they have no regard for there loyal…

they have no regard for there loyal customers. been buying pokemon from them for 3 years and when the scalpers come along they wear happy to sell the bulk to them. went from getting 6 151 etbs over 2 months to not getting one product for 3 releases. been asking them to add me to there pokemon email so i can know before it goes live so i can get ready and they refuse but almost every scalper knows the times. they hold stock back so once its release day there are no longer any at retail they start selling it at ebay prices. so you get pre-order or you get to pay 2x. will be happy if this company goes under

Phenomenal service

I have been a regular customer for the past three to four years. Whilst I was first skeptical of their services, I went on a whim and bought a product. Not only did the product arrive as I expected, but all my products have arrived much before the expected delivery date.

Even when I had run into a dispute regarding something I had purchased, they were consistent and respectful in their communication, and I received a full refund of the product.

Their website is minimalistic and easy to browse through. I have also been rewarded on certain occasions for simply purchasing products from the items (such as discounts and exclusive offers)

The only issue I would say I have is that there is no physical store located where I am, which sucks 😔.

Overall, these guys are your go-to if you want to purchase anything TCG or board game related. I would heavily recommend checking these guys out.

Top Trumps Soccer Cards

A pack of Top Trumps Soccer Cards were advertised and the set that arrived was not the type in the pictured advertisement. I paid triple the price for the same set I had already purchased at a local games store. Beware that what is pictured is not what you get sent. Alfred J

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out to us about this order!

As mentioned in your private correspondence to us, this purchase was done by another company on eBay which is called Xclusiveshoppingaustralia.

I'd strongly recommend reaching out to them so they can help further.

Misleading product descriptions

I purchased some Pokemon cards from them. They advertised that the box contained 36 booster packs. However, I they only sent 6 packs (super overpriced for 6 packs). The listing was misleading, and when confronted they refused to accept responsibility, instead blaming their supplier and refused to offer an acceptable solution.

This experience makes me question Gameology's advertising accuracy and customer service policies.
My advice would be Do not buy Pokémon TCG, trading cards, or other collectibles from them.

Key Issues:
❌ Misleading product descriptions
❌ Poor customer service

If you're looking for trusted retailers for Pokémon cards in Australia, I would suggest looking elsewhere unless Gameology improves its accuracy, transparency, and customer service.

EDIT IN RESPONSE TO GAMEOLOGY REPLY:
Thanks for your response.
However, I want to clarify a few important points for anyone reading this:

The gift card offered was only $10, which doesn’t come close to making up for the price discrepancy.
I paid $109 for what was advertised as a box of 36 booster packs. What I received was just 6 packs — something that would cost around $42–$60 at EB Games or other stores local to me. A partial refund or gift card in that range ($40–$60) would have been a much more reasonable resolution (although the difference between 6 and 36 packs would be closer to $200), but Gameology refused even the lower suggestion. To be clear, I would not accept a gift card after this experience, only a refund or partial refund.

Offering a full return sounds fair on the surface, but the process is inconvenient and puts the burden of correcting Gameology’s mistake entirely on me — the customer. They have stated the returned product will go through quality assurance before they refund, so there is a chance I get no money back if anything is damaged in shipping.

Yes, mistakes happen, but how companies respond is what matters. In this case, the compensation offered feels inadequate, and the overall resolution placed all of the responsibility on the customer, rather than owning and fixing the problem adequately.

Hey Chris
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your experience with us!

As per our ongoing private correspondence, our listing for the item purchased contained a genuine listing error where it stated that there were '36 Boosters' included, however the product only contains '6 Booster Packs.'

As this is the case, we immediately updated our listing to ensure that the correct information is displayed to our customers.

Additionally, we do receive our images, descriptions, and titles from our suppliers/publisher for our products so we do apologise that this information was not caught and rectified earlier.

As per our ongoing discussion, we are more than happy to provide you compensation for the issue in the form of a Gameology Gift Card or a Return and Full Refund of your order.

Please don't hesitate to reach out via our ongoing email thread for any further assistance as we look forward to hearing from you so this is resolved asap.

Hi Pat,

We take allegations regarding re-sealing/counterfeiting products very seriously as we pride ourselves on maintaining close relationships with our publishers and suppliers, which includes ensuring we do not disgrace either these companies, or their products by engaging in deceptive business practices.

