I felt singled out and targeted by the…
I felt singled out and targeted by the Frontier gate employees based on how I looked. While I was waiting in line, an employee specifically tagged me and demanded that I place my bag in the sizer.
Before leaving home, I had checked Frontier’s posted size requirements online and physically measured my bag to make sure it complied. However, when I arrived at the gate, the opening of the physical bag sizer appeared smaller than the measurements Frontier advertised online. My bag met the dimensions I had been given, yet I was forced to pay a $99 fee at the gate or risk not being allowed to board.
Passengers should not be given one set of measurements online and then confronted with what appears to be a different standard at the gate. My first time flying frontier and def will be the last. Plus the plane was FILTHY. The whole experience felt misleading, and predatory.
I am working with U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Aviation Consumer Protection to try and help save other people! Do not fly Frontier!
Hours Wasted by Technical Issues and Poor Customer Service
I’m a frequent Frontier customer and genuinely like the airline’s prices and routes. Unfortunately, my recent customer service experience was terrible and wasted roughly three hours of my time just trying to book flights.
The Frontier app would not let me access my account with my Discount Den membership and points because the security code would not come through to my email. I tried repeatedly, checked junk mail, verified my information, and even tried different email addresses. This happened while I was at ATL urgently trying to rebook after a delayed flight, so I ultimately had to book without using my Discount Den benefits.
The next day, I tried booking a TPA–CLE round trip for my girlfriend and me and still couldn’t access my account. I called Frontier, and the first agent was very nice. He booked the flights, opened an IT ticket, and seated my girlfriend next to me.
However, he told me I had to add her carry-on online. When I tried, Frontier’s system gave me another error saying my customer code was not recognized. I then had to call back and spend another 30–40 minutes just to purchase a bag.
At that point, I asked whether Frontier would consider comping the carry-on given the hours I had already spent dealing with their technical issues. They declined, which I accepted.
What really bothered me was the manager’s response. Instead of acknowledging the problem, she started quizzing me about whether I had followed Frontier’s “proper troubleshooting” procedures. I had already spoken with two Frontier employees, checked my junk mail, verified my credentials, and tried repeatedly.
I finally told her that Frontier should be helping me solve the problem rather than questioning whether I knew their troubleshooting process. I also explained that when a company wastes this much of a customer’s time, I would expect some effort to make it right. Nothing was offered, and when I said I would report the experience, she simply said that was fine.
Technical issues happen. What matters is how a company responds. Frontier turned a technical problem into a much worse customer service experience and showed very little concern for the amount of time it cost a frequent customer.
Frontier is horrible!
This is the 2nd time i have had this same experience with Frontier. My flight was for 3pm 8/28/26. It was delayed 3x before we were allowed to get on the plane. During the time we were almost finished boarding the someone came on the plane intercom and told us we would have to exit the plane because THE AIR CONDITIONING WASN'T WORKING and THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS WHERE OUT OF THERE WORK HOURS. Once off the plane the flight appeared as canceled on the app, We were told that we would not get hotel accommodations because the flight was canceled due to the weather. Thankfully we were able to purchase our hotel ourselves. I will NEVER fly Frontier because of the noncommunication and the fabrication of the cancelation being due to weather. I DO NOT want any more vouchers offered being offered, a refund is well deserved. I also missed work today 8/29/26

Absolutely the worst airline I’ve ever…
Absolutely the worst airline I’ve ever flown with. If I could give it a 0 star i would, they are money hungry and want to charge random fee every time you turn around. Save yourself the stress and time from the many delays and money from all the money hungry vultures. Fly a different airline.
NEVER FLY FRONTIER
NEVER FLY FRONTIER. They have horrible customer service and so many delays. Definitely not worth the money not to mention everytime you turn around they charging fees. This airline is money hungry and horrible. Save yourself some time and money book with a different airline.

Extremely disappointing and stressful…
Extremely disappointing and stressful experience at Frontier Airlines check-in
We arrived at the Frontier check-in desk at around 1:20 PM, with the stated check-in/bag-drop closing time of 1:25 PM. We were travelling with our 4-year-old in a stroller and our 9-year-old, so we were already under pressure to get everything done quickly.
A staff member named Rose directed us to a self-service machine to get our baggage tag. The machine repeatedly displayed: “Your bag is greater than 40 lbs, continue.” We knew this was incorrect, so we tried another machine, but received the same message.
We then had our bag weighed separately and confirmed that it was only 38 lbs.
We went back to Rose for help. Initially, she told us to try the machine ourselves. When she eventually came to assist, the machine was then telling us to seek assistance at the front desk. At that point, Rose told us that check-in had closed and she could no longer accept our baggage.
The most frustrating part was that we had arrived approximately five minutes before the stated deadline. We were trying to resolve an issue with Frontier's own check-in system, yet instead of helping us, we were told that we had “wasted our own time” by moving between machines.
By around 1:27 PM, we were given two options: two of us could travel that day while the other two travelled the following day, or we could pay approximately $304 extra to travel the next morning.
The lack of empathy and assistance was incredibly disappointing. We were a family with two young children, had arrived before the published deadline, and were prevented from checking our baggage because of a confusing problem with the airline's own system.
