Absolutely appalling.
Absolutely appalling.
Gem Partnerships assured me that there would be work for me after completing a 4 day "course" that the state pay them to provide.
The "course" was at GCSE level. Most of the "tutors" clearly did not hold Level 6 qualifications or above. I had covered almost all of its content in previous qualifications.
The "course" was 10 miles from my home, forcing me to pay morning rush hour train fares at a time that I could ill afford to.
At the end of the "course," Gem Partnerships told me that I would be on a factory late shift as from the following Monday. I turned up and there was no work for me.
These sharks are making money from the state, providing courses to job seekers who don't need them, forcing them to run up debts in the process, but then don't offer them any work. Their sharp business practice needs to be stopped and their organisation shut down.
