This is by far and away the worst crypto exchange I have used. They hold you funds AFTER the hold period ends. I was told by there support team that the funds had cleared. I received an email stating the same and my assets were available, but I can’t touch them. The last time I had to liquidate to cash to get my funds. The support team is worthless, you don’t hear back from them and then it’s some AI generated crap, basically stalling while they hold your assets. I am guessing I will eventually get it out and they will stay one step ahead of me going to the authorities. DONT USE THIS EXCHANGE, PLENTY MORE TO CHOOSE FROM

Suddenly restricted my ability to withdraw, transfer, or even sell crypto without verification of identity. Ok, no problem. Uploaded ID, scanned my face. Not good enough. Now need to provide proof of residency! Copies of my mail, bills, etc. WAITED MONTHS! finally got a reply from (not much) help desk just to be told I need to upload and send forms again. Still not good enough. Over a year without access to my account. Hours of effort providing everything I can. BEWARE! This is how they steal your money. Now with the bear market and value reduced, not worth it. Total scam.

They will attract you to deposit and later will use some hidden and silent ways to prevent you from withdrawing your assets from Gemini. Just 3 weeks ago, they did a security hold on my account and release the hold after many days. And now they did another security hold on my account without any reasons blocking my withdrawal of my assets. It's daylight robbery and thief. Support is poor. Gemini Institution arm pride themselves with NASDAQ BTC ETF business which gotten Gemini much profit, but treated Gemini Retail customers like shit. The poor service and lack of integrity to retail customers also reflects the poor performance of Gemini institution arm that also lacks integrity and trust.

EVERY time that I try to do something on Gemini, there always seems to be a problem. Their support system is the worst and the online chatbot is totally worthless! I have two accounts with them and have been trying to combine the two accounts for over a year. I keep giving up due to pure frustration, and then trying again after awhile. More than once, I couldn't even get into the account. It has taken literally days for their support to get back. How can they continue to exist with this type of customer service???
12.19.25 follow up: support emails were never answered. I've pulled all crypto and will close my accounts once I have the December statement, if that is even possible to get. It would appear that Gemini would rather lose a customer instead of helping them. This is crazy and probably unlawful! Run while you can!!!

DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM. STAY AWAY. I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with the service on the Gemini platform. My withdrawal has been failing due to a platform issue, and despite reaching out to customer support, I am still waiting for a resolution.
This delay is unbelievable and extremely disappointing. The lack of timely communication and the ongoing inability to process a simple withdrawal raises major concerns about the reliability of this platform.

Its been over a week now no one has contacted me after using the support email logged in and set up acc ok Set up the passkey as they wanted .The passkey no longer works on the acc. This was after I put a some of money in to move around now I can't even log in can't contact Anyone DONT use them.

I joined Gemini after the app displayed a $50 referral bonus when using a friend’s code — this was the only reason I created my account. After completing the referral, I was told that the actual bonus was only $20 due to a “temporary system error.”

Initially, support communicated that I would receive an additional $30 credit to correct the issue. Today, this promise was withdrawn, leaving me with only $20. The repeated changes and conflicting information make the process confusing and misleading for users who rely on the app’s displayed information.

This experience has been frustrating and unprofessional. A platform should honour the information it presents to its users, especially when it directly affects their decision to join.

Worst platform ever. Has network or downtime issues all the time regarding crypto withdrawals or buys. Customer service is one of the worst I have seen they are rude and respond with AI responses whether you personally email then or not. During Zcash peak they would price it over $40 original price and then when the price went down they would do the same but this time keep it 20-40 dollars above real price. This platform has the worst service for crypto holders and users and will leave a bad name on crypto for the people who use this platform.

Impossible to get actual support. Phone number is a recording to send email. Email get AI generated response to send validiton documents. Sent them 3. And never get an actual response just AI message they are escalating it then Crickets. No updates. Avoid their products.

This is in response to Chip Hogg's review two days ago. I agree with your suggestion of a Class action lawsuit against Gemini. In fact I am for a Class action RICO proceeding against them. I have engaged a law firm in Chicago, suggested by Copilot, in an attempt to regain access to my frozen account and, hopefully, restore 3 stolen coins back into my account. I am very old and small potatoes, but I do not want to give up on these irresponsible thieves.

There is at present a lawsuit against Gemini filed in federal court in Florida last October by a man and wife named Spence.

I am another account holder in the long list of customers that is being prevented from having access to my account and my funds. It is criminal what they are doing, especially as a fiduciary. Has anyone been able to penetrate this cowardly shield they're hiding behind? Wirlth a BBB rating of F and thousands of victims speaking out on TrustPilot, Readdit, Facebook and other platforms, can't we get together and start a class action lawsuit? I'm not going to let them steal my money.

