FTLO Travel Reviews 

This was my first FTLO trip and wasn't sure what to expect. Accommodation, dining and included experiences felt well thought out and balanced. Our trip leader Maddie truly made the trip. She was accomadating, incredibly well versed in all the areas we visited and organised.

I made some great friends on this trip and if the other tour guides are even half as good as Maddie, I know I will be booking a follow up trip

Just finished the July 12-19 Scandinavia trip, led by Maddy. Overall it’s an incredible trip and would recommend for anyone looking to see this part of the world, explore the food & culture, and make a bunch of great new friends. Maddy is an excellent tour leader who made sure logistics flowed smoothly and that we were always having a good time.

Just got back from the Copenhagen, Oslo, & Stockholm trip! Was such a fun experience- I loved seeing all 3 of the cities! But what truly made the experience great was our tour guide Maddy. She went above and beyond in every aspect. Planning to go on another FTLO trip and hoping it can be with Maddy!

I had an incredible experience on the FTLO Sardinia trip with Pi as the trip leader. Pi brought such a warm fun energy to the group. Super easy to talk to and get along with. You could tell she really wanted to ensure each individual had the best experience possible. She was super accommodating with requests, always down to change things up if the group wanted something a little different. Everything was super organized and well planned.

The itinerary itself was well paced. We had just the right amount of time in each city I thought.

I was pretty impressed with our boat days, the boats were bigger than I expected and came well stocked with food and drink (a common theme of the trip).

We always had enough food, wine, etc. The goodbye dinner was fantastic, the restaurant was stunning. Overall I had a fantastic experience and would definitely do ftlo again.

I just arrived home from my 5th FTLO trip to Sardinia! This trip was incredible and was packed with so many activities and experiences. I especially loved the boat days, the cooking class and our farewell dinner! My favorite stop was Cala Gonone, which is a quaint beach town with beautiful restaurants and rooftop views. Pi, our guide was amazing! I knew it was going to be a great trip as soon as I met her. Her energy and passion for Sardinia and her job are unmatched. She made everyone feel so welcomed and comfortable and was always in a great mood! As stated, this was my 5th FTLO trip, but it was my absolute favorite! Thank you to FTLO, Pi, and my group mates for giving me an unforgettable experience!

The Sardinia trip with Piera was incredible! So much beach and boat time exploring a beautiful island. Plus a cooking class, aperitivo tour, trips to a winery and olive oil farm, and a great group of people. Pi was the perfect trip leader—warm, thoughtful, organized, and truly loves this place. She was full of great recommendations and went above and beyond to make sure we all had the best experience.

The Sardinia trip with Pi as our guide was absolutely fantastic! As someone who has traveled all over Italy, Sardinia really blew me away. The trip has the perfect balance of activities (lots of boating and beaches) to relaxation time and we spent time in 3 beautiful and unique towns. This was my first trip with FTLO and I could not have asked for a better guide than Pi-she did a wonderful job and made everyone in the group feel welcome. She really made the trip extra special! There were many people who had been on multiple FTLO trips and all remarked how Pi was one of the best guides they had and how Sardinia was one of the best trips they had been on! I certainly look forward to booking my next trip with FTLO!

FTLO trips are an excellent way to travel solo while also not alone. I've been on five since 2021 (Barcelona/South of France, Greece, Lapland, Bali, Kenya) and they're all very different but excellent in balancing the tourist-y highlights of each place while also reaching some of the deeper cuts that feel more authentic and special. Their trip guides are incredibly valuable as a resource to each traveler and they consistently offer deep cultural knowledge and steady, warm, FUN vibes for each group. 10/10 will keep recommending. Just got back from Kenya with Tim Tim and he was SUCH a great trip leader - local knowledge, great demeanor, made the whole group enjoy.

Bali was my second FTLO trip, and yet again, it was incredible!! Andy, our trip leader was extremely knowledgeable about literally everything Bali. He provided a fun and welcoming energy for the entirety of the trip. He shared authentic experiences for us to do on our own, and they never disappointed. The activities were unique and diverse, and the accommodations/meals were excellent, as well. Can’t wait to travel with FTLO again!

I just returned from the FTLO Crete trip with Artemis & as a 12x FTLO traveler, I was disappointed with a few of the activities on this itinerary and my group had a few childish “mean girl” personalities that was truly bizarre. I first want to say that Artemis was a fantastic tour guide, going above & beyond for each person, and was truly wonderful, 10/10! She was knowledgeable, outgoing, and one of the best tour guides I’ve had!

But the trip itself was not great…Crete was beautiful but for feedback- I was not impressed by the boat day- we were put on what appeared to be a fishing boat/pirate ship replica. It wasn’t the same standard that FTLO has had for other boat days on tours and wasn’t very comfortable. Also, the little neighborhood of Margarites- it was essentially 2 streets of tourist-trap shops that we were forced to hang out in for most of the day. The pottery class could have been fun if it was an hour at most, but not for the 6+ hours we were there. And the lake at Kavallos was a complete disappointment and waste of time. It was a huge tourist trap. We had 1.5hrs to rent little paddle-boats across the lake and back which would’ve been much better spent at a beautiful beach club on the sea. The olive oil farm day was a bit underwhelming as well. Milking goats and watching someone stir a pot of it for an hour wasn’t the most exciting thing.

