Very poor communication
Wood was delivered on the wrong day so I wasn't there to receive it. It was left in a car park. No communication from seller to tell me this and when I called to ask where the order was, the seller was completely unapologetic. Would not recommend.

Caroline wanted wood delivered to a girl guide site near to us. On the day she requested delivery, vehicle movements were not allowed on the camping pitches due to the number of children on site. The site manager informed us where we were allowed to safely deliver that was close by and we did so the day after the order was placed. Voicemail and text were left before delivery explaining this arrangement

Forest firewood
First Time Purchasers…
The first time we have used Forest Firewood. It took a while to arrange delivery, with a combination of email and voicemail.
The wood is well seasoned and effectively split to burn in our smallish wood burner.
We won’t light it until it gets much colder, so I can’t comment on how it will burn yet, but I’m not expecting any problems.

Good communication and quick delivery. Logs are good with the first few fires we've had with them, some are a little bit long, just about fit in our wood burner, other than that all great.

Although a swift delivery, half of the wood delivered is very poor quality for burning. Our order was placed late in the season, but wood of this quality should be sold at a discounted rate if it is all that is left

Hi Amanda. Thanks for your message. your order was delivered out to you 2 weeks ago and I've not heard anything from you until reading this review today. If you had called and explained your issues I would of course have popped out and either exchanged or refunded you. Upon delivery I met your father at your home and we offloaded the timber onto your drive, as usual I performed visual and moisture content checks on the loads. I spoke with your father and he seemed very happy with the delivery before telling me he was going to load it into the store. We process tree surgery timber as the core source of our supply and invariably some trees come in to us that have been affected by rot. These pieces are taken out of firewood production and if any had slipped through I apologise. The timber was a mix of beech birch ash and Oak. We have over 400 repeat customers in the New Forest and we have never had feedback such as yours.
I'm more than happy to pop back and collect the wood and refund you for the amount left, or replace it- please do give me a call on Monday to arrange a convenient time 01590 619313

Excellent service
Really great, friendly service with good communication throughout. Took the time to check we were happy with the log sizes and explain the different types of wood in the delivery, along with where they were harvested which was really good to know. We've already started on the logs and they're burning great in the wood burner!

The delivery was as arranged
The delivery was as arranged, and the wood was nice and dry. However, having previously ordered firewood from other sellers which had fitted into my log burner, a proportion of the logs in this delivery are much too long, and cannot be used unless they are recut, which is disappointing..