I signed up for the Gemini Mastercard because it advertises crypto rewards on every purchase and gives the impression you can earn unlimited rewards. What they do not clearly disclose is a hidden billing-cycle spending cap, where paying your balance to $0 does NOT restore your available credit until the next billing cycle.
This means you cannot actually use your credit limit more than once per cycle — even after paying it off — which directly prevents you from earning the rewards they promote.
This rule only appears buried in the Cardholder Agreement under Section 5(b):
“If you pay all or any part of your Account Balance before the end of your billing cycle, such payment may not replenish your Available Credit until the later of the first day of your next billing cycle…”
This limitation is not mentioned anywhere in:
the Gemini Credit Card Crypto Rewards Program Terms
the advertising
the application flow
the rewards materials
For a card marketed based on ongoing crypto rewards, hiding this restriction materially changes the value of the product. It also prevents cardholders from earning rewards the way the card advertises.
I contacted support and was given generic responses. There is still no clear explanation as to why this limitation is not disclosed in the rewards documentation or in any of the promotional materials.
Anyone considering this card should know:
Paying your balance does NOT reset your spending ability
You may be blocked from making additional purchases
You cannot earn the advertised rewards once the hidden cap is reached
I’m posting this review so other customers are aware of this issue before applying. I hope Gemini addresses this openly and makes the necessary disclosures.

Many retail users including myself has experienced UNPROFESSIONAL and UNREASONABLE witholding of our money and crypto within our Gemini account and prevent us from withdrawing our funds from our Gemini accounts. In the pretence of Security, Gemini will find an excuse to hold your fund and prevents funds from leaving Gemini. I have the feeling that Gemini is trying to block any withdrawal but welcome deposits. You are able to fund your Gemini but you are not able to withdraw anything out from your Gemini account. First Gemini will try to block your withdrawal with Security Hold. After you cleared the Security Hold, Gemini will block your withdrawal with this error; Error "Oops, something went wrong; Please retry. If this error persists, try refreshing the page." No matter how much you refresh will not help.

Such are Scam exchange tactics to trap users funds within their exchange. This undermines Retail users confidence and trust with Gemini. Gemini pride themselves with high value institutional business arm and ETF but treats Retail users like shit. Such poor handling of Retail business will it also reflect the cracks in Gemini institutional arm and ETF as well? If Gemini Retail arm has problems such as this is a telltale sign that Gemini institutional arm and ETF is not any better.

The Gemini credit card is the biggest hassle credit card on the market. It took several weeks to get into my account when i changed phones. They have no phone help for those issues. Then I paid my bill. It took a week and half just to post to my card and they still didn't allow me to charge the money because it said i was at my limit when the card clearly showed i was $3k less than my limit. Their customer service people are idiots from some foreign country who can do nothing to address problems other than apologize profusely like that helps. do not get this card bitcoin or not it is not worth the hassles.

Gemini for all purposes appears to just be taking people's money at this point. My account, after years of being used, was locked/terminated and I was given no reason. They took my funds and won't explain what was done wrong. Gemini is a scam with horrific customer service, you can't talk to a person, and the company appears to be in freefall.

You cannot speak with a live person - call the phone number and a recording directs you to email.

You email and never receive a response

You pay your bill and it takes over 10 days to have it update your available credit even though the payment "POSTED" the next day after payment.

Not great service at all.

I was advised by Gemini that I submitted a request to suspend my own acct. I was locked out & at the time I had $2600 in my account. After weeks of going back & forth I finally re gained access to my account with a ZERO dollar balance. I keep receiving blank emails saying thanks for your patience but, no research no history, no assistance with obtaing the information requested to prove Fraud. Im sick & at my wits end. It feels like Im communicating with a robot who doesn't understand the severity of the situation. They respond every 4-5 days with no results & I always have to reiterate my issue. Please dont trust this exchange. There isn't a customer service number to speak with a true person. Im able to dispute for upto 1year of transactions. I sincerely wanted to get to the bottom of this & find out what happened because Im sure Im not the only one this is happening to. My account was compromised as of Oct 21st 2025.

UPDATE-
They finally reached out & helped me resolve the issue. After almost a Month & over 50 plus emails back & forth. However, I am beyond relieved. I hope everyone gets the assistance they Deserve not need We DESERVE great quality Customer Service.

Withheld funds , when verified and proven identity , mistakenly had another account with Google , which both was never used , or anything , so I didn’t know , after deposit , account locked , email support , they close it , without proving refund or funds or , anyhing wasted 3 hours of my life , worst crypto wallet ever , stay say , dirty scammers

i signed up via a bonus offer referral code from a relative and completed the qualifying activities. they denied me the bonus saying i was ineligible with no further explanation. they do not respond to my inquiries. super sus.
