I came in to buy a sofa with no clue what I wanted - Dodi was amazing and SO patient helping me choose the perfect one! Will definitely be back!
I have made several purchases and return because we have had excellent service. Amanda from the Fairfield, OH store helps me each time. Recently I returned to purchase a chair we needed for a gift that had to meet certain specifications. As usual, she hit the mark and we are very pleased and will return when we have our next need. Thank you Amanda!!!
Tiffanie was grate to work with supper helpful and got me together with little effort on my end
We purchased a couch set which was a modular set. So not cheap, for my daughter. Well, I guess they thought because we were not there that they could do a switch on us. My daughter and her husband went in to look at it after we had gone home and approved the purchase before we bought they did notice the set sitting there had stains on it but did not think anything about it. As I was purchasing a new set. We we called and went ahead and purchased the set and was hounded to buy warranty. We decided against it. Then when they came to pick up the furniture it was wrapped very well in plastic. They again hounded my SIL to buy the warranty even threatening him that once he walks out there was not warranty which I was told differently there was still a warranty just not the extended. He took it home and guess what it was the stained furniture from the floor. So I wanted a new set but the insisted it was my Daughters fault it was stained. They fought and finally said they would send someone to clean it. They scheduled a day to come and do the work. Well she was driving and missed the call. Went to call back a few minutes later and the lady said she had no service scheduled for her and she would have to talk to the manager. Well when she talked to her she said oh yes you but the store model. And when we said we purchase a new model and she said she was looking at the wrong paperwork. I don't believe that but again we were just screwed as they kept denying it.
Please save yourself a headache and go somewhere else. If you choose to go with them, then take pictures of everything you look at so you can compare later, make sure you document everything and make them unwrap it at the store if you are picking up your self. Good luck with this company they don't honor their word, and refuse to show you any warranty paperwork before you purchase it. I am not sure with after as I did not purchase it.
Bought new living room furniture at the Fields Ertel store less than a year ago. A leg broke off the oversized living room chair because it's made of cheap plastic. Hadn't paid attention to that when I bought it. Since I purchased the warranty I filed a claim months ago. Just getting ahold of someone to do that was a nightmare. Then I waited SIX weeks for the repair man to come out. Was told it's because he has such a busy schedule. (How many broken furniture claims do they have!) They had given him the wrong leg. That was on the 15th of this month. Was told I would hear from someone. I didn't. So I called the store this past Monday and was told I would hear something by Wednesday. I didn't. Called today. Was told they'll have to call me back on Monday because they're not sure what is going on with the claim. It's not even noon today. Not sure why they have put me off (yet again) until Monday. Does it really take that long to check into something? Definitely would not be a customer here again.
I purchased a sectional from Furniture Fair on October 5, 2024. Upon delivery/arrival to my home the technician advised that one of the cushions had been damaged in transit, but assured me that this would be repaired or replaced. For months the company gave me the run around and continually cancelled my appointments stating each time that the technicians were “in the hospital “. On Jan 3rd (today) someone was to come to my home to replace the damaged cushion case, however, once again, they cancelled my appointment advising that the technicians had been hospitalized. My reply was this is unacceptable. After going around and around with the representative and being adamant that someone come to my home today to fix this issue that has been ongoing for months, the representative finally said, “You are more than welcome to drive out to our factory and pick it up yourself!”….wow…really!! So I jumped in my vehicle and drove 45 mins to their warehouse and picked up a new cushion. Why they were not able to bring it to my home is a mystery to me and this is not how patrons should be treated. I am so very disappointed that this company played with me for months and refused to make right what they did wrong. I didn’t damage the seat cushion, they did and then made me wait 3 months to replace it and made me drive 45 minutes out of my day to have it corrected….and yes, I purchased a warranty.
True rating 0. Manager and saleswoman only wanted a sale. Asked for an exchange. Saleswoman alleged she told me about the 3 day exchange policy—this was a lie. She never once mentioned this policy —just kept reiterating I could exchange but would be while since it’s out of stock. Once she made the sale——she could care less about customer satisfaction. Didn’t offer any suggestions to resolve this issue. When I told her I was contacting corporate —in sarcastic text she states “hope they help.” Avoid Furniture Fair on Taylorsville Rd in Louisville.
I bought an england sofa out of the state I contacted judy at the Florence location. In customer service she was outstanding went out of her way to help me get my problem taken care of in a timely manner I definitely would recommend her to all my friends and neighbruce. She is an asset to the company
Let me tell you my experience with Furniture Fair.
In December of 2023, I ordered a sofa and chair made by Smith Brothers of Berne Inc. It was delivered to my home the following February of 2023.
The salesman knew nothing about furniture. He was clueless about fabric, furniture construction, and couldn't even get my phone number correct on the order. As a result, I wasn't aware of its arrival at Furniture Fair's warehouse until a month after its delivery.
I was supposed to get a 15% discount for cash, and I got it on one item, the least costly one! When I asked where my discount was on the other, the only response was, "it was a special order item?"
I wish that had been the extent of my issues with these items, but that wasn't the case. A couple of months after delivery I noticed red rashes on my body, and I felt itchy all over. In fact, I couldn't stop scratching my skin. I soon discovered I was allergic to the fabric covering the sofa and chair, The way I could sit in them was to cover them with thick blankets.
One day I saw what appeared to be vapors coming from the sofa. I suspect the vapor were outgassing of the toxic chemicals used to make the materials. They were likely responsible for my skin maladies.
When I moved the sofa around, it creaked betraying a lack of torsional rigidity. The salesman told me that the frame was made of kiln dried hardwoods screwed and glued together. Likely the frame is made of MDF wood held together with a few nails.
The sofa was miserable to sit on. I felt like I was sitting on a big bag of marshmellos. The seat cushions provided zero support. After a few minutes, I was so uncomfortable I had to get up. In short, this sofa was absolute rubbish.
There were problems with the delivery. The delivery guy parked a big heavy truck on my driveway, and when I told him I didn't like it, he got defensive and confrontational. I thought he was going to assault me, so I took measures in case he did. Fortunately, he backed off.
I sent a letter to Smith Bros, and I got an angry phone call from some loud mouth who tried his best to rationalize my complaints with a lot of marketing gobbledygook talk. Fortunately for him, I received the call over my voicemail; otherwise I would have had a couple of choice words for him. Later this clown offered to recover the sofa. I tried to get this done, but I could never get ahold of him.
What I'd like to do is drag this rubbish to my back yard, douse it with gasoline, and set it on fire. Then I'd make a video of the blaze and post it on the Internet. Unfortunately, my HOA and the fire department might frown on my behavior.
I have to get rid of this junk, so I tried to do a consignment with a used furniture store. They didn't want it. Next I tried advertising it on the Internet. I got two responses, both from scammers. My last resort is Goodwill. Maybe I can give it away?
Finally, to add insult to injury, I did a Google review of Furniture Fair. Guess what happened? It was edited to say I was a happy customer pleased with my purchase! I wonder who did this?
After looking for dressers all over town, I was surprised that the best constructed ones available were at Furniture Fair. The set we chose are solid wood with traditional joints. In a world where most furniture is particle board and veneer, glued and screwed, it was a pleasure to see something that could have been made in a woodworker's shop 100 years ago.
One piece was not in stock and delivery involved a few hiccups and delays, but those were out of the control of the store. Their communication and resolution was always handled professionally.
