Excellent software and service. Highly recommended

At last, an intuitive, useful, fun and student-friendly alternative to TechSoft 2D Design! This app is great - I've run it with several classes for over a year and the reviews from the students are unanimous - they love it.

Amazing company.
For an upcoming interview, I had to teach a class how to use Focus Educational's 2D Designer but hadn't used this software before. I called the company and explained my situation...they sent me 2 weeks free trial and a link to their instructional videos! Outstanding customer service. And I got the job! Thank you Dave Hodge!

We had a strange problem accessing the site. I reached out to support and had an answer almost immediately, they worked on the issue over the weekend so that our staff and students could use the service on the Monday. Fantastic service!

Fab software, allowing several variables to be explored. Great for revision, or for independent learning. I like how the simulations often have random errors built into them.

Excellent resource for Junior and Leaving Certificate students of Engineering or Technology. This material gives students clear, concise information coupled with video resources.

Excellent program and resources, which have been no end of help so far. Customer service is faultless, any tech issues I've had have been solved straight away. Would recommend Focus eLearning to all DT teachers.

This is an excellent piece of software which allows students and teachers to access the required practicals for gcse science. After our science labs were rendered unusable due to RAAC and we were left with few/no labs or equipment, the software enabled us to show the students the required practicals. Viewing the practicals on a screen at the front of the classroom improves visibility for all students e.g. of a ripple tank. Data obtained from the experiments can be used to plot graphs, ensuring that all students have sensible data. So this resource has been invaluable to me

I've used the company for several years, formally as a purchase of software via CDROM now as an online subscription. Payment processes have been quick adn reliable. The website never seems to crash.

But most importantly the software is great, particularly during covid.

Focus software is a complete course in design, I use it for dp and myp work. Easy to export ideas ready for laser cutting dxf…. Cloud based is perfect for all operating systems

This is really helpful software to support students learning and understanding, especially of practical work. They can use the software to get some very accurate results, after having done the lab work. Useful also for online learning.

Having used Focus Learn for the past 6.5 years... I can conclude the software is a "must have" for any secondary science department. The platform covers all Required Practical Activities and in addition, a plethora of other useful video/animations that are relevant to Secondary school science (KS3-KS5). Recommended.

The virtual experiments have been a lifesaver over the last few years when practical work has been problematic in schools. There is a great range of investigations and they have been linked to the relevant exam board which makes finding them really easy.
There is also a good range of images and notes on lots of topics across all Science.
We use this a lot within the department and would recommend it to other teachers. Great value for money

This is such a great resource. We are an apple school and the app works with all of our systems. The students use the mindmap tool to help with their initial research for their exam projects. They use the video clips to support their drawing/ modelling techniques. The 2D drawing tool links to the laser cutter which allows students to work on their projects from home. The materials and processes videos and clips really aid learning. It really is a one stop shop of D&T awesomeness!

A FANTASTIC suite of materials which I have used since it first came out. A great teaching resource for all year groups from yr 7 through to A level. It has evolved with new Tech and IT developments. Created by teachers for teachers.

As the move towards cloud based storage and learning becomes more prevalent, this 2D CAD software has become our new 'go-to' resource.
Now we rarely use the 'traditional' software used by DT departments for years as the freedom to allow students to access the platform out of school and via Chromebooks is hugely beneficial.
This great resource is part of a very competitive bundle of quality resources that arguably represent some of the best value for money out there.

Dave and team are always there to provide support and to listen to the customer ond enhancements to the simulations. I have made over ten requests and they have adapted the software within 24 hours every time. This beats most software simulations as it provides experimental variation to the data set.

Its a relief to have this program as it has solved the issues we were having with our change to Chromebooks. Dave is a great listener and support, trouble shooting and advising.
