Mike Goldsmith represented us in the sale of a house we have owned in France for over 30 years. Mike was highly responsive and full of useful advice
to execute the sale quickly.

After we had reviewed comparables and I decided on a price, Mike was able to generate a full price offer on the day BEFORE the actual listing. This offer subsequently resulted in a successful closing of the sale.

Mike displayed a great sense of who the likely buyers might be and how best to position the house for them. He advised and arranged for all of the requisite inspections, and facilitated an introduction to LumonPay for the ultimate conversion and transfer of the sale proceeds.

We felt very well supported throughout the entire process and were pleased with the result. I have already recommended Mike to several colleagues.

Property searching with Jennie Tombs was made so easy. Jennie had listened to our requirements and had researched properties for us. Jennie's knowledge of property regulations is extensive and reliable.

I have purchased several properties now in Courchevel with Sian, from Leggett Immobilier, acting as my property agent which involved her finding properties, negotiation and processing the sales. I can say that, whilst it wasn't all plain sailing, Sian managed the process professionally and efficiently and I would highly recommend using her services to either sell or buy a property in the Courchevel area.

Really first class support from Donna Tulloch. First visit from her and we had a sale at full asking price (so the estimate was correct). Our house was close to a € 1M sale so this was a thin market but it worked out as a smooth transaction.

The help I received from Jane MacKerron in Brittany was invaluable.

I can now see why Leggett Estate Agents have such a poor rating on trustpilot. We had our house listed with the Leggett agent in south Dordogne. From the start we found him very unprofessional. Photos of our property were second rate. He took umbrage when we questioned his description of the property, which was completely inadequate. His initial valuation of the property was several hundred thousand euro below equivalent properties in the area, which seemed to be a deliberate tactic to keep the price low. Following all this, there was no communication or updates from him in six months. When the mandate expired, there was no prior warning or contact from Leggett. They simply removed the property from all the web listings. So for over a month our property was nowhere to be found. We thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt and relist with them, thinking that it was the local agent who was incompetent. However when we contacted the Leggett regional office, they sympathised but refused to appoint a new agent. The whole experience was very disappointing and upsetting, and as a result we would advise against using Leggett to sell or buy a property in the Dordogne

Extremely rapid purchase facilitated by Sian here in Courchevel. Very responsive and helpful. Would use again but sadly we’ve got no savings left now!

Leggett supported us from January 2023 up until we purchased our home in July 2023. In fact they continue to support us now through contact with their agents.
Leggett gather good people to act as their agents and Victoria S and Andrew G in the Aude region are an excellent example of this. They were their to help us buy our home not selling us a house.

The sale was handled by agent Michelle Fullbrook initially and later by Simon Robinson. One sale fell through when the buyers changed their minds. A further sale fell through when the buyer created a number of problems with a requirement for retrospective planning permissions for works done prior to our ownership. Despite the valiant efforts of Michelle the buyer eventually withdrew just prior to the Compromis de Vente. Simon Robinson handled the final offer which eventually reached a successful outcome. Both Michelle and Simon showed great perseverance and patience trying to resolve the problems created by the second buyer and Simon worked tirelessly to get the planning permissions approved so that the sale could proceed to completion. We were particularly impressed with Simon's video of the property which led to the final successful offer. We were kept fully informed throughout and had no problems getting hold of both the agents when we needed to. Great professionalism - Very impressed!

Will never ever use them again

We cannot praise our local agents Debra and Les Bush in Montmorillon enough. They made a very stressful situation much easier, helping us to deal with local police, town hall, water supplier, waste collection, house clearance and gardening to mention just a few things. They really made everything easy and took us through the French selling system, arranging all the surveys etc. Would definitely recommend their service.

Our local Leggett estate agent Susanne Gales was super and helped us through the entire process which was protracted and painful at times. Susanne went out of her way to help us as we were UK based and everything was more difficult

Leggetts acted extremely professionally, the sale of my house went smoothly and efficiently. Everything was done with transparency and I was kept well informed of progress through to the final signing.

Our Legget agent, Trina, gave us plenty of time to view the property, was patient when we hit obstacles, made the actual purchase process as smooth as possible, was helpful all the way through that process and is still helpful with our queries & teething problems 6 months after purchase.
