It was a good experience...But
It was a good experience, but a combination of user error and odd placement had my wallet twinge a bit. When going through, you can change currencies. I mistakenly changed only the product's currency, resulting in a loss of profit. I then noticed I was still receiving funds in the wrong currency, not realizing the entire adjustment needed was in the actual store in addition to the items. I feel the currency should apply your chosen country's currency by default to avoid issues like this.

Charged us but order was never process. We never received the prints and did not get a refund. I had to file for a refund with my credit card. You can't get in touch with customer service - just bots

Definitely recommend
It’s great that we can design items through Gelato, then link our stores, and Gelato automatically deals with shipping the orders. And I like that if I need to renew my old listings that were originally connected to Gelato, I like that the listings stay connected when renewed.

Unethical and not customer centric. Avoid if you can.
Clunky, bad quality and orders arrive so late that I had to refund customers. Customer care is not even taking in consideration my requests. On top of that the company is using copying other people artwork as a positive thing and I’m referring to the collaboration you’re running with Casper Capital where he invites to steal somone’s original design and replicate it with AI. This is ad ethics and toxic professionalism.

I have to say I'm not really happy with…
EDIT / UPDATE 26/01:
I’ve since been contacted by Andrzej, who offered me not only the refund but a third free reorder. It was nice to be helped by not an AI but an actual human who understood the situation and offered help. I want to add that until that point, I had been happy both with the facilities of ordering from the web and the quality of the products, so I’m eager to receive this third package, hopefully third time is the good one. Thank you Andrzej for the help!

I have to say I'm not really happy with the service. I had place an order prior and it got here on time, even before the due date. But since mid december, I placed an order and only 1/3 packages got to me. I placed a report and they said the package would be delayed, to later confirmed it had been lost and do a reorder. Then again, the delivery date wasn't met and they told me the package would be delayed, which was already enfuriating cause I had been waiting for a month at this point. I waited again for the new date and, once more, it was never delivered. They issued a refund and that was it. I had been waiting on this since mid december and I do not understand how it's so difficult to send me a package of a tee and a hoodie from inside the EU? Not really happy and very sad about it cause the concept of the company is so good and I was hoping to be able to try it with customers in the future, but it's not reliable.

Can't recommend for photographers
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this platform for prints and posters. I ordered a sample for multiple of their posters (classic and premium matte, archival, art print) and the order arrived with multiple quality issues. I would not be able to sell this to my customers, it would damage my reputation.
After filing a complaint in their online form and providing evidence, they refunded in the store credit, which I need to figure out how to refund to my bank account. The refund was automatic, not sure anyone will contact me going forward.
Very disappointing.

Find an alternative that is more reliable than Gelato
Pros: 1. Their system is easy to use and integrate with multiple platforms eg Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, etc... 2. Easy to create and automate orders and in some instances doesn’t even need human intervention. 3. Used the free version for a month and everything seemed fine so I took the plunge with getting their + service.
Cons: Where do I start? 1. Get ready for late dispatches or orders not being dispatched at all. 2. Customer Service is handled by an AI primarily which provides responses that you will be already aware of. 3. Delivery companies being changed randomly even though you paid for a particular service 4. In some countries the only option for couriers is the worse courier company in that particular country especially in Europe. 5. The Courier cost vary by country or region, so if you accept worldwide orders you can make loss if you product is not priced with that in mind especially with smaller items. 6. Not knowing where your products are being produced up front to communicate effectively with customers in case of delays due to storms etc… 7. You have zero ability to influence the outcome of an issue and you are the mercy of their “production partners” and customer service when there is an issue.
Now with all that said I gave this company 1 star is due to customer service and inconsistent deliveries in a market that thrives on reviews and efficiency. My business is suffering due to those issues and I will be looking to replace Gelato very soon if they don’t get their act together.
