Consumer Rights Act

I called the company to enquire about tablet screen repair service. After quite a few back and forth conversation with 'Rose', I was asked to provide my home address for item to be collected. I found it strange given that they have advertised many branches in Ireland including Citywest, Shankill etc. I asked if I can actually drop off the device for repair and the insistence on collection only raised a red flag for me. I agreed for the tablet to be collected as long as I receive an evidence of service document. The call ended with me dropping off the tablet to their Shankill branch. I then received WhatsApp messages from Rose advising me to share the tablet's serial number. I shared this and asked whether a quote can be provided when I drop off the tablet in Shankill. She stopped messaging. Ten minutes afterwards I receive a phone call from 'Gary', the owner who advised me he is in business for over 20 years and he doesn't produce repair service documentation and that the WhatsApp messages are proof that their driver/engineer collected the item for repair and continued the call and insisted on my tablet being collected until I asked for the call to be terminated as he simply did not listen to my simple requests: (1) evidence of service document and (2) estimated price once the tablet screen was inspected

Having read all other reviews here, I decided to not engage any further with this company due to breaches of my consumer rights and data privacy rights (unsolicited WhatsApps messages and phone call, home address information).

If you do decide to engage in services with this company, you should request a detailed invoice or receipt listing the work that will be done and parts replaced BEFORE you drop off any items for repair.

Good, fast and affordable service

Booking done online seamlessly. Slight misunderstanding on my part on how service works (i did not expect it to be so easy so i overcomplicated things). Booked same day PC repair and delivery back. PC picked up on time, issue resolved same day with attention to my preference on details and returned the same day in fully working condition. Invoiced same day immediately upon repair being completed. Price reasonable for this speed and convenience. Thank you Gary's team, very happy with this service.

2 weeks to get a query answered with…

2 weeks to get a query answered with "not sure, try at your own risk". A month waiting for them to post. Never dispatched. No response to queries asking why. Ended up going through bank to reverse payment. Worst service ever. No wonder Amazon rules.
