The produce is always fresh

The produce is always fresh. And the cashiers are usually friendly. There just isn't enough of them at registers. And the prices are too high.

Food Lion for Organic, low prices

I have shopped at Food Lion in this area (and other stores) for 19 years. Over those years, Food Lion has increased the number of organic food items—fresh and pre-packaged—where other big retailers have decreased their selections. I have been on an extremely low budget for the last four years. Yes, you do need to look at anything fresh before you purchase it(anywhere), but for my money, my groceries will mainly come from there because getting older, I need to eat a healthy diet. Food Lion allows me to do that on my budget.

Food loin on Jefferson Davis near wwaa…

Food loin on Jefferson Davis near wwaa is working with non citizens to harm shoppers and allow them to come in store to place products around the store for them to use stuff thru security cameras and phones to make ppl health go bad upon Peggy Woodford enter store I noticed the front end guy put open soda with barcode towards me yesterday they lay 2 bottles of water in the floor they placed the cart with stock on it in way they put step thing in the way the store manager knows all about it I spoke to her numerous time about what’s going on in the store with these ppl coming in doing she feels comfortable doing this every day with carts and other items I have plenty pictures of what’s going on send me wear I can send pictures if you’ll don’t take action I will go over you’ll head these ppl are dangerously ppl under tramp law they are ppl that need be locked up and store managers need be place

ripped off again by foodlion Benson NC. got home from grocery shopping to find 3 of the 4 tomatoes in prepackaged container are rotten. not the first time these people have sold me bad food.

Roach legs?

Omg I got A can of pork n beans , which I love! However, I made a mistake of getting the ones from Food Lion and their brand of pork beans in tomato sauce. Yuckh the beans were too hard and when I looked at the sauce cause I just wanted to have it as Dipping sauce when I looked at the sauce clearly it looked like roach legs Throughout the sauce I would never Used those beams again!

Getting ripped off

I live and shop in Chapin SC. GENERALLY speaking the store has good service, pleasant cashiers, polite, and friendly. As for national brands they're for the most part, less expensive, especially one chain that starts with a P. My BIG complaint is certain vegetables are tasteless. I keep my receipt and return the c--p. If the produce manager would take a sample taste and refuse the load things would change..if ONE major chain would set an example we MIGHT get some good TASTYsucculent fruits and veggies. Right now, we're just throwing our money away and allowing to get ripped off.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service, several employees stood around while myself and another customer had to self checkout with a lot of items. A employee went to get another cart for him to help his self scanning and bagging. Store 159 13200 falls of neuse Raleigh NC

We had a cashier last night who got very rude when I had to type in my ebt card number bc the strip quit working at first she wouldn't let me type it in and I know I can I do in tyro all the time.. she told me she nor food lion cared if my pregnant daughter ate tonight I'm still very hurt I'm that was uncalled for

It's time for me and Food Lion to part…

It's time for me and Food Lion to part ways. I shopped 2/25/25 at #02204 In Fort Mill SC. After sale items were discounted, my bill was $105.87. I had a Shop and Earn balance of $7.00. This $7.00 was not taken off my order. (The App shows I still have the balance.) I returned to the store today to inquire about it and some rather rude woman in Customer Service couldn't help me. She said she didn't know why it wasn't taken off the total. She further advised me that there was nothing she could do about it. So I'm out $7.00...doesn't sound like much but most Senior Citizens need to account for every penny spent. This Food Lion is less than 2 miles from my home, but I will now be driving about 6 miles to a WalMart Neighborhood Market, where the employees are always pleasant and helpful, and the prices are much lower! So...bye bye Food Lion.

This is the worst of all supermarkets in the area of Salisbury Md, always out of products , and don’t waste your time asking an employee a question, it will be “ I do know” they don’t even try to ask a manager!! I never shop there again !!

