I ordered an amp

I ordered an amp. The next day they cancelled and claimed to refund. No reason was given for the cancellation and I am still waiting for a refund. Two emails I have sent have not been acknowledged.

Not impressed!

I STRONGLY recommend AGAINST buying…

I STRONGLY recommend AGAINST buying from this store, especially used products.

I was sold a used instrument under false pretenses. After returning it, it was listed the same day they received the return, with no additional information. The bass guitar is unplayable in the state it is in.

When I was browsing the online shop I found a used Warwick bass guitar. The description didn’t say anything so I decided to email the store to ask about the condition of the bass guitar. As a reply I got ‘’The guitar is in a good used condition, there's a tiny ding near the pick ups but all in all in a very good state and real nice to play. ‘’

When I received the bass guitar I immediately noticed a lot more damage then described to me in the email;
The ''tiny ding near the pick ups'' is actually a pinhole, as if someone tried to hammer a small nail into the instrument.
The bass was heavily scratched all over, both the front and back.
The plastic cover over the electronics was broken and only has 1 plastic catch left as the other broke off. Also the plastic truss rod cover on the headstock was put in wrong and is chipped all over because of that.
When I took the cover off to look at the wiring I found it was a complete mess in there. The pots also seem very loose.

The biggest problem with the instrument was that the truss rod is broken. When I started to play on the bass guitar I noticed a loud rattle sounding throughout the entire neck (not fret buzz) with the first note I played. First I tried to resolve the issue by giving the bass a quick setup, but this did not fix the rattle and it only seemed to get worse. When I looked at the truss rod to adjust it, the Allen Key hole was completely worn out and not adjustable, the hexagon was chipped down to a circle.

The web shop states they offer next day delivery if the order is placed before 3pm. I had placed the order before 2pm, and got confirmation a few minutes after that. The parcel was however not shipped for 2 days after the order was confirmed. When it did get shipped the tracking code was incorrect. The packaging was also inadequate, it was simply a box with some cardboard in it.

When I returned the bass it was not accepted on the first delivery, and sent back to the depot. I called to ask what happened and the person I spoke to on the phone denied that any parcels showed up that day. I was told that they had been in from 10am that day, but the first delivery attempt was at 10.44am.

The way this shop operates is absolutely abysmal, and after reading the other reviews I know the morality of the shop is non existent. I will be reporting this to Trading Standards as well.
