Appalling - was at an event from 09:30 to 21:30 on the Saturday at Friends House, and it was one of my worst experiences ever. I can't believe in this day and age, there was no proper air conditioning or even built-in fans in the main hall. The heat for the event was unbearable, people were dripping with sweat, and even people were fainting. You need to get your building into the 21st Century!

We booked a room for a meeting and were very pleased with the experience. The room was well set up and comfortable, the delegates commented that the food was lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout.

The staff team both in the run up to the event and once we arrived were really friendly approachable and helpful. Everything ran smoothly and as planned with all catering too - which was excellent.

This was my first time booking with Friends house and from the start there was a lack of communication with Friends House (Contact Gloria) and myself at Birthrate Plus. I booked a room for an all day meeting for the company I am working for and we required lunch. I was first told that I just refer to the website and sent a lunch menu/document which was very hard to understand and grasp. Gloria did not explain what packages were what, the portion sizes or any help or guidance and this was my first time using Friends house as a meeting venue so some guidance as to what the different lunch packages were would have been great but instead I just got told to look at the sheet provided. On the day of the event I turned up expecting to meet Gloria (my contact and rep from Friends House but instead just given a key and told to basically sort ourselves out. I feel my rep Gloria should have been there to greet me on the day the event instead I was told that Gloria "works from home 3 days a week" and wasn't in this day. This is very strange for an events/meeting organiser. The lunch came and it was very small and minimal, a few sandwiches and only 1/2 options for the Vegetarian, Vegan and Halal that I had notified Gloria of. There was no fruit, no snacks just a few sandwiches and a few Falafel's. Quite disappointing as if I was explained from the beginning the packages I would have maybe chosen a better option but Gloria did not have any enthusiasm with helping me select. Then the afternoon tea/coffee break came and we got a plate of very very small pieces of tiny cake. I would not even class this as a slice of cake it was more a tiny square (piece) I was actually embarrassed as these people had now been in a meeting all day and after only a few sandwiches at lunch this was just awful. I called for someone to come down and speak to me and spoke with Gloria on the phone. Somebody came down and they mentioned that the company were going through changes and that they outsourced the catering so not much they could do but would try and get us some more cake. A few more tiny pieces of cake came down with some fruit and a few more biscuits. the whole experience was quite disappointing and the lack of staff around that understood. i have worked with many events meeting spaces and companies and this was quite bizarre.

The event turned out to be a remarkable triumph, with all aspects unfolding seamlessly. We extend our gratitude to all who offered their support.

Friends House is perfect for those seeking a centrally located venue for gatherings or meetings. The atmosphere is incredibly inviting and serene, with spotless and refreshing interiors. The staff are exceptionally supportive, and the pricing is unbeatable for central London!

This was my first visit to the building (although my firm has used the venue before) for a staff training day. The room had everything that we needed, the food was great and plentiful and the staff were very attentive to our needs.

Easy to arrange. Good size room. Nice and clean facilities and food options in the cafe.

The staff were nice and supportive, but there is room for improvement. Prior to the meeting, I asked if there would be microphones and AV equipment, and they said yes. However, when we wanted to use them, I couldn’t find them anywhere, and there were no instructions. I asked for help, and the supervisor came and kindly assisted, but she also told me off, saying I should have mentioned it during her check.

On both days, there was a lot of leftover food. When I asked for takeaway boxes, they said they don’t provide those — such a waste.

I recommend Friends House to anyone who is looking for a central location for an event or meeting. It's so welcoming, a really calming space, everything is clean and fresh, and the staff are so helpful. As well as the rates being excellent for central London!

Great Venue and Excellent Organization
The meeting room was comfortable, well equipped with everything the participants' need.
Support staff are at hand whenever the organizer need. Friendly staff and atmosphere. The geographical location is great and accessible by various transportation links.
