Few confidently named fragrances trace an arc from cool, green fruit to something this dark by the finish, yet that's exactly the shape this one takes. Lavender and honeydew melon open with a soft, slightly sweet freshness rather than anything sharp or citrus-forward. Pink pepper and pineapple leaf carry the center, spiced and green at once, adding texture as the composition develops further. Suede and patchouli close things out rich and earthy, giving Iconic Cologne a considerably more serious finish than its fruity opening suggests. Woody fruity is the fitting classification, versatile enough for daytime wear while holding up comfortably into evening. It suits casual outings, dates and low-key gatherings about equally well. Fall and winter favor the suede and patchouli close most, though the melon top keeps it wearable into warmer months too.