At Gameology, we do not and have never resealed any products we sell to customers. We sell in the condition that we receive these products from our trusted suppliers - that is, in original shrink.

If you wish to speak to us further, please don't hesitate to contact us via email at contactus@gameology.com.au with photos of the issues you have encountered.

Paid a premium for damaged product

Paid a premium for sealed pokemon center etbs just for them to show up heavily damaged with seals barely intact.
Sent through detailed emails & photos as soon as they arrived to me just to be told that due to their return policy on tcg items that it couldn't be exchanged, compensated or refunded regardless of the fact that the damaged had happened prior to shipping as seals don't tear off after packaging.

Hey Jake,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and we are sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with Gameology!

As discussed in our private correspondence, unfortunately we do not accept returns or exchanges on TCG products once they have left our stores or warehouse. This is due to our past experiences where we had encountered instances where TCG products were returned to us with tampered and resealed packaging or counterfeit product inside rendering it challenging to discern their authenticity.

However in stating this, if you open the product and find any issues with the cards themselves, please don't hesitate to reach out again so we can investigate this further. We kindly recommend that any future purchases for any TCG stock you plan to keep in pristine condition for a collection is purchased locally in-store so you can verify the product is in the condition you are looking for to avoid this occurring again.

If you do find any issues with the items inside the product, please don't hesitate to contact us via email with photos of the issue at: contactus@gameology.com.au, as we would be more than happy to assist!

Product did not arrive and no updates received. After following up for 2 months of waiting, I was informed that product was returned to sender and that I need to pay 10$ for a refund or repurchase and a 5% handling fee. This is the first time I had a problem with online buying

I have had major trouble with a return…

I have had major trouble with a return of an item that is still sealed but metal box it comes I has been damaged during transit, I can’t get a replacement or refund, Gameology are saying because the contents of the box are still playable, the product can still be used for its intended purpose.

I wonder if the person will agree when they open their dinted Christmas present

Hey Simon,

Apologies again for the inconvenience caused and thanks for leaving this feedback!

As mentioned, while we do take the utmost care when packing your parcel, we ship using external couriers and sometimes damage may be sustained in transit due circumstances outside our control!

Generally, in an effort to protect the integrity of our TCG products from all of our customers, in the past we typically didn't allow for returns on these items as we have fallen victim in the past to fraudulent returns on these products.

That being said, considering this situation and the current outcome of this, we have been in talks with our relevant parts and we are undergoing a returns process change that prevents this unpleasant outcome for our customers in the future.

Ordinarily our process doesn't allow for these returns, however as a gesture of goodwill alongside a review for our policies, we have provided a returns label and we will front the cost for the damage of these items and provide a satisfactory resolution for all parties.

To wrap this all up, our team has reviewed our return policy on TCG products, we are undergoing the relevant process change, and we have issued a paid returns label to organise a return and refund of these items.

If you wish to speak with us about these policies or any concerns that you may still have, please don't hesitate to reach back out via our current email chain at contactus@gameology.com.au.

Apologies again for the inconvenience this has caused but we hope you have a lovely day and a Merry Christmas!

I am really disappointed by this…

I am really disappointed by this company. My 9
Year old saved for two years for a particular Pokémon card set and when it arrived the packaging was damaged. Not from transport but because how it was packed. I contacted the company and I was told the cards are still fit for purpose. If you're a young boy who has saved all of this pocket money or If your a collector I would steer clear of this company. They have some great reviews but your story could turn out like my sons, hopes and dreams crushed.

Hey Tim, We are so sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with us at Gameology!

As discussed in our email correspondence, we unfortunately do not accept returns on any Trading Card Game products here at Gameology per our Returns Policy. Although regrettable, unfortunately a tear in the shrink does not constitute as the item being damaged as the product is still considered fit for purpose as a Trading Card Game which does not impact the playability of the game.

We will endeavour to take your concerns onboard and pass on feedback to the relevant teams, however if you would like to speak with us further, please don't hesitate to contact us on (03) 9068 6040 or via email at: contactus@gameology.com.au, as we would be more than happy to assist!
