Worst customer service you will ever…

Worst customer service you will ever receive.
took days to receive a confirmation email and good luck if you have any issues on that flight. They have no available phone number to reach them and if you do somehow manage to find the office number, its a 30 second recording telling you to fill out a form or call the airline that disconnects after. Laughable

Bad tickets, no refund

I purchased flights from Canada to Germany in July of 2024. The online check in code supplied by Gate1 did not allow me to check in with Condor, and I was placed on Standby. I made my outgoing flight to Frankfurt, but had real problems on the return flight. Gate1 had included a train ticket from Munich to Frankfurt on the morning of my flight. There was barely any time between arrival at the airport and the flight departing for Canada. The train was late (which as I found out later was not unexpected at all, DB has been having terrible reliability problems in recent years), and because I had not been able to check-in online I had to run to the checkin desk at Condor. I was informed that my seat had been given away. I tried to complain through Condor, but since I had used Gate1, they weren't interested in helping me. I contacted Gate1, and they told me to seek compensation from the airline.

Never book with Gate1.ca

Gate1 continues to maintain its negative reviews and it seems they don't care about it either. They are just here to grab their commission and neglect the customer satisfaction.
I booked my flight with Gate1 and paid extra CAD 196.75 for preferred seats. The Airline changed the aircraft last moment and now they dont have my preferred seats and they asked me to claim refund from Gate1 as I had paid them for the seats.
Now Gate1 is shrugging its shoulders and saying its Airline’s concern if they changed the aircraft. Agreed, but what about the money I paid to Gate1 for the seats? It did not get paid to the airline in full and went in Gate1’s pockets and I did not even get the product which I paid for. Now the airline is asking for full seat payment if we want to alter the seats they assigned. Now me and my wife cannot sit together with our infant in a 15 hrs long flight, despite paying Gate1 full amount for our preferred seats which we did not get after all. This is just white collar stealing!!!
I have filed a complaint and will take this further legally. Its not completely about the money, but its also about business ethics and duping people of their hard earned money.

BIG scam

As of today, Westjet airlines is currently on air strike. I was trying to reach GATE1.ca for support but able to get a proper answer to my inquiry. GATE1. ca - This company is a BIG scam.

I booked my round-trip flight from…Gate1.Ca

I booked my round-trip flight from Ottawa to Calgary for December 24, 2023 to December 31, 2023 through the Gate 1 website.
My trip ID is 8084860.
We had our first flight from Ottawa to Toronto (Billy Bishop Airport) on December 24 at 5 PM which was canceled and rescheduled for December 24 at 7 PM.
We arrived at Billy Bishop Airport around 8:10 PM and we had to catch our connecting flight from Toronto Pearson Airport at 9:15 PM.
We booked Uber immediately and rushed towards Person airport and arrived around 8:50 PM. We went through the check-in and security check as soon as possible and reached the gate but the crew said the gate was closed and they didn't allow us on the flight. I called Porter's customer service and explained the whole situation. They understand our situation but they request us to contact Gate 1. They mentioned they wouldn't be able to help us out as we booked our flight ticket through a third-party website.
Then, I looked for how to contact Gate 1 customer support immediately but there was nothing available except for the contact form.
We again called Porter customer service and explained the updated situation but they mentioned they wouldn't be able to do anything directly, the request was supposed to come through a third party which is Gate 1.

We lost our round-trip flight and all the other things we booked for our trip to Calgary which were AirBnb, Car booking, Reservations for a few things, and a few important activity tickets.
Plus, We rented a car to go back home from Toronto Airport to Ottawa which felt like rubbing salt on our wounds.

To conclude,
We did not cancel the flight by ourselves. The first flight was cancelled and rescheduled by Porter Airlines themself which caused us to miss our connection flight.
Secondly, Porter airline was willing to reschedule our second flight as we missed our connection due to their cancellation/rescheduling.
Most Importantly, their condition was they needed approval from Gate1.ca as we booked a flight through Gate1.ca.
We tried to contact Gate1.ca but there was no customer service call number available to narrate all situations and ask for approval in front of the porter customer service representative.
In the end, they told us their hand is tight if we are not able to contact the Gate1.ca representative and provide their approval for booking an alternative flight.
Unfortunately, we were not able to contact Gate1.ca so we missed all flights and trips.

terrible customer service

terrible customer service, extra amount was ask 5 days after my flight was booked with no explanation. After paying the extra amount they canceled my flight. Got my refund one week later. Really hard to get in touch with someone.