The cashier was very rude.We went to the one on Peter's Creek Parkway in Winston Salem by Dairios..My husband was helping her move the cans up in the conveyor and a can hit her hand..She started cussing him out with saying F you...so he started arguing with her..another employee came over and started arguing too.Both very rude.We just left out groceries there and left..The cashier didn't greet us with a hello and then proceeded to be more than rude.Ill never go back to that store..and not sure I'll ever go back to a Food Lion period.

Rude Employee at Gastonia

I went to FooLion last Thursday and one of the employees, he was stocking shelves was being inappropriate and made rude remarks about my clothes, I was shocked by the unprofessionalism. He asked why was I wearing an old lady glasses. I’m 30! Then I asked where the toilet paper was and he said “Yeah I bet you need that” and refused to help me.

Much improvement needed!

I shop almost exclusively at Food Lion, as I live about half way between the Tyncastle and Boone stores. It used to be that there was very little difference between the two (although the Tyncastle store has always been a bit better), but now the Boone store is horrible! I understood their lack of inventory, construction in most of the cooler areas and lack of staff the first few months after Helene, but now there is no excuse. Yesterday I took photos of just a few of the problems I saw when I was there between 11 and 11:30: filthy floors, empty produce bins (especially for sale items), wilted lettuce and other greens, no rotisserie chicken out even at 11:30 when they are supposed to be out by 11, check-out registers not operating properly. These issues are typical these days. What I couldn't take a photo of was the ear-piercing sound of the delivery door alarm that no one was around to stop for at least 7 minutes! Food Lion MUST do better than this! (see photos to back this up on Yelp review.)

Food Lion in Kannapolis NC the Oak Mall…

Food Lion in Kannapolis NC the Oak Mall store is absolutely horrible. They rarely ever have anything that we order for home shop. We are disabled and can't shop in store. When they are out of product, instead of calling like other stores they tell you they're out instead of asking for a substitution. When I try to call they have closed the order and expect me to order another $25 order to get the one item I was missing. Horrible.

Horrible meat purchase from the Food Lion, Main Street location, Fuquay-Varina, NC

This review is is regarding a meat purchase at the Food Lion store, located at 1338 N Main St, Fuquay Varina, NC.

Around a week before Christmas, my wife purchased a 3+ lb brisket meat from this location, because we were planning on having this on Christmas day, especially since some close friends were coming over that day. It should be noted that my wife is a gourmet cook and she got up early to ensure that the brisket was cooked to perfection, along with the preparation for all the other meal items.

Well, when it came time to finish the meat, she (and all of us) were beyond flabbergasted to experience a rubbery, tough textured meat, with no taste whatsoever. How could this be? Well, it was apparently a very bad cut of meat, labeled as brisket. It was so rubbery, that it immediately ruined the festive mood. We didn't have any backup, so everybody had to become a vegetarian on Christmas Day.

Most of our meat purchases in the past have been from Harris Teeter or Lowes, and we've never had issues such as this with any of their meat selections.

My wife (and I agree) said she will never purchase meats again from Food Lion - it was that horrible - perhaps one of the worst pieces of meat we've ever had.

So buyer beware - that was almost a $30 waste of money for us - bummer.

I spent almost $170.00 for a 15 lb Standing Rib Roast and seasonings needed to prepare. It was delivered to my son's new home (over an hour away from me) where we were going to celebrate Christmas/New Home together with my daughter-in-law's family. The anticipation and excitement to have Prime Rib was high. Unfortunately, we did not receive a whole 15 lb prime rib, it was cut into sections. Although it was the first time cooking it for my daughter-in-law, had it been whole as ordered, the cooking technique would have work perfectly. Having followed the instruction I gave (super easy and my son has cooked them before) The Prime Rib turned into Rib Roast mid-well to well. 2 families to feed ALL looking forward to Prime Rib mid-rare. Very disappointed there wasn't a notice or message sent advising the Prime Rib would be sectioned. At least she could have known to cook it in sections, one at a time with different time frames. Nothing. We don't return food as it only gets wasted and thrown away. Please insure that your online customers know EXACTLY what we will get for a seasonal, expensive item.
