Stay clear of this company at all cost - they seem to be trading while insolvent

Stay clear of this company at all cost. They are happy to take your money for tickets they fully know they will never be able to deliver on and when they cancel your flights, they tell you a refund will be there in 21 days.
Just that they know better, - nobody ever gets their refund in 21 days
An airline that sells tickets they know they will not be able to deliver on is nothing but a scam.
An airline unable to refund sold tickets is trading while insolvent
We urge anyone with outstanding refunds with Bonza to report them to the ACCC
No way to call them, no way to email them. Only option is a message through their own mobile app which they never reply to.
Why would anyone n their right state of mind pay money to an insolvent company that gives no ways of communicating person to person?

Save yourself the headache

Save yourself the headache. They take your money with all intention to cancel the flight.
It is a nightmare getting your money back, no automatic refund, no customer service phone number to call. I've been waiting 3 weeks.
You have to sit in a queue for hours in a live chat until someone is available. God forbid you walk away from the chat for 10 minutes while waiting for a reply because they will close the chat and you have to start again.

Recently flew from Newcastle to Sunshine coast return, the flight was on time and had plenty of space on the plane.
I hope they start doing more flights from newcastle

Bonsa for Bozo's

35 days after been told of a 21 refund from one of those cancelled flights. Spoke online chat and was told that my refund had been processed but would still be a further week away. Now read between the lines. Hold your money as long as they can, keeping the company liquid. Re fund after X number of days. That's you money that is running the company interest free. Can't talk straight to them. Hang you out to dry for as long as they can and then add extra time to it to squeeze you a little bit further. If it smells like it, it sounds like it,well need I say any more.

Absolute nightmare!

I have a family member (my dad) that is terminally ill, and had my best friends wedding, nearly missed out on both- Bonza cancelled flights both ways at last minute. Had to pay a fortune for new flights obviously chose another airline. I have had no refund and have felt such stress and frustration at the lack of customer service and total lack of respect from Bonza. Bonza not only are allowed to just take hard earned money off people (for nothing) but have no processes in place for anything really, no formal complaints process, I can’t find a charter and they have a chat page that is just disgusting. It took me until two days ago to finally connect with someone, mostly auto replies and they made a mistake with my refund, then tell me it has already been processed….thank god I persisted but not sure I’ll see my money again as it has been over 21 days since they raised refund and still my money has not been returned, I’m out pocket hundreds of dollars. What an absolutely horrific experience and I will be taken further action…it’s not about anything now except that this should never be allowed to continue. I’m not interested in Bonza politics and poor excuses, as Bonza should know better, terrible leadership no doubt.

Don't do it

Don't do it! They cancelled my flight at the airport on check in. No other options. Had to rebook Jetstar costing hundreds of dollars at late notice. Not sure how to get a refund. The worst ever!
Christmas holiday almost ruined. Lucky I had some savings to save my trip.

Bonza is a very poor joke

I paid for flights from Sunshine Coast to Newcastle. Needed to take 7.30am flight. On the day my flight got continuously changed until I was to fly at 1.30pm which was too late and i would have missed ny business meeting. Same with return flights. I got bumped to a much later flight home. It is a 2 hour drive to the airport so I didn't go. Tried to call them, got the service desk for Qantas and Emirates. You can't email them either. The only contact is a Bot that does not ever respond. Do not bother with Bonza they just took my money and I flew no where

You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for, unfortunately for myself I have paid 10 tickets/fares to and fro regarding work all for December 2023, look elsewhere! How and why an Airline can offer fares, end up on A Current Affair and just smile is beyond my knowledge. Ombudsman please step in!!

PLEASE STAY AWAY from Fly Bonza

PLEASE STAY AWAY from Fly Bonza. It's the shittest airline with NO contact telephone. Dont you dare fall to their cheap fare lies, believe me you will be exposed to more stress and will end up out of pocket rather than saving. If you need a reliable airline, this is not the one for you. Pay more and fly with Qantas or Virgin or even Jetstar or Rex but NOT Fly Bonza.

The only way to book is via an app that is very temperamental and the only way to contact support is via a 6-8 hour wait in a chat. If you are lucky enough to receive a response, you better reply WITHIN 10mins or your ticket will be CLOSEF and you have to restart this whole process. This is the dumbest, shittest way of a customer service can get. This is frustrating. You will remember my statements whenever you need to contact them. Which airline wont have a contact number? Which airline would want their customers to wait for hours via a chat to receive a response to your query? I will never ever fly with this f**** airline again and do yourself a favour and STAY AWAY.

Bonza beware, Absolute joke

Our flights booked to go to my sons funeral cancelled the night before. Gold Coast to Launceston. There is no customer support, no refund offered, no assistance at all. it cost us another $2000 to book with another airline at short notice so we can make it to my sons funeral. Absolutely joke, they are making so many promises offering cheap flights to get their company going but they are ripping Australians off, taking our money and not providing a service as promised in their app and website. Their suggestion was to offer a new flight 5 days later which was on the same day as our booked return flight. So they booked us in on a new flight to arrive in Launceston 10/12/23 at 1.50pm but then our unchanged return flight was to leave Launceston at 2.35pm on 10/12/23??

Another Airline Joke

Townsville to Coolangatta December 3, 2023.
Flight cancelled with 24hr notice. A simple text apologising for the inconvenience with NO alternate offering.
As they are the only airline servicing this route, we had no choice other than to book with another airline at a considerably higher last-minute fare. However, our biggest dilemma was that we had to fly into Brisbane, rather than Coolangatta, then train (additional 2hrs) and taxi to reach Coolangatta and retrieve our car from Coolangatta Airport. In all a 7hr journey, not to mention the additional $700.00 we are out of pocket.
They should be stripped of their commercial aviation license before they create another embarrassing Australian Airline Failure!

Over and Above

Flew from the Sunshine Coast to Albury and back again. Both flights were pleasant, the planes were clean and new and the flight crew were happy and attentive. On the return leg the check in staff went over and above in accommodating me and my daughter who were late to the airport (through no fault of my own :-) ).
Very happy that I have this option from the Sunshine Coast.

Do not use if you need a reliable airline

Would give zero stars if possible.

They REGULARLY change the flight times. We planned our annual leave, accommodation and international flights around their schedule. Then they changed it by an entire day! It cost us over $600 to fix.

If you need a reliable airline, this is not the one for you.

The only way to book is via an app that is very temperamental and the only way to contact support is via a 6-8hour wait in a chat. If you are lucky enough to receive a response, you better reply wintin 10mins or your ticket will be closed and you have to restart this whole process.

We had flights booked and the cost to change the flight was more expensive than the actual flight! We ended up claiming it on insurance and rebooking completely.