The hotel in Rethymno was aesthetically nice but that’s where it stopped- my room had mold in the showers and smelled strongly like sewage, and it was located 20+ minutes outside of the town. When I brought this to the attention of the hotel, they sent a housekeeper with a can of toilet spray. I was disappointed for the cost of the trips to have this experience with where we were staying.
The hotel itself was a bit of a maze and many of us found ourselves getting lost in it. And although the hotel in Chania was decent, it was also very far from the city center and was a pain to go anywhere. There were no taxis or transports available in Chania, so it made it more challenging to easily explore the city.

Overall, I was impressed with & highly appreciative of our amazing tour guide, Artemis, & the beauty of Crete, but this FTLO trip itinerary was not my favorite.

Thank you to FTLO and our Tour Manager Angelo for the trip of a lifetime (Amalfi Coast & Puglia)! The itinerary was perfectly planned and balanced, with my personal highlights being a cooking class, a boat day in Capri, Matera, and an olive oil tasting. I was so moved by Angelo's knowledge and passion for Italy's history and culture. As Angelo learned about our individual interests, he shared recommendations for how we can explore them (for me, it was recommendations for 2 galleries in Rome that I still can't stop thinking about). Angelo was exceptional and really made the trip so perfect for all of us. Thank you Angelo and thank you FTLO, and I can’t wait to book my next trip!

My first FTLO trip to Puglia & the Amalfi Coast was truly the trip of a lifetime. The itinerary was well paced and each destination was a beautiful sight to see. Our tour leader, Angelo, made this trip unforgettable. His enthusiasm and passion for showing us the history and culture of his home country made me feel connected to each destination we visited. He went above and beyond to meet individual needs and was always eager to help and answer our questions. I took home great memories made with such a great group of people. I can’t recommend this trip enough. With Angelo as your guide - you are in for an amazing experience!

five stars for the south of france, barcelona & Anna! this was my third trip with FTLO and I continue to be so impressed by the itineraries and tour guides. Highlights were definitely the paella cooking class, boat day in Barcelona + food tour in Nice. We were in France and Spain during the heat wave and even so, it was an incredible experience. Anna gave us so many recommendations for things to do, places to eat+ go to during our free time. She went above and beyond to answer all of our questions & make sure each and every one of us had the best experience. Highly recommend this trip!!

I recently came back from Greece, and I still can't stop thinking about it. The group was truly amazing. From the moment we met, we had incredible chemistry. We became so close so quickly, and everyone was easygoing and just went with the flow.
I was a bit skeptical about how everything would unfold, but there are simply no words to describe the beautiful moments I experienced throughout the trip.
Manolis was an exceptional trip leader. He went above and beyond to provide the best experience possible. He was fun, energetic, and dynamic, and he always made sure we had everything we needed.
I can't thank FTLO enough for this incredible opportunity. It was an unforgettable experience, and I will cherish the memories for years to come.

This is my first travel experience with FTLO. It was a blast!! We had so much fun and Croatia is so beautiful 😍. Our guide Henry aka Hvorje was excellent. He kept everything running smoothly. I made life long friends and will definitely be back in Croatia sometime soon.

I returned earlier this week from the FTLO Greece trip and it was absolutely amazing! This was my second trip with FTLO and I would definitely recommend them. I thought the itinerary was very thoughtful with a good mix of planned activities (highlights were the Milos catamaran day, the beach clubs, and the sunset visit to Antiparos) and downtime to relax and enjoy the beach, the cute towns, amazing food, and time together with our group (YAY for a girls' trip!). By far the best and most memorable part of the trip was our trip leader Isaiah! From welcome drinks on the very first day, she made everyone feel super comfortable and included, and ensured everyone had a great experience while making the most of our time in Greece. She went above and beyond the entire trip to help us plan activities for our downtime, kept things super organized and on schedule, while also bringing such warm, caring, and fun vibes to the entire trip. While the trip itself was amazing, Isaiah's enthusiasm, kindness, and thoughtfulness made the trip truly memorable. I'd highly recommend this trip, and I would love to go on another particularly if Isaiah is leading it! <3

The Sardinia 2026 was an absolute dream! Pietra, our guide was UNBELIEVABlE. From always making sure each person was comfortable, assisting with outside dinner plans to always snapping pictures and contributing to the amazing vibes, she was the best. I highly recommend booking!

I jut got back from Sardina & have nothing but praise to give. Pi was a shining light & always smiling. Her positive attitude & free spirit made the trip all the more special. The days were well organized & was a perfect balance of beach, boat, activities & free time. Highly recommend if your looking for a relaxing holiday.

Just finished the Sardinia trip. It was amazing! Our leader, Piera was fabulous! She made an amazing trip even better! Felt like traveling with a very organized, well informed friend! She went above and beyond to help organize dinners and activities during free time. She was always available when needed. The itinerary is great! If you love beaches, boats, swimming and great food I would recommend this trip!

I just returned from FTLO's Slovenia trip, and I can honestly say it exceeded all of my expectations. I had the best time and completely fell in love with Slovenia—its breathtaking natural beauty, charming towns, and the genuine pride the locals have for their country and everything it has to offer.
A huge part of what made this trip so special was our tour leader, Lilla. She was absolutely incredible. She was always accommodating, genuinely cared about everyone's experience, and constantly checked in to make sure we were having a great time. While the itinerary included a perfect amount of free time to explore on our own, Lilla always came prepared with great recommendations and even organized additional activities for anyone who wanted to make the most of that time. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and attention to detail made the entire trip feel effortless and memorable. I would happily join another tour led by Lilla—she is truly exceptional.
