Dear all,
Beware of this company. Paid for one year protection and still receiving emails that we have to pay and no protection. Several mails writen back and form fullfilled on website. No response.
Worthless.

First of all I have used the software for 10 years so not a new user. My biggest frustration is every year when I renew they tell me I can't buy an upgrade through the software because the account expired. Then I buy an upgrade stand alone and I can't get the license to be accepted. Solution uninstall the software every year and pay the higher price to install a new copy. I did the auto renew and they told me they could not use the credit card in the second year, it happens but they would not allow me to change the card or update. My account was in -active, so not this time I uninstalled. 10 years of painful experiences and they still have the same old process that has never worked. I used them because of low impact but no advantage anymore. Goodbye GData you should listen to the customer complaints, there are options.

I read this German Software was great. Purchased the software and tried to install on my PC, would not function.
Communicated with Customer Service, who asked for details.
Sent details, waited, waited, no reply.
Inquired again and again. Received notice their software does not work on my brand new laptop.
Further was told they would not return my money, as it was a third party I purchased through.
In my opinion if a company cannot be responsible for their products and payments, they should not do business through that company.

After Purchase I had trouble installing. I asked for support and did not receive a reply.
Finally I reached someone and was told it will not work on my operating system.
I asked for a refund and was told they could not provide one.
BEWARE OF SCAM

I really like G Data. Very strong malware protection. Couple of years ago, it was resource hungry, now it's fast, really fast. Couple of days ago, i got infected by a malware, but G Data behavior blocker blocked it, rolled back all malicious activity made by that malware. Just brilliant!

The Gdata product is very good, İ have been using it on multi-computers for about 10 years, however recently İ have had conectivity problems with VPN and the support was not up to standard. firstly the response time was very slow, secondly when İ replies to any mails they semt me İ received a system information that my mail was "deleted without being read". Lastly after over a month of ineffectual propositions on ther part, and a dismissive mail sayimg they could do nothing else to help me İ found the problem myself. The worst thing is that it was the
the settings in the VPN application that needed to be changed and they never offered any such proposal

I replaced G Data with Eset and I feel like I bought a brand new and fast computer.
G Data was constantly interferring with G Drive eating up to 99% of the 16Gb RAM

Only good thing is nice protection

Stay away from this product, this antivirus will slowdown your computer. Furthermore, it's not enough to uninstall the program, you have to write them that you don't want to renew the licence otherwise they will keep writing you asking to pay the invoice. I've never seen something like this. They give you the chance to automatically renew your license through the website but you can't cancel the subscription online, this is a very unfair commercial behaviour. Please, stay away from this product.

Effective protection
The G Data Internet Security has been effectively shielding my PC for over 7 years now, with just a minor performance loss. All in all, I'm satisfied.

One of the best German Antiviruses. Good priced, light on the system, and highly advanced protection.
