looking forward to getting this resolved for you!

Nice products, “too bad” attitude return policy

Recently purchased a a frame sign from George & Willy, and there are a lot of things to appreciate. The customer service team is genuinely kind, communicative, and very quick to respond!! They somewhat care about their customers happiness. The product itself is beautifully designed super thoughtfully packaged, and has that signature G&W aesthetic that literally draws so many of us in.
Unfortunately, I ended up needing to return my sign because once I saw it in my space, it was much larger than I anticipated, and it simply didn’t work for my layout. *** This is where I want to share a heads up for other buyers, especially small business owners who are mindful of expenses. They have a strict “change-of-mind” return policy. Even though the product was unused and in perfect condition, I was to be responsible for 100% of the return shipping cost — and for a heavy metal item, which most of them are, this is not cheap. My fee was going to be about $95-100 to ship back. While their team was polite, they were* I guess understandably firm about following their policy. Nothing about the process felt rude, but it’s important to know that they do not bend on this rule. Even if the box hasn’t been opened.
The products truly are beautiful, but I think potential customers should be hyperaware of the return-shipping cost before purchasing. Especially if you are a skim reader like me. If you’re unsure about size, color, or fit, keep in mind that returning a larger item may come with a preeetty significant shipping fee.

Overall: fantastic customer service, stunning product design just make sure you’re ******completely***** certain the piece will work in your space, because it’ll be too bad. Returns for “change of mind” can become expensive veery quickly.

Super Satisfied Customer

I had some issues with my display case and I got in touch with the sales team at George and Willy. My experience was handled so quickly and above and beyond my expectations. The team at George and Willy are in it to keep customers satisfied and address concerns. Products are great quality

Products are great quality. Aesthetically, they're the best I've seen around - modern, clean lines - and also, love supporting small businesses. One small item was missing from my shipment and when I reached out, I had an answer within 24 hours and the missing product shipped and in my hands within 4 days.

Exceptional Customer Service

I purchased several signs for my business. I had a question regarding one that seemed to have been affected in shipping. The support team (Rosie) responded immediately and resolved the issue. This type of customer service is extremely rare these days. These products are worth every penny. They officially have another brand loyalist!
