Read the FT with a bowlful of salt

Read the FT with a bowlful of salt. There are increasing propaganda pieces that paint quite a biased view of many issues.
The FT was once famed for the ability to provide impartial and critical analysis but is increasingly partisan and misleading.
And arbitrary and repeated comments deletion and banning seems widespread and so only FT's echo-chamber views are allowed. Quite pathetic and draconian treatment of paid subscribers
After having subscribed for many years I have just cancelled my subscription

High handed hypocrits

The reporting is OK, if you view it through their editorial bias. It's very expensive but maybe worth it for the extensive comments section where you'll find more insight than in the article. Annoying that they have too-easy-to-accidentally-click advertising considering that you're paying for a pricey subscription.

What is unacceptable is how aggressively they censor comments that contradict their views. The FT preaches an open, liberal rules based mantra that encourages free speech, yet they're relentlessly hypocritical in deleting views that aren't aligned with their own narrow perspective.

Changed address in central London

Changed address in central London. The FT has only managed to find my address once in the past two weeks. They do not reply to emails and have been completely unhelpful in resolving the situation.

I do not advise getting this newspaper delivered and will be cancelling my subscriptions.

Weekend Delivery

Ordered the weekend print. Didn't arrive in week one. Told it would arrive in week two and it hasn't. Cancelling subscription. I have now heard from many the FT delivery service is dreadful. If you can't deliver paper to people's doors you shouldn't offer the service.

Edit - dreadful customer service, they simply suggested I wait another week to see if it had resolved. I told them to add the daily paper until we know that they have sorted the issue and they refused. I tried printed press but will stick to digital news aggregators. In the age of frictionless processes print media needs to do better to survive.

FRAUDULENTLY charged my card

Went to buy a year subscription from the Financial times, however, when I went to pay with my card their website showed me an error message and said that your payment could not be processed. Several hours later a MXN 74,000 (USD $4,000) charge appeared on my card from the Financial Times. I have now spoken to 3 different people from their "customer service team" over the past three days, have sent multiple emails and have not been provided with a resolution (or even a response in the case of emails). The FT is supposed to be a reputable newspaper - this is absolutely outrageous. DO NOT BUY A SUBSCRIPTION with the FT or you will put yourself at risk of having a charge like this on your card.

Three days into a print subscription

Three days into a print subscription, not a paper to be seen. I am absolutely despise digesting my news digitally but looks like i have no choice. I wish i had of read the reviews before signing up. I committed based on reputation. Maybe the supply chain directors need to spend some time with amazon to learn how to setup an effective delivery service. I can't be bothered with the headache, i think i will cancel in my cooling off period and buy the economist.

Excellent apart from …..

An excellent newspaper. The research and depth of its articles are second to none. However, it has one flaw, its editorial opinions, under the the label The FT View. Every day I open the FT and cringe. The section should be relabelled Stating the Bleeding Obvious in an exquisitely sanctimonious style.

From the perspective of a culture…

From the perspective of a culture vulture and lover of architecture, jazz and classical music, art, poetry. books and eccentric influencers - the FT Weekend has it all.

I simply adore the Religious Opinion Section - as an Eschatologist (I write about end time prophecies contained in the Bible - Matthew 24.3-22, 2 Timothy 3.1-16), and Poetess. Always inspiring! Thank you.

I subscribed to the FT print delivery…

I subscribed to the FT print delivery in March 2021. Since then, I have received the paper 4 times. I have called numerous times to speak with customer service. I have documented over 20 conversations with customer service, always told I would receive a call back. I never do. I have attempted to escalate the issue, without any results. Terrible customer service, terrible delivery service!

Edit: After I posted this review, FT.com replied that they have contacted me to address the issue. I have not received any correspondence from them. I will revise this in the event they actually reach out to me to address the issue.

Cancel CON

So you go through the process to cancel and they then ask for feedback. You give them feedback and think you've cancelled. But beware - you stlill eed to find a very well hidden cancel button twice. And that's after already pressing cancel and submitting feedback on why you cancelled

I expect better from the FT and so won't be using again.

Comments getting deleted

Comments get deleted if it is not inline pro western narrative. For example, I commented "War would not have happened if Ukraine agreed not to let Nato in". They don't tell you it's removed, it just disappears. Can FT please explain why it was removed? what is wrong with that comments?

Poor user experience

The FT.com user experience is appalling compared to other quality media such as Bloomberg or The Times. Despite being a subscriber I am regularly unable to access the content I have paid for. I will not be renewing my subscription.

Best Customer Support from the Best Journal Around

I needed to contact FT Customer Support in UK. I am very grateful to SVEN who helped me with few information I was looking for about my digital subscription. I am happy to say that the quality of the customer support and help received upholds the quality of the journal. I am very sorry to hear that other people do not agree, but for me FT and its services and support remains one of the best around.
