Formbot Deletes Negative Reviews and Silences Reviewers

I purchased a Voron V0.2r1 kit from Formbot and was very unhappy with the quality of the kit hardware and 3D printed parts. I posted a negative review calling out all the shortcomings only to have it deleted multiple times, even with various star ratings. I reached out to their customer support and the rep I spoke to admitted to having an auto detect and delete for negative reviews, although I don’t believe it’s automatic. I stated that this was incredibly anti consumer and an admission of guilt to a poor quality kit, to which a “I will send this to a manager” was returned. I continued posting the review every time it was deleted until my order was removed from the “to review” section on my order history. I always thought it was ironic that there was a notification to review my order when they kept deleting it. I can no longer post a review for the kit and have been silenced by Formbot. I will proudly never purchase anything from Formbot again.

Avoid this company. Pay the extra and shop elsewhere

Give you the option of where to ship from. Picked China as was the cheapest. USA was £100 more, yet my parcel has gone from China to USA anyway.
To add to this they don't mention anything about import fees to be paid. Due to the cost of delivery I naturally assumed that was included seen as they didn't mention it but no, the unmentioned extra charge hit me.
Then, they can't even manage to get it to me in a timely fashion. I have no idea where my purchase is or when I'm getting it. Never again. Avoid

Discrimination based on location…

Formbot advertise as shipping worldwide and also advertise as having an EU based warehouse so that EU customers can purchase goods from within the EU without EU customers having to worry about extra VAT and import duty being applied on goods listed as coming from China.

This is very nice but the reality is that it is factually a lie.

As an EU based customer, I attempted to make an over €1000 purchase listing that I wished to ship the item from their EU warehouse which is listed as being in the CZ upon trying to finalize my purchase I was advised that in their words “The item(s) can't be shipped to Cyprus. Contact Us: (Their sales email address)

Now the CZ (Czech Republic) is legally listed as being a part of the EU and also that CY (Cyprus) is also listed as part of the EU.

When I contacted the listed email address, I was advised that it was the “policy” of the CZ warehouse to not ship to Cyprus and that they “hoped” this “might” change in the future.

They did offer to ship the item direct from China and openly admitted in writing (I have written proof of this) that they would attempt to break the law by in their words “ship from China and list the cost of the goods as a very low value on the invoice”

From years of experience Cyprus customs DO NOT EVER follow the invoice amount, they check the website of where the item came from and then charge V.A.T @19% on the cost the website lists, then (Again from experience) they use a sliding scale on the weight of the item and add the average cost of shipping at any arbitrary value that they see fit to add, and there is no recourse to dispute this.

So, for being in a location that formbot’s EU warehouse has decided to discriminate against it would costs certain customers around $400 extra for the privilege of being discriminated against.

What they should do is to have a notification on there website which advises customers that’s customers in certain locations are unable to be serviced by certain warehouses, but hey if they did that it might impact sales…

All in all, a very disappointing buying experience and very enlightening that the company so willingly/quickly offered to attempt to break the law.
