the site is free and has a forum

the site is free and has a forum - its not up there with the hip "stare at my phone" zombie crowd because it doesn't have DMing or "emojis"...because its a website, not a phone app.

most of the reviews on here seem to be a disgruntled ex user mentioning the domain owner by name, if they were fast enough to ban such a petulant person that it spurned them enough to write the aforementioned reviews, then the sites moderation team is top notch.

I have been on this site for years .

I have been on this site for years .
I've met some lovely people as there is a friendship option too.
It has an interesting forum .
I've had quite a few dates which didnt end up as long term relationship, not the dating sites fault .
If I've ever had any scam or offensive messages , the administrators dealt with it swiftly.
There are some very nasty reviews on here , which I view as being personal and malicious.
I certainly have never experience my email address being 'sold' on.
I'm surprised the obviously vindictive emails have been allowed to remain.
My advice try Freedating and make your own judgement.

Free forum for platonic chat or romance, one of a kind

This is April 2020, we're all supposed to be trying to practice social isolation during a viral crisis and was glad joined freedating not least for their opportunities to purely platonic chat with others. Its restricted, some might argue disciplined, one can't criticize others on the forums but that can be adjusted to. Have been entertained, educated and met another local. Others on the forum have done much more than this. Join, it's free.

Winchester

Winchester (the owner) is a serial piece of nastiness that loves dictating how people live their lives. He unfairly banned me from two of his other sites (fabswingers and fabguys) and then blocked me from even entering freedating out of spite

I have been on freedating.co.uk website…

I have been on freedating.co.uk website a number of times, and got chatting to one or two really nice woman - until I was deleted unsuspectedly..!!

I did my research and checked a number of things as to why my account was deleted on purpose. Freedating site is a scam, the owner Dan Winchester is a Serial entrepreneur - dating, property, travel etc...
He makes his money out of advertising on websites mis-advertising dating - using people’s information to sell to third parties; once he feels YOU have nothing to give for him to sell, he will delete your profile... it’s a little like leading you on – with no results.
Those who register, have to comply by ticking all his policies, which means, you won't get any meaningful exchanging messages from women, and it’s a waste your time even trying - just an automated service; there is an occasional message from possible his assistant, just to make you feel interested and keen to carry on!
Once all your information is collected and sold to the highest bidder, your account will be deleted!
The pictures of woman are from other dating sites – stolen.
This scam site has been running 14 years 5 months.

Now, for those of you who that have wanted to find who he is…his account is on linkedin.com danwinchester
It clearly identifies him and the business he holds.

I give up

Online dating doesn't work. It never does. I don't know what is wrong with me but I've been called good looking, I have been called intelligent, I have been called funny. What the hell do people want because I sure as hell don't know. I even tried Match.com and that one is even worse. It's like paying to be ignored! I give up.

Owned by Match.com?!

I've been investigating a lot of these websites and apps. I don't know if you've noticed but if you try closing your account it suggests match.com and this is not the first website to try and do this.
Match owns Tinder, OkCupid and Hinge. Is it any wonder why we don't get anywhere.

Shockingly bad!!

Shockingly bad!!! Some muppet called Dan Winchester suspended my account several times under rhe guise of being abusive / offensive. This spanner depends on software and not a contextual, consensual mutual conversation!! What a cabbage this guy is!!

Bad experience

Bad experience! I receive 10 messages a day, to the point it made me wonder if there are true messages and profiles.
Two men I chatted with filled me up with compliments only to see that "the user has left the site" soon after.
There is something wrong and from hearing other people's stories, I'll be hesitant to give my real number and email from now on to suspicious dating sites

A scam site - AVOID

I adhered to site's terms and conditions yet, for some reason I received a ban. Instead of my profile being removed from site, as one would expect, my details and photos were still available for other users to view. As I no longer had access to my account, there was no option to delete. When contacting 'Freedating.co.uk' to ask why I had received ban, the obnoxious creep, named Dan Winchester, refused to provide a reason for the ban. I explained that I adhered to T&Cs, to which he replied 'I can chose who I want and don't want on my site', thus confirming that said ban wasn't justified. Disgusting attitude!! I receive a ban, for no reason, yet Freedating.co.uk, won't remove my details and photos. Clearly just a scam site to obtain personal details!!

Not very good

Not very good. Too long to approve profile. I got a confirm my subscription email but not a confirm my email which is odd. So I'm just awaiting approval, there is no way to contact them to ask them to send me a confirmation email. Also most of the people on that site are in a relationship. Watch out for zakjones. He's a cat Fisher.

The worse dating site ever

A very stupid site i only joined a few days ago i put in my post code Midlands UK! Then i got an email from a Dan Winchester telling me my account was suspended, surprised at this i enquired as to why! The reply was that only people from the UK was allowed to join! I told him to take a look at my profile he would see i was from the UK! I received another e-mail asking me for information i already put on my profile! I just could not be bothered with the whole attitude of the responses So i told him to close the account and forget it. The site itself is rubbish pages hard to negotiate and very unattractive spinsters i would not be interested in
