Here's how this company operates

Here's how this company operates. It pre-charges the customer $162.40 for the first hour. Actually, that hour and that cost is really their call-out fee. The representative arrived on the half-hour. He told me he needed to take away my computer and that the windows upgrade would take 3-5 hours. They charge $153 per half hour. So he had no intention of doing any work in that first hour. They can then quote you any amount of time while your computer is with them. I did not trust them (I made the mistake of thinking I was dealing with Geeks2Y - they catch you so beware) and would not let him take my computer. He then held his hands to his head, said he was sweating and needed air and ran out of my house. I emailed the company for a refund, and called them. I'll never see that money again

Don't use Geekify

Was advised a new Wi-fi card would cost $400, there $50 - that's just the start of things.
I'm writing this even though it's embarrassing for me, it just goes to show how stupid you can be sometimes.
Decided to buy a laptop from them after believing what they said about my Wi-Fi card.
Got my laptop and 10 mins after the the Geekify person left the settings window wouldn't work, it kept closing. They blamed me.
After 2 weeks of messing about and many emails, Geekify came around and fixed it - took them about 6 hours over 3 visits, but then said they wouldn't come back again because I must have done something to corrupt Windows. They would say they'd ring back and don't. They said they'd be there at 10am and turned up at 11.30 with no apology. I've ended up with a $1k laptop that I paid $2,200 for - am I stupid - yes.
Never go near them again, they are a disgrace.

Absolutely abhorrent service

Absolutely abhorrent service. Charged me for a one hour consult after I had described the issue in detail on their booking form. The technician came out, took one look and said my router needed to be replaced and there was nothing he could do. Then quoted me a $2500 system - for a small terrace house with two people! - and left telling me that this happens all the time and he'd just come from another situation exactly the same. It would have been clear based on the information provided in the booking form that nothing could have been done to help me, but they took the money and the booking anyway. Contacted customer service to get a refund - even partial - given that I did not receive an actual service that I had paid for - and they refused completely. So, I paid $165 for a sales pitch, in which I was pitched a system that would have been more appropriate for a small business that for a two person home. And they count the sales pitch as a service! Also, paid for one hour. Guy was here for 15 minutes - three minutes of telling me to replace my hardware, 12 minutes of sales pitch. Could have forgiven that if the customer service was reasonable and they provided a partial refund. But they didn't. They sent me their terms and conditions, which just tells me that ripping off their customers is part of their business model - they've designed their policies around it.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

THIS IS A PAY UP FRONT "SERVICE". I MADE A TELEPHONE BOOKING BUT WHEN THEY SENT AN SMS CONFIRMATION IT WAS FOR A DIFFERENT DATE. I TELEPHONED THEM BACK BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE TECHNICIAN WOULD ATTEND SO I CANCELLED THE BOOKING AND GOT THE COMPUTER FIXED BY ANOTHER COMPANY. GEEKIFY FORGOT TO TELL THEIR TECHNICIAN ABOUT THE CANCELLATION AND HE TURNED UP THE NEXT DAY.DESPITE TWO TELEPHONE CALLS NO REFUND HAS BEEN FORTHCOMING SO I HAVE NOW FIELDED THE MATTER TO NSW FAIR TRADING TO ADDRESS.

Scammed my son of $160.24

My son booked a service with Geekify on 10th December 2025. They charged $162.40 to my credit card straightaway even though the service was booked for 17th Dec Within ten minutes my son cancelled the service because he found someone who could fix his computer straightaway without having to wait for one week. Geekify said they would credit my card with $162.40 straightaway.
Today is 26th January 2026, and still no sign of a credit. Extremely dis-honest. I would not recommend them.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. They attempted to rip off my elderly uncle who has early stage dementia. They charged $160 call out fee for doing absolutely nothing and then suggested that they were taking his laptop away to do a simple clean and reinstall - quoting $430. Luckily I was there to prevent my uncle agreeing to that. I asked the technician questions and he kept saying "I don't know, I'm just the guy in the middle." He seemed to know very little. I have called 'Geekify' three times to complain and received nothing responses from a call centre person who just kept saying 'terms and conditions'. They seem to be set up and structured purely for price gouging and predatory activity.

This would have to be the worst…

This would have to be the worst experience I have ever had with a company, I was misled and when the technician turned up he could not resolve the problem, I advise everyone to not use this service as they are complete liars

Asked for a clean up

Asked for a clean up. Took computer away, brought it back. Clean up did nothing, printer now doesn’t connect, wireless keyboard now doesn’t work. I’ve gone backwards and lighter in the pocket. Now not answering email. Definitely do not use.

Did nothing more than I could do

Did nothing more than I could do. Tried to turn up 2 hours early which was not convenient, then eventually arrived 40 minutes late. Couldn't solve outlook problem (I wanted old outlook not the newer version so I could archive old emails in folders). Suggested complete mirroring brand new computer to my old computer for additional $450 or fixing my 3 year old computer (cleaning and maintenance) for $400. Wasted my money and wanted more.
