FreeToTranscribe turns audio and video into text. No account, no signup, no payment, ever. Upload an MP3, MP4, WAV, M4A, MOV, FLAC, OGG or WebM file, or paste a TikTok or Instagram link, and you'll have a transcript in a couple of minutes. We built it because most transcription sites give a tiny free allowance and then push you toward a subscription. We didn't want to do that. Everyone gets up to 5 transcriptions a day, 60 minutes total, for files up to 25MB, with no upgrade tier and no card details needed. It runs on Whisper based speech recognition AI, picking up the language automatically across 15+ languages, including English, Spanish, French, Hindi, Arabic and Bengali. Download your transcript as plain text, SRT or VTT subtitles, or a formatted RTF file. People use it for interviews, podcast show notes, lecture recordings, subtitle files, or just a quick transcript without another account to manage. Files are processed securely and deleted right after your transcript is ready. We think a simple task like this shouldn't need hoops to jump through.