I completely understand that airlines have strict deadlines, but customers should receive reasonable assistance when they arrive before the deadline and are delayed because of an issue with the airline's equipment.
Frontier should review the CCTV and check-in records, investigate the self-service machine issue, and review the way this situation was handled by the staff member.
This was one of the most unpleasant and stressful airline check-in experiences our family has ever had. Very disappointing customer service.
Omg really bad experience
Omg really bad experience. I am active duty and lady was so rude whit my 2 backpack haha is insane they try to charge me when we have free backpacks insane
CHOOSE ANOTHER AIRLINE
CHOOSE ANOTHER AIRLINE. YOU CAN'T DO ANY WORSE. MY RATING ISN'T 1, IT'S 0.
Terrible experience
I arrived to the gate 16min before the scheduled take off time and they told me the gates closed 4 minutes prior. I was late because of unexpected traffic and excessive wait time at TSA. When I called the help line they said I could be re-booked at no additional cost once the no show was removed. I was instructed to meet the manager at the main terminal to pay the difference. Once there the manager didn't come to meet me and I had to buy new tickets full price. The next day there was a maintenance issue with the plane. But they made no announcements and the app never updated that it was delayed. Finally 10min before the scheduled take off I was able to speak to a gate agent who informed me, we would miss our connecting flight. Thankfully there was another flight later in the day. If there hadn't been, it would have meant 2 days instead of 1 for lost wages and extra costs incurred. I will never fly Frontier again and I will strongly recommend anyone I know not to fly frontier.
Terrible Experience
I had a terrible experience with Frontier Airlines and will think twice before flying with them again. On two separate occasions, we sat on the plane for about an hour before takeoff because of “paperwork.”Delays happen, but repeatedly boarding passengers and then leaving everyone sitting there for an hour because paperwork isn’t ready is incredibly frustrating.
What makes it worse is the attitude that wasting passengers’ time is simply no big deal. There was very little sense of urgency or concern about the inconvenience being caused.
Frontier already offers essentially no included amenities. Everything feels like an additional charge, so at the very least I would expect the basic operation of getting passengers to their destination reasonably close to schedule to be handled efficiently.
Low fares are only a bargain when you can actually depend on the airline. After experiencing these delays more than once, the savings are simply not worth the frustration, lost time, and poor customer experience.
Frontier Airlines are scammers, don't trust their in-flight promotions!
Frontier Airlines offered and in-flight promotion to sign up for their Frontier credit card. Use the promo code on your application and receive 7 free flights with them once you're approved. I signed up using the promo code, received my card, but didn't receive any information on my free flights. Customer service told me they have no such promotion and that they're sorry for the miscommunication from the in-flight crew. They didn't even ask for the promo code to look it up and see if it was in their system. They're liars and scammers and aren't to be trusted. Avoid this scamming P.O.S. airline if you're able to.
I will never fly frontier again
I will never fly frontier again, I don’t care how cheap the ticket is. I booked our flight together for me and my partner but they purposely seat you separately so you can upgrade a seat to sit together. Then they have higest fees for luggage. Don’t waste your time are money . No wonder they have the lowest rating hopefully they go right behind spirit.
Awful
So many extra fees it costs more than other places and you have to pay for your boarding pass if you get it at the airport…something you can do for free at any other airline.
Worst airline ever they do not care…
Worst airline ever they do not care about their passengers they don’t help anyone and they always have technical problems on the flight never going to use this airlines again
Erroneous cancellation of flight
Frontier canceled a flight that my wife bought for her best friend so she could visit. She was sincerely looking forward to it and was extremely disappointed and sad when the cancellation happened. Upon calling Frontier, they canceled the flight because they thought that it was "fraud". Instead of reaching out to us, like a reasonable business, they canceled it without communication. Apparently, they could do nothing about the cancellation either. This airline doesn't even seem to make sense for budget travelers if they do things like that.
Frontier Airlines is the worst airline…
Frontier Airlines is the worst airline I have ever flown with. On August 17, 2026, our flight, Frontier Flight 3075 from BWI to CLT, was cancelled after we had already arrived at the airport. No explanation was provided by staff, and we were simply told they could not fly us today. This cancellation was due to an airline-controlled issue,
CAUTION - DO NOT FLY FRONTIER
CAUTION - DO NOT FLY FRONTIER AIRLINES...EXTRA FEES WILL KILL THE PRICE!!
My experience with Frontier Airlines was extremely disappointing. I purchased my ticket through Expedia, but the additional fees for baggage and seat selection were not clearly disclosed to me at the time of booking. I ultimately had to pay $185 in additional fees, which was a significant increase over the price I initially expected to pay.
What made the experience even more frustrating was being required to use Frontier’s app and pay these fees in order to obtain my boarding passes. The entire process felt unnecessarily complicated and lacking in transparency.
I understand that Frontier operates as a low-cost airline, but customers should be given clear and upfront information about the total cost of their trip before purchasing. In my experience, the initial ticket price was misleading once the additional fees were added. Based on this experience, I would be very hesitant to fly Frontier again.
