We went to the cafe for breakfast
We went to the cafe for breakfast, the Sausage sandwich was not plain sausage, I brought some home and the smell in my kitchen was awful. I threw the whole pack of 6 in the bin. Why can’t you just go back to the previous recipe, as they were great.

Fodders have changed the recipe for their pork sausages and the taste and constancy is not a good as they use to be. Whilst I understand there has to be a gluten free option which is great, why don’t they offer a gluten free bread bun for them to go in? Can’t get one from the fodder on the hood van don’t know about the cafe?

Popped in for a birthday treat but the restaurant service was a shambles!! Clearly under staffed and those working looked like they had been sedated!! No one seemed to be in charge. The shop is limited and eye wateringly expensive but the deli counter is very good but again very expensive..eg £5+ for half a small pot of olives!!! Used to be a favourite of ours when they first opened but won't be rushing back.

Met Tracey while I was out walking my dog near Harrogate campground. Stopped by the farm shop in our way out and picked up lunch. It was delicious. Would have bought more but limited in fridge space in the motor home. Really nice and well stocked shop supporting farmers.
An affordable treat.
It's easy to see why Fodder is so popular with visitors and locals alike. A bright and airy venue with expansive views of open countryside. Staff very pleasant and efficient; the food - good value for excellent quality. We will return.
A quiet Harrogate gem
This is truly a quiet Harrogate gem - cafe, shop, deli, grocer and more... And a business that ploughs all its profits back into Yorkshire farming. The ambience really is uplifting - high ceiling, bright / warm lighting, huge glass frontage looking over the fields and animals. Most striking though are the staff throughout Fodder. They seem to be mainly women (intriguing emphasis!) who have 'lived enough of life' to bring a natural and cheerful maturity to the way they engage with customers. That's a strangely reassuring experience when you're used to young staff in most places, who breeze through pleasantly but often quite superficially. I could name many of the staff, but yesterday it was Julie and Nikki who served us so warmly. Many thanks to you all.
Very good !!!
