If I could give 0 stars...

flyefit ensure HIGH HYGIENE STANDARDS- the lies. The lies.... they decided to remove paper towels and sprays. Now cant use my towel because almost all benches are disgusting and dont want to put towels on dirty bench, after god knows how many heads were there before... do they really expect a cleaner to clean benches/equipment after someone whos lazy enough to leave greasy marks on benches? Not mentioning treadmills, the most disgusting Ive ever seen. I feel sorry for the cleaners if flyefit expect them to clean equipment (as per their signs).

Lockers - Sinks havent seen a cream cleaner and sponge for a long time, not even talking about Showers- the cleaning team has no idea how to clean showers, sinks,etc..all lockers need a proper clean - maybe a training would be great, especially colour-coding ;) ,but they keep gym floor clean.. at least.. the equipment is fine but repairs take ages to be done. Since I have roaming membership I go to a few of them, especially the one which one is very close to my work. Was robbed once (at flyefit George's st, early Sunday morning,so better don't bring any cash/cards with you)

The Most Worn Out Gym - Needs Complete Renovation

I used the gym for two days while visiting. It is the worst gym I have been to. A lot of weight lifting equipment - racks, barbells and dumbbells are absolutely worn out. The barbells are so rusted you can’t determine where the mid point is for balance when gripping it. Dumbbells have chunks of rubber in the grips missing. There are a couple of newer machines but the vast majority of equipment has not been replaced in many years; the whole place needs to be revamped and replaced.

The gym is spread out over five floors with certain stairways only providing access to certain floors. Better signage would help a lot.

The whole gym is way overdue for refurbishment and for equipment to be replaced. Come on owners, do the right thing for your customers!

Disappointing Experience at FlyeFit…

Disappointing Experience at FlyeFit Ranelagh
While FlyeFit generally offers good value (the one on George Street is great), the Ranelagh branch seems to be poorly managed by their Duty Manager. Over the past couple of years, I've witnessed a lack of professionalism and attention to customer service. There have been multiple instances of broken equipment and unsanitary conditions that have gone unaddressed. When I pointed them out to their Duty Manager Riccardo Lelli I was just yelled at, that he didn’t want to do anything about it – it being broken equipment, blocked airvents, broken aircondition, paper towels and cleaning equipment missing for weeks at a time. It’s disappointing to see neglected maintenance, including gym machines, toilets, and shower facilities. Additionally, there seems to be an overall lack of support for gym members. Simple amenities, like towels for cleaning equipment, have been consistently unavailable, leading to an unhygienic environment that can be off-putting for anyone trying to maintain a workout routine. I've found that while some staff members genuinely care about their work and providing a positive experience, the management aspect leaves much to be desired – again their Duty Manager. It raises questions about how the management structure operates and why these issues persist. As a result of these experiences, I’ve decided it’s time to seek out a different gym that aligns better with my expectations for cleanliness, support, and overall management. I hope that the leadership at FlyeFit Ranelagh takes this feedback seriously and considers improvements for future members or perhaps make some personnel changes.

Swords branch

I've been with Flyefit for 3 years and I have roming membership scheme.
I am mostly using Swords gym as it is 24 hrs and it works for me the best for early morning sessions.
My review is based mainly on this location.
Pros:
Open 24 hrs, Affordable, great classes, good PT's, Clean, onsite Parking.
Cons:
Can get crowded at certain times- leading to weight shortage. Lockers in the shower rooms could do with attention- quite a few broken.
The most annoying one for me is- people leaving their bars with weights on and going hone! This is often the case when I go in early (5am), maybe person who is sitting in the boot overnight could do the walk around and get this tidied?

Thefts, neglect and TOTAL lack of responsibility

Bad is not even the right word. I got robbed TWICE in this gym chain. They open your locker (it doesn’t matter what kind of padlock you have, I had 2 different and good ones) and steal your personal stuff (money, personal belongings, KEYS, they stole even my keys!!). The staff ignore you at all times, they do nothing at all. They don’t take any responsibility for their own clients. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!
You don’t matter at all to this business, BOYCOTT THIS BUSINESS!

I have been a member for almost 5 years…

I have been a member for almost 5 years and i have visited many of Flyefits locations For a module of a low cost gym i find majority well equipped well run but they can be very busy but what else would you expect
They have heavily invested in gyms and have opened new gyms and every new gym gets better than previous openings.I do think they should mange gyms better on peak times.just on some of most recent visits to Dundrum i found equipment very good majority new , Dumbbells organised in sequence good working space , good layout. Stillorgan showers were closed no email. sent bit annoying this was as off Friday morning 25/9/25, Equipment some still old some new i guess they have not upgraded as yet.
Sandyford nearly 2 years open this is where mainly train in am as pm is absolutely packed,I honestly can not understand why changing made so small myb bedroom is almost bigger .It is well equipped plenty of cage racks about 20 in total. dumbbell area good but not organised and that in my view is bad management and her failure to implement a system that other flyefits use.1 disadvantage if you are a dedicated gym user and use kb fro 7-8am you cannot access them and from 5-8 some evenings you cant access kb and other bits
1 piece of equipment very close to studio entrance is pec dec and is actually dangerous as it comes out sometimes distance is hard to pass comfortably.could be suited elsewhere inn gym.i mentioned earlier bout groups hogging equipment this is happening to regular in sandyford and instructors oblivious to this should be addressed, and restrictions on amount of people using 1 piece of equipment.
Maintenance /repairs generally good.Music gym floor generally very low. showers clean toilets clean.

FLYEFIT Swords Highly recommend

Flyefit especially Flyefit Swords go over and above for their members. They have a great professional team of trainers who push each Flyefit member to their limit and beyond. Highly recommend if you are just starting out, moved to Dublin or are in need of a kick start this is the gym for you.

Very good

The managers from FlyeFit from the head office, Michael Duffy is amazing. He has always answered to my emails and always did the best to support my needs.

Have nothing to complain, you have a lot of Flyefits around Dublin so it's easy to find one that suits you.

Shockingly bad

Shockingly bad. Visited the jervis st one with a day pass. Totally and utterly overcrowded, with queues of 2 people deep for every machine. Worst gym experience I have ever had. Definitely avoid, it’s absolutely terrible.

Don't waste your money

I have been a member since opening and its gone to the dogs since Mick the last manager moved on. The ladies toilets are always blocked and dirty resulting in having to leave the gym to use a rest room. The music can get so loud when classes are not on, you cannot concentrate it comes through your headphones and puts you off training. Its also so over crowded now. There should be a limit on membership numbers.

This used to be a great gym, its a shame the way it is being run now.

FLYEfit Blanchardstown my lock was…

FLYEfit Blanchardstown my lock was tampered with and broken when I returned after my work out. Someone stole my possessions out of my locker. Very disappointed with the lack of security so even with a lock you are not safe. Make sure you bring your stuff with you to the floor and don’t use the lockers as the gym will not be able to do anything other then send CCTV to the Garda however they can’t see who accessed your locker so you are at a loss if theft takes place!!

Arrogant Staff member at Jervis branch - 3 May '24

The app fails to provide access to the gym, necessitating a min 10-min wait outside for manual assistance from staff. Yesterday's experience was particularly frustrating, as the duty manager, Flavio at Jervis, arrived 15 mins later, attempted to scan the QR code himself after I demonstrated & instead of offering a solution to the ongoing issue, suggested changing gym because I complained. Did I pay for changing the gym??

This level of arrogance was unexpected given my longstanding membership and payment for services. Evidently, Flavio needs more training.
