I’ve had a great experience using FoundationSearch. What stands out most is how easy it is to use—especially compared to other prospect research tools that can feel overwhelming or clunky.

The filtering capabilities are incredibly strong. You can drill down by geography, giving history, funding interests, grant size, and more, which makes it much easier to identify truly aligned prospects instead of wasting time on broad lists. The platform is built to help you quickly find relevant funders and prioritize where to focus your efforts.

It’s also a very comprehensive database, with access to information on hundreds of thousands of foundations and historical grants, which helps you make more informed decisions and spot trends in funding.

Overall, it’s a highly efficient tool for prospect research, especially for organizations that want to be more strategic and targeted in their foundation outreach.

FoundationSearch has excellent customer service, and the staff is very willing to help you customize your searches, provide training, and brainstorm with you.

FoundationSearch are constantly upgrading their software and make use of the latest AI tools and functions. Their support team are always available to assist and to help me with funding opportunities.

Shane Govender is a phenomenal customer service specialist, his duties go beyond just being a part of FoundationSearch. I can reach out to him directly and he is always willing and able to assist me. They don’t leave you hanging once you subscribe, they actually want you to be successful and for that I’m grateful ❤️❤️❤️

Honestly, this is the one tool I cannot live without. I have worked in non-profit land for 40 years and feel like I was in the dark for 36 of them because I did not have access to the all-in-one resource Foundation Search. I have used it successfully to significantly increase the resources and capacity of my organization. The software provides substantive and comprehensive information in an easy to undersrand format. The staff have been incredibly helpful over the years. I highly recommend it.

Yusus Agha of Foundationsearch was very helpful in supporting our organization NAPAD-USA to achieve fundraising goals.

FoundationSearch.com provides affordable access to a large database of grant information. Their major point of differentiation is proactive assistance. When word of challenges in our sector hit the street, I received an unprompted call from Yusef Agha asking if there was anything he could do to help. Since that initial outreach, we have been in regular contact and he has provided me with detailed and actionable solutions that have yielded fundraising results.

Our nonprofit has been using FoundationSearch for 6 years and will continue to do so. Previously, we used internet searches and a local database that we had to go to a different location to have access to. Having FoundationSearch as an accessible database that we can use on-site, has been such a fabulous update for our team. We have benefitted from using the program.

Save your money. All the grants are "invite only" so you actually cant get access to anything. 100% waste of money and even worse the tons of time. They say they will help you, went through multiple managers who were useless.

Our very small not for profit was contacted by FoundationSearch's marketing/ outreach man. He told us that we could expect to receive significant dollar amounts of grant money, certainly enough to cover the expense. I told him that the cost of participating was about 5% of our budget, but he assured me that we would receive much more than that in grant funds, if we applied regularly.

So, we purchased their system for almost $6,000. We sat through their training lessons, prepared LOIs, requested assistance, and paid an employee to apply for grants. Their employee who updates their list created a list of about 60 foundations that would support our work. Of that list approximately 75% did not exist or were donor advised (we wouldn't qualify). We began complaining within a couple months... more promises.

Finally, after months of applying, I told them we wanted our money back. They had their man who is second in command contact me. He asked me what I wanted. I said I either want what they promised, an accurate list and customer support, or I wanted my money back. They have refused to give us our money back. I've requested support at least 3 times in the past 2 months. They have refused to provide support. They took me off of our account because I complained, and they lied to me on multiple occasions, always promising a response and delaying to provide it for months.

The only thing I can say is that they do have a big list. However, it is not up to date, difficult to use, and therefore virtually useless. We paid our employee thousands of dollars to prepare applications. I also asked them to allow me to write a review on their website where they advertise reviews. They would not allow it.

Finally, they told me that they would help us more and extend our contract for 3 months. They did not follow through and cut us off.
