I absolutely love all Gail’s upmarket café’s. Their coffee is the best. Better than the usual high street chain ones. Gail’s is quality every time & you may pay a little extra but it is the very best. Their brown seeded sourdough can’t be beaten. This is the only bread we eat in our household.
The staff in all the branches I’ve been in, have been so friendly, professional & very helpful indeed but one in particular branch in Highgate, North London, the manageress Katie, went that extra mile & with that I thank her so much. If you haven’t been in one, then you must☯️

Place is filthy and the service is rude. They let all the sandwiches sit out all day and disregard safety temperatures for keeping the food safe to eat. If meat and eggs sit out all day people get food poisoning. Nothing is refrigerated and it's just terrible. Food born illness is alive and well at Gails.

The pastrami sandwich was the worst i have ever had. The meat has great lumps of inedible fat, while the dressing tasted chemical. I was so horrrified I asked for the ingredient list. And no wonder! Hand made possibly but full of chemicals and flavourings. Will never eat there again. Nor believe their ‘upmarket’ messaging. Junk food.
