One of the Best Precious Metals Companies.

I've experience with many investment firms and retirement accounts. I have found the people at HAA to be the most helpul, pleasent and knowledgable. Their IT is clean, to the point simple and easy. My dealings with many others has often been a struggle. Sometimes costing me money. I go to them first.

Be aware of Non-Segregated Storage Facilities!

I purchased specific, premium coins from Coins Plus in Spokane for my wife’s retirement fund, with the explicit understanding that they would be held in segregated storage and preserved for my family. After your company was acquired or partnered with GBI, many of those coins were liquidated without my authorization and replaced with bulk bullion. I did not consent to this substitution, nor was I informed in advance in many cases, especially with the 100-ounce silver bars.
The sale of higher-value coins and their replacement with generic 100-ounce silver bars materially altered my retirement holdings and eliminated the unique value I intentionally selected. As a disabled senior who relied on your firm to act as a fiduciary custodian, I consider this conduct deceptive, harmful, and a serious breach of trust—particularly toward elderly clients depending on these assets for end-of-life financial security. This information will be passed on to every local coin shop that I know and also to Dale Whitaker, who has clients that have experienced this same bait-and-switch routine. You should be ashamed, and in my opinion, you rate along with Gold Line International, Lear Financial, etc.

Thank you for your feedback, Larry. We take all client concerns seriously, especially regarding retirement accounts.

To clarify the situation: When your old IRA Millennium IRA exited the precious metals business, their clients faced limited options—transfer to a new custodian or accept a forced distribution with significant tax implications. We offered a transfer solution to our partnered IRA custodian, but that custodian's policy only permits investment-grade bullion, not numismatic or collectible coins.

This limitation was explained before any conversions occurred, and clients were given the choice to either proceed with conversion to bullion-grade products or seek an alternative custodian that accepts numismatic holdings. Per company policy shown in our terms of service, no transactions can be executed without explicit client authorization. All conversions in this case were completed with documented consent.

We understand this wasn't your ideal outcome, and we're sorry the circumstances with your previous custodian created this difficult situation. If you'd like to review specific transaction authorizations, please contact me directly at Support@HardAssetsAlliance.com so we can address your concerns in detail.

A seamless experience

A seamless experience! Nothing could be simpler in getting investments in precious metals accomplished quickly with no system or computer glitches. Just enter the product desired, how much and where you want it stored (of course, you must first pre-fund your account). Voila!

Lending Opportunities Needed

The online access is fine, though other companies offer the ability to lend using one's metals as collateral. I'm considering moving my assets to one of those providers to offset the fees.

I chose HAA because of the reputation of one of the founders.

I chose HAA because of my knowledge of one of the founders, whom I trust implicitly.
For me, trust forms a large part of my financial dealings therefore I have every confidence in the selection of vaults around the world that my metals are stored in. This is backed up by the amount of value they have stored in their customer accounts.
I have contacted Support on less than a handful of occasions, and then only for questions and instructions rather than any problems encountered. I have always been impressed by the speed and outcome.
My only criticism, and it's only been happening recently, is that the invoice sent to me for the quarterly storage, audit and insurance has been arriving later and later, giving me very little time to have the amount in my account to cover it before the due date. In fact, the last quarterly invoice (for payment end 2025) was emailed only after the beginning of 2026. Fortunately, I had been informed on one of the previous occasions that I had a 2 week grace period that I had could utilize. I regard this as only a minor glitch.
So, my impression of HAA is one of excellence in a world of decreasing standards, and I have no hesitation in calling it a 5-star organization, with a full recommendation to anyone looking for purchase and storage of precious metals, at a location of your choice.
