I ordered 2 cashmere jumpers from Gentle Herd. One was fine and looked just like it does on the website (although it pills badly - I have to comb it with the cashmere comb every time i wear it and heaps comes off, im sure it will be threadbare before long!)
The other jumper, however was way too small. The photos showed an oversized jumper and the measurements shown on the website were generous. However it measured 12cm less across the bust than the measurement advertised and the skeeves were 4cm too short. It looked like a childs jumper! I received no response when i tried to contact them, so initiated a claim through PayPal. The company that processed my payment were called Wing Shing Electronics with an address in China!! Anyway, PayPal contacted them for a return address and i duly packaged up my jumper to send back. I got a tracking number from the PO and sent this off to PayPal. Anyway, the long and short of it was that they denied receiving the parcel, despite the fact that the PO said that it had been delivered and even gave me the name of the person who had signed for it. PayPal, refused to follow up any further and the company did not respond to my emails. The good news is that i contacted my bank and they secured a full refund on my behalf. It took 2 months!! A very big thank you to ING bank!!

I ordered an Oversized Cashmere Boatneck Sweater from Gentle Herd. It arrived and looks nothing like the image portrayed, is poorly made and is not even cashmere! What a disgraceful experience. I will never order from them again and write this review to warn others.

I ordered from this site many times. Though it usually took several weeks to receive, I have been happy with the products overall. My last order included 3 items. Two shipped but I was told the last item was no longer available. I asked for a refund. No reply. I emailed several times. No reply. I will not buy from them again.

I ordered a pair of cashmere pants January 2024
it is now September 2024. I have been dealing with gentle herd for about 4 years slow but always received my goods in NZ. The quality is good its not super good but for the price of cashmere on sale is great. My son in Australia also bought his wife a jumper in January 2024 Still has no garment. the email address is not responding Sad really

This website is a scam. I spent over $100 and they never sent my order. I got an email it had shipped and that was it. It has been over sic months and I am finally writing a review because I get endless emails from them advertising but they never sent my sweaters or refunded me.

I put in an order for a cashmere jumper and a green wool vest $180. I did not receive anything or had any response to my emails. I ordered on May 23rd 2024 and received only the jumper 6 weeks later and it is not cashmere and no tags on it. I still haven't had any replies and haven't received the vest. I recommend never ordering with gentle herd

I placed an order with Gentleherd on June 2, 2024 but have not received any response to my multiple email checking about the status of my order. I emailed their customer service on June 14, 20, 21, and 27, and as of July 1st, I still have not received a reply or had my order shipped.
Given the lack of communication and fulfilled orders, I believe this may be a fraudulent site. I would remind others against placing orders with Gentleherd, as it seems they are not delivering on their promises to customers.
If there is an option to leave no stars, that is the rating I would give based on my unsatisfactory experience. I hope this review helps inform others and prevents them from falling victim to what appears to be a dishonest business practice.

The quality is horrendous. Sleeves are too short. Color is off.
I tried to start a return and simply got ghosted despite my numerous emails. Avoid at all costs. Malicious intent.

I ordered 60 days ago from the Netherlands and i still didnt receive any package. Gentleherd just stopped responding to my emails and I still dont have my money back. What a way to communicate to your customers by just ignoring them. Dont buy here!

Quick to take your money ordered item on 12-2 they just cancelled because they say they have logistics problem no refund yet

This website is a scam. The jacket looks nothing like this, took about 2 months to arrive and the sleeves are insanely short. Such a bad decision.

I placed the order on 11-27 and received it on 12-30. The item shipped from China and the tracking information was not accurate.

The quality of the sweater is much lower than what it looks like on the website and what you would expect considering the high price. The cut is weird, low quality material, and the item is definitely overpriced. I could have purchased higher quality merino sweaters from Uniqlo for half the price.

This company is a SCAM!!!!! They lie about shipping orders, provide false "tracking numbers" and do not have a phone number for any sort of customer service. They were quick to process my payment, but a month later I've yet to receive my order, have received two conflicting "tracking numbers" yet no indication that anything has shipped. It's been a month since I ordered and they processed my payment...

DO NOT BUY - VERY POOR QUALITY, WILL TAKE MONEY and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

1. Items are inconsistent in size and materials (ordered same pair different colour)
2. Items are poorly made, stitching hanging out, loose threads.
3. Delivery of items incomplete
4. No customer service response for return and refund

I've made several purchases. Two coats. They are absolutely beautiful. Shipping was fine and tracking information for each of these purchases was easy to follow on the Gentle Herd website. The problem arose when I made my most recent purchase just a few weeks ago, After the purchase was finalized (9/21), the page indicated the item could take as long as 15 days to ship (not sure if that meant ship from or arrive at) It only took about 2 days to ship and then nothing. The item appeared to be stuck in China for 6 days. I sent an email requesting shipping status and asking why the package was static. Their customer service replied the next day. Then, movement. The package was in LA (9/23/23). Static again. Another email (9/29). The same canned response. 5 days later my package arrives. The item is beautiful. As the previous purchases were flawless and shipping was faster, I had no reason to suspect this last purchase would be any different. Overall, my experience was great. I received my package within the 15 days and I am very happy with the purchase.

Stuff usually takes 2 -3 months to arrive and poorly packaged with items stuffed into packaged and wrinkled. Most importantly really really poor quality for the price.
This is some cheap operation packaged as ethical to attract people. It's cheap made in China stuff

Every step was painful. Delayed shipment. Poor quality clothing. Sizing and cut issues. Return of merchandise took days once it arrived at return site because the business was closed and USPS couldn't deliver it. Feared I'd never get a refund. Was told my refund had already been given to me in a Pay Pal account. I do not have a Pay Pal account. They even sent me false document showing it was in my nonexistent Pay Pal account. Finally contacted credit card company. Next day, Gentle Herd refunded the merchandise. Something isn't right with this retailer, to say the least.

Terrible customer service ! It’s been 6 weeks not receiving my order . No reply to emails , no supplying tracking number

I purchased 3 dresses on July 1 and two days later I received and email that my order had shipped with an additional email from Gentle Herd stating that two of the dresses was out of stock so they would be issuing me a refund in 7-15 working days. I received the dress on July 20th. It is now July 26 and I haven’t received the refund for the dresses I didn’t receive. I have sent thousands of emails but they aren’t responding to my emails. Buyer beware! Seriously, buy from another shop, this is clearly a China based company selling cheap products that they markup. The quality of images is inaccurate, the quality of the products is mediocre, and the quality of customer service is trash!!
