The Forest School App is one system for running a forest school, built around the Forest School Association's six principles by a practising forest school leader in the UK. Parents book and pay through one link, with no account or app to install. Bookings become your register. The register carries your risk-benefit assessments and your live adult-to-child ratio. As you run the session it becomes observations, photos and a complete record, so the paperwork is done by the time you leave the woods. Everything works offline on the field app for iPhone and Android and syncs when you are back in signal, so a site with no phone reception is not a problem. Dynamic risk changes, tools and fire, weather decisions, incidents and medication are all recorded live in the field, and every session produces a full PDF record automatically. Consent is enforced by construction: a child without photo consent cannot be photographed. Safeguarding concerns are visible only to your designated safeguarding lead, never to general staff or administrators. The app is free for individual practitioners, who can keep their profile, DBS, first aid and qualification records in one place and share them with every organisation they work for. Organisations pay a flat monthly fee, Solo or Team, with unlimited woods on every plan and a free trial with no card needed. We are a small UK team and we read every review.

What a fantastic app - it does everything I could possibly need as a Forest School leader. The support team were responsive and answered questions quickly. What's more they were happy to respond to feedback and add specific features for our uniqure Forest School setting. I will definetely recommned!

Brilliant app! Does everything I need for when I’m in the forest. Especially like the offline functionality for occasions when there’s no signal. So easy to make observations and link with a photo. Simple to navigate and keeps all your paperwork in one accessible location. Love the reminder function that lets you know when your First Aid certificate etc needs updated. Highly recommend! 🤩
